I have used Golfshot+ for years. I wanted to try the Enhanced GPS Heatmap and Putt map. They may be good; but I became distracted because: I cannot enter driving club; sand shots; penalties; and could not go back to GPS view after viewing scorecard. It would allow me only to end round or to edit the hole I was playing, but no more GPS or Heatmap or Putt map views. The maps may be helpful, but the recording of details of the round is rudimentary at best.
What used to be the best free app out there is now AWFUL. The functionality is completely counterintuitive. The fonts are too small (making reading the date virtually impossible). Even the most basic function (posting scores) is difficult to do. This is a very big disappointment. With the new handicapping system and daily changes to handicaps using the app should be much much easier. Please bring back the previous version!
I really like the new GPS function. The map I used was accurate, easy to read, and easy to use. That being said while I used it for the first time I had a problem with the app constantly freezing. I know it is a new feature, but it was frustrating. Then when I pushed the review button at the end I got a white screen. Luckily after several minutes it reloaded. Hopefully this gets addressed in future updates.
Great App, however it would be nice to have a little more flexibility to correct mistakes. I’m not always good about putting in my score on the same day as I played. Having the App default to the current day has resulted in me inputing my score on the wrong date several times. I would like to be able to disable the date default function to make me have to select/input the date before posting my score. Thanks.
