  1. UPDATE: I have tried the new interface as suggested. My decision to rate 1 star remains the same. There is no point in using the app for technical analysis anymore as the new update (9/2022) forces you to have to click multiple times to get what you want. The old chart UI provided the best experience as it provided a one click option to every tool, similar to the desktop version. There is no way to refute this. Everyone who didn’t get to see the old version is being mislead.

  2. Notification’s sent right on time, looks very nice, orders are easy to see, navigation I a little bit tough on mobile but still manageable.(When I say that the navigation is tough on mobile, it’s just a personal preference, the app is a little to compressed for me, especially when you have a lot on the screen because I like to write and hold)

I still stand by my original review that stupid updates constantly keep messing everything up. Just when you get used to your layout and settings, wham…another stupid update and then everything is different. Then you have to start figuring out where everything is all over again and learning how to adjust your charts. It also takes forever for a chart to open once you click on it. Sooooo painfully slow.

  4. Pretty good app that lets you edit charts, catalogue, subdivide symbols on phone and sync to PC with ease. Extremely beginner friendly. Acceptable UI. Dark Theme. Easy to use tools. Many customization options. Can at times take longer to load the charts. This seems to be recent with the implementation of the less detailed charts before the ”full charts.” I don’t see the use of the less detailed chart before the full chart.

Tradingview is great; **on PC**. Mobile App used to be superb, but a recent update made it complete rubbish. Prior UI was far superior. Edit 1: Thx, for the reply. For example, selecting different tickers quickly from a watchlist is not as seamless & user friendly as it once was; & now it’s clumsy. Hope it improves. Thanks, again.

  6. I can honestly say that this app is really helpful and gives alot of free trading signals and indicators. If you want more than a few indicators turned on though you’ll have to start paying for it which is 15 a month. Free access still gives you alot and is worth using. If u pay though you’ll get to use and apply technical indicators and copy professional analytics. Very clean UI and easy to navigate. Supports dark mode as well. Also very accurate and not lagging at all with the market pulse.

  7. The drawing tool got worse. Now after I’m done making a drawing, I can’t turn it off from the favorites bar, I keep forgetting that, and it’s harder to confirm the drawing sometimes without either clearing it before it confirms, or it keeps starting a new one when I’m just trying to confirm the drawing for it to stop moving around when trying place my second point for a line.

  8. Mobile app ruined with new layout. The new layout requires multiple steps to accomplish simple and frequently accessed functionality that used to be accomplished with a single tap. What a bummer. Edit: to their canned response, no, I tried the new interface and it does not get better. Fortunately I was able to recover an old version of the app from a backup. If they block this version, I may need to find a new charting platform.

  9. Aaron dice:

TV used to be a simple and sleek app but recently they have mixed too many new ui components with old and made the most used functions hard to get to ( opening a list ticker to full view, displaying percentage vs price, setting time intervals etc.). Now on top of that they are displaying ads right in the middle of everything. The only thing they have going for them now is they have no competition. I’m sure this will change soon and I am looking for an alternative.

  10. So much potential. But this has MAJOR trust issues: seriously buggy and crashes during major market moves when you need it the most. You will check your screen and watch “real time” data with seconds moving only to have it refresh and show you something completely different. If it’s refreshing, it should not be showing you seconds as if seeing real data, but indicate it’s refreshing; super sketchy. Delays in alerts even with app open for minutes at a time. Customer service is trash and dodgey.

  11. Why was the time frame option moved directly next to the ticker selection?? I don’t know how many times I’ve accidentally pressed one or the other. Please consider making the space between these buttons larger. Also, maybe I’m missing something but I don’t see how to quickly lock and unlock rsi in mobile. That option would be nice. Amazing desktop app and the mobile has come a long way but it still needs more ease of use upgrades imo.

  12. The UI for the app looks great, but compared to a desktop with a browser the experience is very limited. Only 4 stars because it’s better than what currently exists for android. And that bar is not that high to set… My criticisms: 1) Alerts through the app are inconsistent and have not trigger properly. I missed some potential trades because of this. [ Tested same exact alerts through the desktop with browser and they worked flawlessly.] All on the same wifi network. 2) Cannot for the life of me, figure out how to edit my current alerts from the app. 3) You cannot hold your finger on something on a chart to edit it. I have tried it yet, but I’m hoping that you can do it through a menu option. The Good: Its tradingview. It’s very very good for TA, and trading in general. The options you get for the cost are amazing. Please fix alerts and allow us to hold a finger press on something to bring up the menu to edit them. [Mimic right click on desktop] If you do this, I will improve the rating to 5 stars.

