The app keeps freezing, and the ads are intrusive. There’s a small ad that keeps showing up over yours and your opponents name and score, also the back button, making it impossible to see or get out of. I’ve tried contacting them twice in-game about it with no reply. It’s an enjoyable game, but it needs work. Please at least move the tiny ad to the bottom, so I can see what score I’m at and trying to beat, etc. Thanks.
Sooo Many Popups 😩 I use to play this all the time. I just recently re-download and it’s sooo many popups everytime I try to get on to play a quick game or take my turn. It always wants to give me a tour or tell me about something new which is confusing because often I don’t have time to check out all the stuff. I just want to be able to opt out of the tours. It makes me not want to open it and I’m considering deleting it. It’s way too much. Overkill with the in-app ads. PLEASE fix!
I think the game is really fun but the app itself is way too complex. Tons of add ons that aren’t needed that slow down the phone and keeps making it freeze. Lots of pop ups. It’s unplayable because of the freezing multiple times per game, have to restart the app when that happens so I am deleting. I like to play against the computer and friends and choose/win custom dice but the whole rest of the game could go to make it run better. Will find a different app that works.
Annoying pop-up reminders, near constantly. Sometimes they even break, forcing the next button under a side advertisement or removing it entirely so you’re frozen without being able to play the game. The pop-up for the “play pass” even has an arrow that persists on the screen through the rest of the game if you manage to avoid getting stuck in that handholding “here, give us money” menu, that, btw, doesn’t even have a next button. Needs a way to turn off dice animations that lag like crazy. 👎
Love this game. It’s been great up until recently, because they added ads that aren’t optional. They come through every other game and many of them crash the game altogether forcing me to close and reopen it. I dont mind the optional ads for rewards, but the ads you can’t escape from went from a literal zero to 10. Annoying.
This would normally be a 5 but the ads are out of control recently. An ad will pop up every 1-2 turns now, which is making gameplay super slow and glitchy. I don’t mind watching an ad AFTER a game, but it’s unneccesary during actual gameplay. It takes 3x as long to play in addition to having to restart the game after an ad freezes the app. Please fix ASAP
I’ve been playing Dice With Buddies for 4 years. It’s addicting and the variety of game options makes it fun, but the amount of ads during just one dice game is ridiculous! A lot of the time it feels rigged because you’ll roll exactly what you need for the category you just X’ed out. You’re rarely going to win bonus rolls or any other prizes that make it more fun, usually you’ll win experience points. And if you have a slow phone? Just count on the fact it’s going to shut down a lot or freeze.
This game is very fun. However, as of late….the ads are constant. It used to be if you watched an ad, you got something in return, ie: extra rolls, scratches. I would give this game a higher rating but for those ads. Half of my time is spent on intrusive videos for stuff I don’t care about. Please fix!
This game is deceptive, as there are hardly any adds at all when you first start, then after you get invested they start bombarding you. An after EVERY OTHER roll? That’s crazy. The only way to get rid of them is with a subscription?? That’s greedy af. To top it off their game can’t even handle all the ads, it freezes and you have to close app, reopen, find whatever game it was that you were playing… Also – the animations are too slow!!
The number of 5 of a kinds seems unrealistic. And for God’s sake…MOVE THE ADDS OFF THE SCORE. This scoreboard issue is ridiculous. This is a clear attempt of getting people to pay to remove ads to be able to readily see the scoreboard. It also increases the ad clicks which also makes the company more money. Unbelievable that the BBB equivalent could allow this to go on so long.
I’ve been playing this game since 2017. Loved this game! But for the last several months not so much. WAY to many ads. I get that playing free there will be ads but now they’re on the top part of game covering the player and score. What’s up with that? Then there’s the matter of game freezing up all the time. Especially Family games. Unfortunately I’m on the verge of deleting the game. Please fix the bugs or me and several people I play with will drop this game and try yatzee.
have played for several years. it WAS my favorite game….. now I can’t stand it. I get extremely frustrated with suddenly forced to watch an ad. I can’t play 4 turns before I’m diverted away from my game. mid serious strategic plays to I win the tournament!!! I absolutely can not take the frustration and won’t allow such negativity in my life for a game. I only play one game online amongst all the choices, and this is it. I ve played over 25,000 games and now getting into the Family aspect of it. I have made some fantastic friendships along the way as well. My one complaint is on the gift grab, once you get to the gold packages, there shouldn’t be a 1 red bonus scratcher as a prize at that level, especially on level 40. Thats a ridiculous let down.
