A barrage of ads, bad picture quality (no HD streams) and technical issues make this a deal breaker for me. They have quite a few good movies, but quite a bit of filler in the way of cheesy, poorly researched documentaries. My latest experience has been with the voices not syncing, which is very annoying. Yes, it is free, but you need to be willing to tolerate the downsides as well. I’ve used this service off and on for a couple of years, and think that the technical quality is getting worse
To my surprise I find that Tubi has a large selection of movies and they cover the World Cup also. Well actually what surprised me was how the ads don’t bother me much. When it does go to ads it’s takes right around a minute. Well short of what we have to put up with on cable television these days. I wish they had ever movie I want to view but that would be impossible but they keep adding new ones and I haven’t been able to run out of ones that they do have that I want to watch.
The highly annoying continuous Auto Play needs a disable option! Can’t watch credits without getting shove another title. But most annoying is that it only shows only a week left for titles. A list of movies Leaving Soon would be a great addition. Also an option for high resolution for unlimited data. And a watch history list for your profile would be nice. Player buffers well and play smoothly most of the time. Ads can be very repetitive to the point of exhaustion.
Originally i was happy that i came across this app. I found many things to watch, good variety. BUT…. I have become fed up with how often my show/movie freezes up and buffers. Sometimes it buffers every 30 seconds, sometimes every two minutes. I made sure all my apps are up to date so that I know the problem is not on my end. I hate to Uninstall app, but it’s more stressful to watch than to watch paint dry. Sad face
My favorite place to stream movies and shows. I would have signed up for multiple different premium streaming services by now if it weren’t for the great selection of movies and shows as well as lack of excessive ads. This is absolutely worth the price of free and I would recommend anyone check it out before subscribing to a premium streaming service.
There are so many streaming Apps and services I wasn’t even going to bother with reviewing any. Tubi is pretty cool, they need to keep working on the UI. The controls seem a bit clunky. The live TV part of the app is pretty cool, they have better News programs and channels than some of the others.
Family fare delightfully innocent … Horror flix quite graffic !! Tubi offers all levels for everyone’s entertainment. Such a wonderful app. Thoroughly enjoyable. My favorite thing is that I don’t have to click on “Exit” to get rid of pesky ads. After one or two of them it simply goes back to the movie. That feature allows me to continue what I’m doing without interruption.
I was genuinely surprised at the selection of free movies available on this app. There were several movies I’ve wanted to rewatch for a long time that I was never able to find on other streaming services, even paid ones, that I found on here for free. There are ads, but they are minimal, and a small sacrifice for being able to watch for free. Tubi is a great app.
I love this app! There are movies on here that I hadn’t watched in years or that I just choose to rewatch. The only issue that I have is let say you want to put a movie in your watchlist or read what the movie is about. When you click on the movie it automatically starts and then goes into your watch history even if you didn’t watch the movie. That’s so annoying. Before it was never like that, you could click on the movie and it would start once you pressed play. I hope Tubi goes back to that.
Massive selection! I happen to love older, more obscure B movies. There’s a virtual treasure trove of these, along with plenty of newer movies. Before the last update, it was perfection. I despise how you can’t look at a title’s description without the show starting. I have to mute my phone, & it makes the page jump around while I’m reading the description. There should at least be an option to turn this feature off. Otherwise, best app in existence. Player is amazing & rarely ever buffers. 🏆🌟
I absolutely love this app. Has an amazing range of movies in all different genres and has both new movies and older classics. My only complaint is that whenever I click on a movie for more details, it automatically puts it in my Watch History, even though I didnt actually play it. It really clutters up my Watch History and it takes a while to individually delete each movie.
This is by far the best free streaming app:) Sometimes, the commercial sets are blank; but theyre still the same length as if they were playing. And they’re never longer than 2 minutes. It sure beats the ridiculous runtime of commercial breaks through regular cable, for sure! Great selection of shows, movies, documentaries, etc. News networks too, bonus! I HIGHLY recommend this app:)
I have been watching Tubi for at least a couple of years. I have not had a problem using the app. My experience has been seamless viewing. There is alot of variety in programs and best of all free streaming. The only “price” is you have to watch some commercials during your movie or program which is no problem for me. Wish all apps were this useful!
Although I only gave it 3 stars, I like that the movies and shows are easy to play, and I also like that the app has a watchlist feature that some of the others don’t. I would love to be able to suggest additional movies or shows for other watchers to enjoy. My problem with the site is the ads. There are to many and they run too long.
