  1. I want to love it. The graphics and music are great. It’s a good game. But. After the latest update a few days ago it’s giving me “failed to tap / swipe” I started tapping harder, ensuring that I was in the perfect area, etc to make sure it was not my fault. Its definitely not me. It’s happening not only in fast complicated parts but in single note areas too. It’s a glitch. @Beatstar…Please look into it. It’s frustrating to get in a groove then get bounced out when you dont make a mistake.

  2. I noticed something that should be fixed with the next update: when a phone call comes in during gameplay, the game tiles continue to move. The way this should be fixed is that when a phone call comes in, the game should automatically enter the pause menu so that progress isn’t lost. But other than this the app is awesome; looking forward to trying the multiplayer mode when it starts. keep up the great work!

I really enjoy playing this game. The only thing I wish is that it didn’t take so many cards to get a full chest to get new songs. Sometimes it can take a long time before you get any new songs to play. A suggestion I would have is that when you are hitting the notes…have a different color come up when you get a perfect versus a perfect + just like it’s yellow if you get a great and and a green for perfect. Throw a third color in there so it’s easier to tell which perfect you’re hitting.

This game is so fun and the music is great! Although when the game glitches causing me to miss a lot of notes and fail the song, that ain’t cool at all and it’s happening more frequently even when my internet connection is amazing it still happens! Also I would love to have country songs and maybe some oldies from like the 60s-90s that would be amazing if those would added that would make the game perfect for me

  5. I absolutely love this game. The quality of the music and the selection of songs are everything I could ask for. The only thing I didn’t ask for is SO. MANY. ADS. You can play about 6 songs before all of your case slots are full and then you aren’t allowed to just enjoy the game anymore without watching flurries of ads before every song attempt. This would be a near perfect game if you just remove the ads with a full case inventory because I’m not spending hard earned gems for a small reprieve.

  6. I love this game, I love the music on it too. But, the issue I have had with it similar to another user on here, is that there are times when I play a song, especially an extreme one, the screen lags and it stops my progress. It also doesn’t register sometimes when I swipe. It’s really irritating. PLEASE fix this🙏that’s my only complaint, other than that I really enjoy this game

  7. This is a very fun game, and I would give it more stars, but no matter what hard or extreme song I get into it glitches (the beats stall, slow down and sometimes even stop) resulting is a missed key, and it then wants diamonds to continue. The adds are not terrible in this game. I do wish that they would lower the amount of time to open the boxes.

  8. gio . dice:

It is three lanes in which notes slide down the rows and you tap, hold, or flick the notes. The songs don’t have sound alikes and is the original singer. One recommendations is to include a label on songs so you can see which you haven’t played, which you play but didn’t clear it, which you cleared but use a continue, and which you cleared in one shot. It would add more replayability.

  9. Very fun, somewhat reminiscent of a very popular console game. Then there is the inundation of adds and it feels like you can spend more time add watching than playing, killing your fun quotient. I don’t have a problem dropping money for a premium game, which it is not, but I have learned the hard way to avoid micro-transactions. Which is the option to get rid of adds and for buying gems for continues. There isn’t a one and done add buy out option, just micro-transactions for a 30 minutes.

  10. This game is super fun and I love the bluetooth sync feature. I do have one suggestion though, after you sync your bluetooth device it would help if you could test to make sure it’s synced correctly using a simple beat (or something like that), rather than go into a song and find out it’s not.

  11. Best game on a phone that I’ve seen coming close to Guitar Hero, Rock Band, or, if you’re old like me, Frequency. I’d love not to have to save up sparingly generated diamonds in order to get new songs but there is a vast selection of music, old and new, across several genres. Excellent app! I’d gladly take some free stuff but I’m playing either way.

  12. I’m changing my review from a 4 to a 2 because this game glitches. Magically is always on the hard ones or extreme ones. It also glitchea when you are waiting on a reward and never get it. I enjoy playing the game when everything works. However the glitching is happening more often and its not my internet connection. 🙄 Edit 6/22/2022: Doesn’t lag as much but still doesn’t register swipes. So now 3/5.

  13. Feels really good to play, which means a lot to me with a rhythm game. HOWEVER, the forced waiting to play more songs (pushing you to pay to play) is infuriating and the swipe detection is pretty spotty, especially when it comes to double swipes. Normally I’d give a game this focused on micro transactions a 2 star review at best but I cannot deny how well game feels to play. Fix the swipe detection issues and give up a bit of the greed, then I’ll up my score.

  14. Fun but takes way to long to get songs u actually care about. Also, the whole one mistake in a song and you are done unless you use their in game currency is awful. I get it, it probably cost them alot to get to be able to use the songs they have so they have to be stingier than other games but unless I like the song once I beat the song no reason to play that song again since I have to do it without missing a note sure I could go for better timing for more stars but doesn’t add alot.

