  1. Overall, this app is great! It sometimes crashes if I pause the workout for more than a few seconds, or glitches and repeats sets. BUT, I really like seeing the preview of the next exercise during my rest period, that I have the option to pause if I need a bit longer to rest, and that a lot of the prompts are both visual and auditory. This app really feels like I have my trainer in my ear, but even more convenient because it’s on my own time.

  2. Your App isn’t working anymore. My trainer keeps trying to add workouts for me but it doesn’t show up on my calandar. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but it still doesn’t work. It is useless now. Also, I don’t know who to contact about this issue as you only have FAQ section rather than a reliable contact email or number. It makes things even more frustrating.

This app has increased my physical fitness. There will be times where I’m just on to log something I’ve done and because of all of the exercises within the app, I always see another exercise I could do in the moment and increase my workout and calorie burned, so im ALL for it!! Nearly every exercise you can think of is in the app which makes it super convenient. Some have different names than what it may be called in a different workout app, but there’s usually a workout.

  4. Hard to use interface, not user-friendly. Finding a particular workout and then making it play took a lot of clicking around to figure out that I had to put the workout on a schedule first. I’d suggest conducting usability testing where first-time users are given typical tasks. Then observe what they do. J&J 7 minute workout app has a dead-simple interface. Aspire to that.

  5. This app sucks. I only use the QR code to get access to the gym now. I saw I could add a custom workout. Spent hours putting together a custom workout that had 17 different exercises to track. Couple of weeks of using the tracker & suddenly all my exercises disappeared except 4 of them, & there were 2 exercises that I didn’t even put on it. Tried to add exercises back. Nope. Emailed app people, updated app, reinstalled app, still won’t work. I turned off all notifications. Junk app, wasted time.

  6. Super effing awesome, once you get the hang of using it. I’m new and maybe this is something I haven’t discovered but if I exit the app, to check a message or see something with my music player, while a set is in play I have to start over when I come back, find that annoying

With new update they removed the calendar, and therefor the overview on your planned lessons. Makes it so much worse

  8. Tess dice:

No ads. A lot of good detailed training (from home and gym), really good motivater.

  9. Much worse since last update. For some reason planned workouts now show on a separate screen to other activities that I also want to schedule for that day. So now I have to switch screens part way through a workout. Often I just want to add a few extra exercises to a workout but now I can’t see those extras. Also I can no longer tap left or right to move between calendar days, for example to see what I have programmed today vs tomorrow. So frustrating to see a good app made less user-friendly.

  10. The app is almost perfect, but please give us the option to disable the rep counter. For some exercises it’s too fast and others is too slow. Everyone works out at a different pace and this feature is annoying at best and disruptive to workouts at worst. Would happily give 5 stars and buy Pro if this is fixed. UPDATE: 10 months later and still no option to disable the rep counter. Dropping to 2 stars.

  11. Awesome app for all your workout needs, simple and effective.

  12. I used to write my own workout plans and get back to them when I need to now after updating they are all disappeared

  13. My gym has just introduced this app for their users, and it has so much potential. Unfortunately, like so many other alleged fitness apps, it’s unhealthily and irresponsibly focused on the weight of the user (to the point you can’t even create an account without providing a weight). It would be so easy to make this field optional instead of mandatory… but right now, its reinforcing the message that the only reason to exercise is weight loss. No thanks – uninstalling.

  14. Sera Phie dice:

It’s annoying that so many workouts are locked behind the overpriced subscription and that tracking food requires a second app. Overall its closer to four stars but I have heavily deduct that they won’t let me sync my steps from Samsung Health. I have a smart band that’s incompatible with Google Fit, the only app Virtuagym syncs with, and I’m not about to buy a new one just so that a basic feature works correctly. If syncing is impossible at least let us manually type in our steps!!!

  15. I’m enjoying this App and so far so good. I just have some small critique, I noticed that when booking a service, it is not possible to add the client to the booking until after. Adding the client must happen separately, making it a 2 step process. I think it should be one step not two, To save time. Also, when viewing the schedule it only allows you to view per day. I think it should be included to view the entire month of bookings.

  16. Love it!! There is almost every exercise you can do with all the different equipment in the database. Very few things aren’t in there when I look them up. Love that you can link it to the calorie app and see how much you burned with how much you ate that day!! A ton of stuff to see and do in the free app.

  17. this app sucks, dont get it. Nothing in the app works as you would expect it to. Calories are only calculated when you enter in the weighs you use which is fine, but you have to do it every single time. If you plan a workout deleting them is a hassle and also has to be done 1 by 1. The app forces you to perform every workout at a specific rithim. It’s just not a good app.

  18. I can’t login. Tried several times and then my account got blocked. Then I unblocked my account (which made clear that I didn’t use a wrong password or email address after all) and then again wasn’t able to login. Keep getting the pop-up that I used a wrong email address or password (but I did not!). Very frustrating.