I love the game however after latest update now after every 3 moves i make i have to watch a 3 part ad. As in it pops up saying to skip the video so i do, then the little x gets hit and then the ad is still going and i have to hit the x again. And roughly half of the ads when closed just black out the screen. Trying to play in a tournament or something timed like the survior game is very effected by this. Im about an ad away from deleting this app It wasnt like that when i first started playing
Fun game, lots of side games, does contain ads but most are super short unless it’s for dice or a booster. My only complaints are it’s a bit glitchy, I sometimes have to reopen. Even with the sound turned off, in game, I still cannot play my music while playing the game. Everytime an ad comes on it stops my music app.
Old version was great. This new versions a major let down. It went from 5 stars to 2 stars. Bring back the classic version for people that still want to play that one. (Update)– This version of the game is soooo laggy. I’ve “adapted” to this version of the game (I still like the old version better). I really want to love this game and give it a higher rating but the lag and slow loading time can make it a deal breaker. 🙁
If you win 4 games you get to play unlimited times for 30 minutes. I literally played and won 8 times and it still says 0/4. I completely signed out of game and refreshed and still says 0/4. Since the last update there’s been a lot of errors. I’m not receiving rewards. I’ve gotten multiple sticker packs and they say “new” under the card and I’m not receiving any rewards. I’ve literally spent $100 in the last week to get extra dice and I’ve been having a lot of issues with my rewards. I literally
Update! Still loving this and challenge gets harder the further you go in some games! Love it! Would give 5 stars but the game does freeze sometimes. On the back of this, it does pick up in same place you left off when you restart it. Lot of choices for different games and prizes. Don’t have to spend any money if you don’t want too! I do watch ads for extra prizes. They get down to only 5 sec so that helps! I say you decide but I play this daily!
EDITED TO ADD: There are WAY TOO MANY ADS after your week of no ads is up. I’d easily pay for a no-ads option (not a subscription), but I don’t see that option. A very fun game ruined by ads. ORIGINAL: I enjoy this game a lot. I like that there are many smaller games and challenges within. I especially like the bowling game. My issues are that its incredibly hard to get extra dice without paying. They are hardly ever a prize for winning, as they should be. (I deleted a fixed issue)
I enjoy the game, sub-games, and features but it is impossible to get dice unless you pay a big amount. Also, ads start right in the middle of games, sometimes two or three times in one game. I know ads are needed but not in the middle of a game. Also, ads glitch and freeze the game and I have to close out and reopen it. I really want to love this game but it is so frustrating!
This has been one of my favorite games the past 8 years. But lately it has been constantly freezing. I have open and close the game a couple times to even just enter the app. After I report issues, they come back and blame my (brand new) phone that has the app updated. I could be happily playing a tournament game and it freezes mid entry. When I reload the game, the tournament is over and I lost my entry. It’s time to update from a 2020 version to a newer 2022/2023 version.
It would be kind of cool if I could change my profile picture on the game but every time I try to do that it disconnects me and I have to restart the game all over again or it will say this app doesn’t support this. Also, I just started playing prize Climb and after the ad that just played the screen went black and I probably lost everything I just won.🤨😢😠
First of I love the game itself and all the mini games, with that said …Ads ads ads! After every game an ad. How am I supposed to look forward to playing and getting in the mood to play when I get an ad after every game. I understand that I can buy and not have ads but I don’t mind a resenonal amount of ads. This needs to be looked into. It also messes up the game and stalls it or freezes because of the ads.
Use to be fun but crashes all the time and does not give earned rewards. Customer support is absolutely worthless. Update: I have entered multiple tickets and the automated Customer Support is pure garbage. Still no resolution to the problem. Worst customer support I have ever experienced. Game is a crash-o-matic. Developers: Spend more time on game stability and less on “cute animations”.
Game freezes up daily – especially during casino ads. Then after you close the app down and try to get back into the round of dice you were playing, the game itself has frozen and won’t let you continue playing. This is incredibly frustrating because it seems to happen every time I use a “free ticket” to play the Tournament. Convenient how once I’m finally winning it freezes then I lose. This is exactly why I won’t spend $$ on this game. If it froze up on something I paid for, I would be irate.
Too many glitches & even more after updates! Doesn’t make sense. Freezing, having to close out & restart, uninstall & reinstall game, lost rewards, waste of played dice due to freezing issues, submitting tickets through help/ support does nothing because they don’t respond or when they finally do, days later, if you don’t respond to them right away, they close your ticket! And then you have to go through process again. Or, they respond by giving reference/ ticket # but then never follow up!
Way too many ads. It was bearable previously but now it’s ever few rolls and it makes the game boarderline unplayable. $7.99 a month for no ads is far too much. It’s a shame because it’s a good game otherwise. Frankly you’d probably make more money by using ads more sparingly and retaining players, instead your just driving people off.