  13. The mobile app needs some optimization to account for reduced screen size. The app and service itself is excellent. Well worth the money. The tablet app, of course, is easier to use because of the increased screen real estate. Could use a tutorial for features, gestures, and how to navigate the app. For example, I have no idea how to find my alerts in this thing.

  14. About time we get an app! But, this should really be a beta or alpha release as it is completely unusable for me. Too many problems to list. Try using the website on your mobile browser and the experience is similar to this app… The right price scale takes up half the screen and I cannot find a way into the settings menu to reduce the decemal precision so, right out the gate, I cannot use on my phone. I suspect it would work better on tablet

  15. This app is very meticulous when it comes to displaying different types of information of trading. I love the amount of charts you can compare against. There is a bug on the app where if I try to press the home button the app just pops back up and refreshes. I can’t continue unless I clear the app from my RAM. If this bug could be fixed, that’d be great.

  16. The functionality that the app has is great and works well. It is inherently difficult to display things like complex charts with multiple indicators on mobile, so I don’t think there is much the devs can do about that. However, the app is also missing a lot of features that the desktop version has. The ones I am missing most are paper trading and the stock screener. It would be nice to have all or almost all of the features replicated on mobile.

  17. This app sucks, and unfortunately it’s still the best option for customized charts, what a shame. *My Response to TradingView* In short, it looks like the PC interface was copied and pasted into the app. First impression, good! Until you start using it and stuff doesn’t work like it does on a PC. For example, on a PC when you zoom in on a chart, no problem, hit refresh, and it’s back to normal. On the app everything looks the same, but you can’t refresh the chart. No space, but stuff like that.

  18. j man dice:

I used to love this app, but since the upgrade, it doesn’t load all the way and when I chart, the screen goes blank for a couple of seconds, but then it keeps happening, mind you I use the backtesting, and I can’t even backtest correctly because the screen goes blank. That’s 12 or 15 dollars down the drain. All they told me was to make sure that it’s updated. Come to find out that more people are having the exact same problem. Thanks a lot tradingview.

  19. Fantastic App! The charting functionality is truly top notch. One feature I’d like to see in the app that’s available in the browser is the ability to move/copy symbols between watchlists. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the app doesn’t always reflect changes I’ve made in the browser earlier in the day. I’ve had that happen a few times now. But overall, this is the best charting app by far!

  20. Shay R dice:

Love TradingView, but I’ve been running into a couple of issues lately. I used to be able to mark up a chart on mobile & it would update on desktop and vice versa. Lately, my desktop will pick up on changes made on mobile, but my phone will not update after I’ve made changes on the desktop. My mobile app also doesn’t seem to pick up its own changes sometimes. I’ll make a change for it to be undone later in the day. Sometimes it freezes It’s like autosave isn’t working correctly or something.

  21. Ricardo W dice:

I have only used the mobile version for a short time thus far, but the web version is the best charting software that I’ve used, with so many tools to use on the data and so many viewing options, and thus far, the mobile version keeps up that tradition. Excellent app! (Update: It’s over 2 years later and I’m still using and enjoying TradingView!)

  22. I use it almost every day. Easy to use, clear and unambiguous charting. Built-in indicators, community designed and scripting interface for creating your own. Configurable alerts keep you on top of your profit strategies. Real time data from all markets available. Top performance requires fairly up to date hardware. As with everything, you can’t expect top performance from a fossil.

  23. Sean S dice:

Best charting platform available! It can be difficult to create drawings using a phone, but that is just due to a smaller screen and large fingers. I imagine this would work really well on a tablet and/or with a stylus. I think the app is well done, I have no issues, and it syncs seamlessly with TradingView accounts via cloud. Great interface too, nearly all the same features available on the desktop browser version. Highly recommend!

  24. BLVCKACER dice:

I am aspiring forex trader currently demo trading and this app has been very very useful for me,from the UI to the functionality and available tools, everything is just so well put together,I am able to analyze charts on a mobile phone with virtually the same precision as I would on a laptop, now THAT is impressive . Big props to the developers,as someone else reviewed,a lot of work was put into it and that shows a lot in the app.

  25. Its great, keeps all the facets from the website, stable, responsive. my biggest gripe is that switching from landscape to portrait is cumbersome at best Edit: sure thing TV inc, my issue is that it’s reliant on auto rotate with no way to lock it into landscape or portrait mode. I would prefer a button to force it one way or the other side Also it’s not entirely clear how pinching will collapse sub graphs onto each other, sometimes it’s great and useful but its not easy to back or purposeful

  26. Anyone who wants to use the old UI open up the web version and add it too your home screen. It’s a shame trading view sacrificed utility for aesthetic. There’s so many things missing on the new user interface like the favorites template that you could switch to on the fly. It’s mostly just one button clicks to get to where you need to go. This was Paramount for mobile users who trade on the go and time is of the essence.