  19. I have used app back in 2015. It was great app with easily available work out options. For example home workout without material 25 mins, 35 mins and so on. Now i downloaded again but it was very difficult to creat or do workout and no option available to do homework out without equipment and mist work out are paid. Y u haven’t add simpl options for easy workout. Please add for more convenience

  20. it took several tries to get accustomed to it for my needs. all the exercises and equipment are there, putting them in some organized order was a challenge. looking forward to improve my body composition. thank you for your unique programs.

  21. I request the app managers to bring in back the feature where one could schedule activities for multiple days through the Schedule menu item. For the last couple months, every time I book a class, I’m taken to a calendar view and I need to come back to Schedule menu to book a class for next day. It’s quite annoying as I was easily able to book multiple classes spread across multiple days easily.

  22. The app is great, but has a lot of bugs (it won’t update, so the programs set by my coach don’t appear on my app unless i uninstall and reinstall it every time. It is to say, once a month).

  23. Robert E dice:

I had this app several months as it goes along with my gym membership. I use it to log my workouts, so I can track endurance . Connecting to a heart monitor via watch or armband is a plus, that the app only shows NEO type proprietary devices, which left me thinking that I have to move on to a different app to use a device marketed in my geopolitical region. Nevertheless, I went on to buy a Wahoo Heart Rate Armband, then downloaded the wahoo app; however, later I discovered that the Virtuagym app allows the Wahoo armband to sync with it.

  24. I have Seen better apps, the trainings ard very old fashion. I took the 2 weeks trial for pro version, before paying the connection with support was great. After cancelling the pro version just on time, iwas charged full price. Despite my efforts to get contact with the support to cancel this payment, its been two weeks that no one got back to me. Very disappointed.

  25. Adding food and excerices could be easier. Also it would be nice to have an overview of calories burnt and calories consumed (including in rest). I do like that you can scan a barcode for food!

  26. Live version is ok. Needs improvements naturaly, especially in simplifying it for people who are just starting to using it. edit. App clear a lot of bugs so I changed a number of stars (was 1), you can see they are working on it and it’s getting better

  27. I like the exercise database but I hate that’s the only thing i really like about it but still you mostly have to have the pro which is a neg. The set up for the days planned takes a little figuring out it could’ve been easier. I wouldn’t mind this app if it connected to my fitbit. I dont understand why not and why there isn’t a way I can input my data in. If I can take this app exercises database and put it with Jefit I think I would go with that app to log and planned workouts.

  28. This app really is the best. When I start to do some excersise I didn’t have any plane how I should started. After one week I saw many comment about it when I installed and checked it I got it maybe this is the one I looked for. I try to lose with this app and after a month I couldn’t imagine I lost my weight more than 15 kg. Thank you Virtuagym app team and I wish all the best for future.

  29. pro version only works half the time. Every other day it ask for me to enroll again to use their pro version. I pay it it still does not work. I email them and follow their instructions and it works for a day or two. They owe me a couple of months worth because like a fool I keep paying the 6.99 hoping it will work.

  30. My experience has been fantastic. Haven’t been using this app for long, but everthing has been very easy to fully understand. Also any questions or concerns have been answered, within a timely manner. I’m loving this new way of getting in shape.

  31. It’s a good app , both for online work outs but also for personal training schedule. Have been using it for 2 years now and no problems, so consistent performance.

  32. I like the ability to create exercises that fit me. I think an in-app tutorial would be a benefit so that you can get right into using it. Otherwise, it is something that easily fits into your life.

  33. It has great variety of exercises… Easy to use… Allows to select exercise based on muscle you want to train… Has lots of graphs to understand performance… This has always been an go to app for me whenever i need to loose weight… Love it…

  34. Virtuagym is a great product, hands down the best fitness and diet app. However, their customer service is atrocious! They do not respond to requests for service, they ignore email messages and telephone calls. I can’t recommend this product because their customer service is so bad!

  35. Working pretty well, only syncing is a problem a lot of the times. I couldn’t get the workouts created by the trainer since sync says last sync was three days ago and it is not updating.

  36. Best app for health freaks. It tracks almost all values. Can be paired with neo devices (smartband and others). Can be connected to Google Fit. In my opinion, it is a must have app.

  37. It links to the Food app, which is great. The exercises have an animated man showing you what and when to do. Would be good to count steps etc automatically.

  38. What an incredibly dumb app. I can’t even set the measurements right for biking. For example I biked 22.8 km in 40 minutes but it won’t allow me to change the speed or the calories. I deleted this stupid app.

  39. i purchased the pro package of 3 months , but the service hasn’t been activated on my account, now after following multiple times with the help center email for the last 3 days haven’t heard back anything on troubleshooting. Only think is a auto revert with no real support!

  40. Ty Shippy dice:

Fague description and details about the app and whats included within the account and the worst part of it all, theres no location to cancel the membership, I have written 3 emails already to them within 2 weeks and no response yet, Im contacting my credit card company to fill a dispute…I wish this company or app was structured differently or this review would be on the other side of the spectrum