Too many ads, can’t get dice without paying, game glitches, and sometimes not getting the rewards. Besides it being a blatant copy of Yahtzee with buddies I enjoyed this game but I’ve had it happen too many times where I won’t receive rewards or the game simply won’t count part of my in game points. There’s ads every other turn which is very annoying and doesn’t make it worth playing. 🙄
Game is designed to make you buy spins. Spins themselves are predetermined, not random. Scopely goes out of its way to screw the players here. A person can forfeit their game against you and you won’t get the prize but you can’t forfeit games against the computer (they want their ad revenue). Speaking of the ads are out of control now. You get full 30 second ads after 3 turns (each turn takes about 5 seconds). Leave it to Scopely to turn a once fun game into revenue raising hell.
Even though I love playing yahtzee there’s so much to complain about. Kingdom keeps subtracting points instead of adding points when hit. Some reason there’s no ad button for the stickers. Dice world has issues. They seriously need to rethink their rewards. The scratchers rarely have bonus rolls. The blue scratchers are suppose to be a special ones where use to I’d get a good amount of dice. Now your lucky to get more Than one dice. I wish they’d bring In New exciting rewards. Addicting!
It’s fun, but there’s so many unnecessary additions. The extra rolls may be useful for the other minigames, but when playing against another player, it feels like cheating. It also just throws a bunch of these rewards at me that I don’t care about when all I want to do is play the game. Just let me play Yahtzee! That’s the whole point of the game! Also, $7.99 a month to disable ads??? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. No thanks.
I used to love playing this game, but now after every move, there is an ad and then the app crashes. I have to let the ad finish, reopen the app and hopefully find the game I was in the middle of and playing. . But that is not the case. I lose my progress and it ends up me on the losing end. Sorry, but I must uninstall unless you guys can make this fun again instead of annoying.
I really like the game. I think it’s well design and fun to play. However, the ads are game breaking. I understand the need for ads but they are freezing the app so you have to close and reopen it and they are frequently popping up in the middle of your turn. Even if there is a ad free version, I’m less inclined to keep the app if it’s so unplayable for free.
Was having a lot of fun until tonight. So I have been playing this maybe a couple weeks, and have been having a lot of fun with it and earning points in a different game while playing. Tonight I reached lvl 16 and it went from a ad every now and again to an ad every 2 times I started a new roll of dice. Dont know if this is a new glitch, or something that starts at a sudden point but it became very annoying very fast.
Great game if you could play a round without an add interrupting every 3 or 4 rolls! Save the adds for between rounds. Another pet peave is waiting to play again after a loss. Why on earth would you impede someone from playing your game for hours? Maybe the adds you are forced to watch in the midst of the game should have some value towards being able to continue after a loss. Been playing this for years and sadly had to uninstall because it’s more annoying than fun anymore.
Played this app for several years and took a break. Started playing again on a new phone and it worked okay until today. The app won’t load at all. Opens to the initial loading screen and freezes. Uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. If it worked as well as it once did, or worked at all,I would rate it a 4 or 5 star app. Can’t find a fix to get it to open, so a little disappointed. If anyone has had this problem and knows of a fix, please let me know.
I really would like this game a lot but there is to many glitches, fezzes up alit, and it’s always kicking you off line!! I’m getting really really frustrated with the game!! It would be a really awesome game if you could get a full game in, but you can’t get 1 game in without it doing one of the problems that I mentioned!!
This was my favorite app and game to play. It isn’t fun anymore, it crashes all the time, there’s too much going on all the time, most of the goals are unachievable..like the sticker collections..come on. Dice world isn’t worth the time it takes to complete it. Victory rush is almost unachievable. There’s no need for wallpapers, celebrations, things like that. Survivor doesn’t work. I’ve been robbed several times in the first round because by time the round starts you only have 10 seconds left.
When I play a “showdown” I have to reload the whole game because there’s no way to get back to the home screen, it’s inconvenient. The game is kinda standard when it comes to graphics. Game play is what you would expect for a mobile game no more no less. The scratch-off tickets are kinda cool, but on the other hand why would you put up someone that is a level 7 against someone that is a level 72…come on. All considered it’s an okay game, not addicted but not uninstalled either.
One of the worst update to date. In a bid to make it more visually appealing, they’ve made it one of the slowest loading, lagging games on the store. When you click on the dice, it can take a while to actually “roll” and I’ve accidentally hit it again thinking it didn’t register my click. Only to have it do two rolls in succession. People need to realize to leave a good thing alone when it’s working fine!!!