Lots of content and the ads aren’t intrusive or overdone like on some apps that still want you to pay. The reason I knocked off a star is when an episode ends and it supposedly goes to another ad, instead of an ad, it freezes. I don’t know if it’s a chromecast compatibility issue or the app itself. I have to disconnect from Chromecast and close the app then start over to watch the next episode.
Love this app, Tubi is by far one of the best out for streaming movies. if i could make a suggestion, i have tubi for samsung, and i currently use it on my ZFold4. It has a huge display, but i can not use all of it. If you would allow us to choose the size we would like to watch it in, that would be awesome. Even if i cut a little bit of the video out, i would much rather use the whole screen than just a little bit of it. Being that the app was made for samsung, you would think it would be able.
I’ve enjoyed a lot of movies and tv series with ads and others with only the upfront ads. Sometimes it is glitchy having a really hard time to start or sometimes crashing during a session. Inspite of those frustrations I still give Tubi a high rating as a free app. I’m 73 on a short dollar; the glitches might have as much to do with my chrombook or signal strength variations as with the app. I’m not tech savy enough to know. THX for the free entertainment!
If you pause a show, it restarts by itself. It may start playing when you are on a phone call. It doesn’t let you know it is playing, and you lose your place in the movie/show or go beyond that show to others and play them without your knowledge. Data usage can skyrocket without your knowledge. Other apps slow because of it’s data demand when you think it is paused. You must remember to shut it down, not pause.
I’ve contacted Tubi. I’ve tried to get the matter resolved. They’re either unwilling or unable. 6 and 8 ads each break? 5 to 10 mins of ads?? Every 7 mins??? They wrote me back saying it was 2-3 mins of ads every 15 mins. That may be the standard but that’s not what’s happening. In 2 instances so far the same ad played 4 times or more in a row! I don’t need your argument. I need you to fix the dang problem!
First off It’s better than a few of the other top apps out there right now. Its nice that its free but 80 % of the movies on here are B title films or are just really horrible cheap movies you dont wanna watch from the 90s and 80s. Also there’s a glitch. After any movie plays for about 20 minutes the fast forward and rewind skip buttons don’t work so you have to exit the movie and play again but it saves your spot. Only then the forward and reverse works again.
I really like this app. It’s easy to find movies to watch. They are grate movies both new and old. There is a good selection of TV channels and live channels, too. I like the way I can browse the movies and save them in your library to watch at a more convient time. I’m not the best at technology but Tubi is the best to me so far. The movie do have ads but the ads are short and very few show up interupting the movies. Tubi is a great app and I recommend it.
I LOVE this app!!!! Has all of my favorite movies and even though it shows ads/commercials it’s still worth it!! So download it and try it out! You’ll still want to watch Netflix or the movie apps that are free but if your like me, sometimes you won’t find a movie your searching for and 7-8 times out of 10 you’ll find it in Tubi! Plus I have never had a problem with this app! I watch it on the playstation if not my mobile and it still works perfectly
Being someone who already has other streaming services that are quite pricy I decided to go for the free version of this app, but for not being as mainstream as things like Netflix, the movie choices are very good and the ads are some of the least intrusive and least annoying of any other service I have ever used. Five stars, would definitely recommend.
I figured out why I don’t visit to be that often. Both commercials are horrendous four or five commercials at a time. That’s why I mostly watch freevee how much better application for watching movies and other programs. I give this two stars because of the way the commercials are way too long and way too often. I will come back to tubi occasionally but that’s about it.
The selection is great and the play back of the shows is very smooth however the app gets stuck when playing ads (after watching 1 or 2 ads) and the only way to get past it is to close the streaming and restart playing which starts the ads timer all over again. Seems like a cheap scam to get you to watch more ads and makes for an annoying process to have to stop and restart several times.
Commercials cause frequent freezing and require restarts through movie .This “needs to be fixed” , as it’s verry annoying to wait through additional commercial times when the app. freezes to get back to the movie… Tubi App. continually runs movies non stop from one to the next . The App. needs a stop point after each movie so it doesn’t continually run up data , and busy the service unnecessarily .
Been using this off and on for about a year now, just been busy with work and all, hardly any free time to watch, but it certainly seems like the frequently and length of ads have increased in past few months, at the worst times during a movie. Kinda annoying but its whatever I still very much enjoy it all the same.
Tubing has movies that I had never heard of but on occasion enjoy watching. Although it has commercials, it is nothing like TV. These movies are the same like they are on video and not edited down. Plus it’s free with a great selection of movies, sports, news and TV shows!