  27. L A dice:

The updated version does not seem user-friendly anymore. You have to deselect the tool each and every time you use. You have to “lock” each time you draw Fibonacci or Gan fans or the like. You have to go through a two-step process of changing the settings on a tool. You have to select the cross-hairs or the pointer icon each and everytime after you use a tool. Cross hairs when you hold to see where current price is does not work – just to name a few.

  28. It is all around a great app. Super easy to use and full of free tools. My only complaint is that since some of the more recent updates the RSI indicator doesn’t display properly and will not allow you to zoom in. I have tried updating the web view on my device but it didn’t fix it. If tradingview has any advice I would love to get it working right.

  29. Vaibhav dice:

IF IT AIN’T BROKEN, DON’T FIX IT. Great app ruined by current update. There was absolutely no reason to change the UI. Before the update, a simple task like changing the timeframe took just a click, now I have to open that extra window, look at things I have nothing to do with and change it from there. All features are made in that fashion now, pathetic! Wasting my time finding things that took no time before. Please bring back the old format. Edit : The latest version gets stuck 7/10 times.

  30. My chart on my Tecno Spark 8C is lagging, when newly installed it runs well but after shutting and starting the app, the chart becomes laggy. N.B on PC it’s perfectly fine. I have reinstalled it even went to the extent of installing the oldest version available, it’s still the same. N.B This started recently and hasn’t been resolved. And also when I run the web version on my phone it’s works perfectly fine.

  31. Changing from 5 to 4 stars. Subscribed to this for years but won’t renew. For over 2-3 years, the same bug still exists: changing networks, such as wifi to mobile or back, prevents charts from updating. Only fix is killing the app and restarting it. So tired of this step. No, it’s not WebView. It’s you, trading view.

  32. Used to be an exceptional product. They’re making it worse by making you look things you don’t want to. For example, it used to open straight to your charts and indicators. Now it opens to some dodgy line graph, with no indicators and a time scale of their choosing. Ads. Are ramping up. You used to get one in the bottom left. Now they’re popping up continuously and in different places which have to be clicked away to see your graphs. Good, but getting worse.

  33. I had to lower the rating due to the new interface. It should have an option to keep the old format for who wants it. More clicks to do the analysis now. Update: it’s been 8 months since then and I still didn’t get use with it so I guess you were wrong 🙂 Anyway….I cancelled my subscription and using tradingview only for quick view on list. Charting I’m doing with a different competitor.

  34. D T dice:

Love the app! I use it daily. One improvement I’ve been hanging out for is to be able to colour code your instruments in your watchlist and then view the instruments listed by the allocated colours. The same as you can do on the full website. At the moment I have to switch between the chrome browser and the Android app to see what instruments are on my watchlist.

  35. This App is just Amazing, after I installed and used I never even bothered to look at other Apps. Only thing I can complain about is the Widget, seems like it is not working at all anymore after the last update, or it stopped working 2 days ago, it just doesn’t show any prices and percentages when I click refresh. If you can fix this, I will change my rating to 5 star.

  36. Used to be good, now lagging and full of unneeded features that turn to bugs. Bring back the original tradingview Reply: the app sometimes fails to load, not showing accurate charts. Needs to be restarted often. When closing Ads it should not open browser to look at the ad. Very easy to fat finger it, make the X bigger. Charts need to open seamlessly after one click on currency/stock, not twice and on a small rectangle. This is something everyone will agree on.

  37. David Zid dice:

I think I am not the only one complaining about the new design. Here are some tips for you: – put time division in the top as it was and do not hide it + the animation is way to slow – the time division is very close to ticker so many times I accidentally hit ticker icon instead of time division – hire a better UX designer. Seriously. I hope I will enjoy the app again in the future. This redesign is very unlucky mess

  38. Very well designed. They pack a lot of functionality into a phone screen. I just wish they had a way to scroll thru my watch list, on the view with indicators, without having to go back to the watch list. Otherwise, it’s a top-notch app.

  39. The new update is bad ….it shows the opposite of the former app …am regretting updating the app …please fix it …thanks…when you draw your tool on the chart …it doesn’t stay on the chart and it was not like this before I up graded it …after drawing your tool on the chart …you come back again is not there ….

  40. It was running all good, but the chart stops suddenly and it’s very frustrating during live market.. please fix this issue, I have faith in Tradingview, one of the best trading apps in the mankind.. but please get rid of these issues. Works amazing on web..