Last week I would’ve given this game 5 stars. It was fun & enjoyable. But now I’m almost at level 20, & the ads are making it almost unbearable to play. Whenever you’re playing against the game, almost every other turn is interrupted by a non-skippable ad. Certainly isn’t fun to be forced to sit through 5 min of ads for 3 min of play constantly Also, starting to feel like the game cheats & purposely won’t let you score. The higher my level, the more 0s I’m forced to take. Not fun anymore.
I just downloaded the game last week. You earn dice during play. If you try to save themBy not using them all of a sudden they just disappear from your account it’s happened twice this week I just lost 11 it took me like 3 days to save up the 11 so I’m getting rid of the game right now. Someone will send you a challenge and if you hit the decline button that just takes all the dice. Boo hoo There are too many games out there to play to have a problem with one like this.
The game took me back a few levels. I only downloaded this game because I wanted to get more diamonds in my covet game. I had to reach level 32 in order to get like 11,000 diamonds or something. I get to level 31 and couldn’t play any more for the day but when I came back I was on level 25 again and I swear this has happened more than once now. Too many ads to deal with also. Oh and now the levels are almost impossible to beat.
Long time player, years worth. As time goes on, this app gets harder to play. It’s almost unplayable. Extremely slow, locks up, lags horribly. This isn’t a phone issue as I keep an updated and new phone. Have deleted the app and reinstalled, no help whatsoever. It’s looking like the only option is going to be to move on to a different game. Reading thru the other reviews, this isn’t a new issue. I feel like all the add on games that are forced into the core dice game is the culprit.
The game itself is great. I have a few problems though. First it has too many ads. They pop up randomly in the middle of play and its rather irritating. Second, I keep getting connection errors. This happens on both data and wifi. This is the only ap I have that does this. I believe this is what causes my third issue. There is a LOT of lag. The game crashes all the time. Other than these issues I love the game
Love the game. Absolutely 💯addicting. But major technical issues. Screen freezes constantly. It also “Lags” I guess you would call it. I click to roll dice and several seconds later they might roll might not. There are lots of tournaments but to win you have to use lots and lots of bonus rolls but you can do that if you can afford to buy them. Which I can’t. I would recommend you try it. It’s a lot of fun if you can stand the issues.
Have been playing on this app for many years. Now there is ALWAYS a technical issue…lags, stops completely, sometimes doesn’t give the big rewards such as sticker packs. Very disappointing. Wow…I guess I am going to quit this app. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Can’t take all of the issues anymore. Plus, the ‘robot’ responses to your issue are comical. Seriously, just say nothing.
I love the game itself, but the app has become almost impossible to use. It freezes or crashes constantly. I have to force stop the app several times a day. It’s also extremely slow. I have no problem watching the ads to get free extra dice and stuff like that, or even the occasional ad during a game, but then it all freezes and you have to force stop the app to get back in and start playing again. I keep trying, hoping they’ve made some fixes or pushed an update, but that hasn’t been the case.
Update: How do you overhaul a game, and make it suck MORE?! For God’s sake, PLEASE stop changing the app. 1) I constantly show a card I’ve already scratched. 2) The Stars game never works properly. I beg you to fix the “little things” first. I’m visually impaired, but I love this game. I tolerate the obscene number of ads because I’m disabled and appreciate being able to play for free – but you’ve been changing it so much, it’s becoming less fun and more of a “find the button” challenge.
I love this game. I spend too much time on it bc it’s so much fun! Really enjoy all the options. I have a few things that may improve the app because it freezes in the most unfortunate times for me. ‘fun fair’ shouldn’t have a curtain. It freezes too often & you should be able to spin with your multiple coins b4 the pay option. ‘Survivor’ freezes way too often. I’d cut back on the looks of the game vs us not getting kicked out bc the app crashes during the game. Adventure coins are too much.
The game has quite some bugs that are not getting fixed. The developers are focusing on making money, trying to get you to buy stuff. As for bugs, there is multipliers that don’t move out skip positions when they move. There is the bonus (+35) animation that constantly stays transparent over the play card, and other stuff. Mostly you can get rid of the UI wipes by restarting the game but it’s a pain. Also you can’t skip the annoying animations to speed up your game. Fix those things!
Last few days, some “ads” do NOT end. There is no “x” in a corner to tap when the ad is finished so that one can return to the game. This continues to happen long after 30 seconds. In fact, I’ve waited more than a minute. I’m forced to close the program externally and reload and start again until another endless ad pops up. When one taps in the corners where the “x” should be, it takes you to the Play Store related to the ad. Very frustrating!