Personally I love Tubi. It’s hard to believe that it is actually free. There is a lot to be found. It becomes intuitive and responsive to each individuals personal taste, just like Amazon Prime Video & Netflix. It has worked seemlessly since I’ve had it. You can save to your watchlist, which is always handy. I definitely recommend it!
I love Tubi ! It had two of the movies that I wanted to watch for years (2001 : A space odyssey and It (the new, recent version)) and now I finally have (a day and a half before they went away 😁) ! And Netflix and some other apps didn’t have these movies. Plus now Tubi has live TV and news ! And it’s all free ! You just have to watch the occasional commercial or two. Yeah, I’m very happy with this app and I highly recommend it to everyone !
I wanted to watch a tv series. It’s been five minutes and the video is still loading. I’ve experienced this with the app on both my phone and tablet and on the website. I tried six different streaming apps I have (Netflix, Hulu, Boomerang, Prime Video, Pluto TV and Disney+), all started playing within seconds. So the problem is obviously the app which is a shame since I actually like Tubi. Figured out the problem: my VPN. So I added the app to a whitelist and the video started playing.
I like the fact that I can watch movies without creating an account. This is a really great app. And I like the movies that are uploaded on here. Although you get two ads in the beginning. By the next commercial, you got four ads. Then the following commercial you get six ads sometimes.😂 I don’t mind the ads, Because I can get up and take a break when the ads are up. Thanks 👍 for creating this app.
I was skeptical at first, but it really is free and there’s TONS of great movies. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a reason why they can do it at no cost… the content isn’t gonna be this year’s blockbusters. However I always find something that I love, and am often reminded of favorites I’ve completely forgotten. Between some of the classic content (Sister Act) and the commercials (I honestly feel like they have significantly less than Hulu) I get pretty nostalgic.
Others have said what im about to repeat. I enjoy watching my favorite shows and movies however lots of ads / commercial breaks which is fine, in fact its pretty similar to watching regular TV. The biggest issue is signing in and out for a day or two with no issue and then not being able to sign in at all and also receiving the DMR error 2001 code in the middle of viewing content not to mention buffering during a show, movie or a ad / commercial break all while being connected to Wi-Fi.
I was very surprised by the variety, and the lack of ads. However, I can’t be bothered to watch anything because when I try it skips like a horrible scratched up DVD. If I had a DVD that skipped this bad, id break it out of anger and throw it away, I’m sad there is no relief I can have by breaking it enless I break my whole phone, and that just won’t do. I hope the problem is fixed because I would love to use the app and give it a good review.
This app streams and loads amazingly well. We have to have a cell booster so I am always hesitant about new apps, especially ones that cost money. With the booster max service is 2 bars of 4g. With this one being free I thought I would try it. There are some good movies and shows, some I wouldn’t watch but there is a ton of selection for sure. Finally got to watch a movie that refused to stream in other apps. Very happy with Tubi. The commercials are not overbearing. First app I’ve given 5 stars
There are very few commercials with the programs in this app, wide variety with movies TVs all kinds of stuff. My only problem with Tubi app is that if I’m watching a show on there and get an alert for a text notification I cannot pause the show use my drop-down menu and use my microphone to reply to my text. Even if I touch the x to stop the app and go to the home screen I still cannot use the microphone because the movie I am watching will automatically start playing while I am trying to text.
Had Tubi app for two years with no problems. Then for the past few weeks it started to mess up. Everytime I try to see a movie I get a message to restart the app. Reinstalled and cleared the cache and it still gave the same message. I already have several installed apps, and Tubi is the only one that continues with this message. Don’t know what’s going on, but it seems it’s time to say adios. Will uninstall. 😟🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
Simply a great App. Has tons of great movies and TV series. You trade about 90 seconds every 20 minutes for commercials, but you dont pay any monthly costs. It is free. There are no in App purchases either. Feq commercials than cable back in the day. Tubi evens lets you know when movies in your list are leaving in a week. Movies cycle thru as different companies buy rights for a time. Havent paid for netflix for over 2 years. Thats $480 i didnt spend. I think ill add 20$/ mo to my savings!
Tubi is a breath of fresh air. It’s a great diverse selection of movies of all genres, from action to comedy. I have been able to find something new or old classic movie. the app is easy to navigate and the app screen layout is simple but packed with useful features and navigation ques…thanks VERIZON TUBI