  15. Stephanie dice:

This game could have been better. So in this game you tap tiles to popular songs that you unlock by playing the game. Simple and nice, right? It would be if it wasn’t so hard to get songs, so laggy, and you are unable to choose the song that you want! It would be nice if the creators of this game would fix these issues, but until then my rating won’t change.

  16. Dawn G dice:

Update says it’s installed but then keeps telling me I need to update. Changed my review from 2 to 3 stars because the update finally worked. It’s a fun game but you can only play three times before having to wait 3-5 hours, pay money, or watch an ad for every turn. Half the time there are no available ads. Not much of a reward system in place.

  17. Really enjoying this game so far. the music selection is great and following the rhythms is challenging and fun. Only 4 stars because the patterns sometimes switch between following the beat and the lyrics and I wish it was one or the other and that it didn’t change in the middle of a song.

  18. I would normally give 5 stars to the game but, after the most recent update I can’t. Its just frustrating now. No mater how many times I will restart the app, uninstall/reinstall, clear the cache or close out all background apps it will still give me failed or late taps. It’s also will glitch and freeze and when it restarts wants me to use my gems to continue. I have been a paying player for the last cple months but I did not renew this month. I hope Beatstar fixes the app.

  19. Its very fun and challenging with no excessive ads; it’s a great substitute for piano tiles (which i wish i could download). Something you guys should do is have some kind of world event where people can submit what songs they want. (gotta be honest with you, i personally know only 1/3 of the songs which i actually vibe to.)(other than that, still good)

  20. This is by far my favorite rhythm game out there. Good choices in music, new ones added consistently and you can choose which type of songs you want! Edit: After I mentioned an ad after every song, it now seems to only have one, and that’s after the first song you play when launching the game. And that is much more manageable! Hope it stays that way!

  21. I spend too much on this, but it’s one of my favorite games. I wish the seasons were either longer duration or less expensive. A head-to-head feature would be a nice addition to gameplay, and the ability to raise or lower PERFECT zone placement would make it more comfortable for those whose thumbs are longer or shorter would really help. I love that I discover new music that I haven’t heard through the game.

  22. I really do like this game. As someone who grew up in the age of Tap-Tap, it’s a nice throwback but obviously modern. What I don’t like is how selective it is when it doesn’t register a tap. It’s almost as if the game wants to start over and waste coins. The monetization of this app is very disappointing as well. I’d say you’d probably get about 15 minutes of gameplay before your boxes are full and then you have to wait 3-5 hoirs to play again. Kinda discouraging.

  23. This game is the next best thing to guitar hero! I don’t mind the ads, or what most reviews complain about. My biggest issue is that the game doesn’t always pick up the swipes, nor the side keys! I’ll play 3 songs perfectly. then the next song won’t register the notes being hit. I am resetting the audio every 3 songs!!!! Freaking insane! This would be perfect without the glitching! Ahh! Edit on 06/17/22: Just when the game working, for about 2 weeks, it now doesn’t work again 😑

  24. Unique and fun! It slowly turns up the speed, and can be hectic with the arrow swiping. The card system is pretty interesting but will slowly take awhile to collect. You can only hold 3 cases, and annoyingly enough can only open ONE AT A TIME which is worse when the timer goes up to open any, along with the amount of cards you need to get free songs. I also dislike failing the entire song just for missing one note.

  25. The game is fun but it is completely ruined by constant ads and will force you to waste lots of money if you want to play long stretches. This is very typical of mobile games, which is why I don’t play many of them Just let me buy the game and unlock songs as I level up. Also it would be nice to get rid of the ads all together with a purchase of the game. It is fun and addicting but I just would like to purchase once and if I want, purchase additional song packs as a bonus to the ones I unlock

  26. Renko dice:

Really fun and satisfying, found some good music through this game! An issue I have though is how difficult it becomes to get new songs. Watching a 30 second add to get a couple cards is fine with me but I feel like season cases should give you way more than they do, the most recent one I opened is the second to last you can get but it only gave me three cards.

  27. Amazing game but even if you want to throw money at it, you still deal with ads, minimal playtime before progression is stunted and your typical loot box insanity. Just a real turnoff. If you’re going to monetize a game at least make it so you can get around some of these systems, you know, like a majority of games out there. Such a waste.

  28. I enjoyed playing this when I first installed it, but now after a few months of not playing and coming back to it, having to watch an ad to keep playing makes me not want to waste my time playing anymore. I would watch ads before to get more cards to collect more songs but limiting how many songs I can play after already having to get each song sucks.

  29. awesome …at least I thought so in the beginning, now the app. Is messing up, it’s counting taps and swipes on the game as me missing them when I have clearly tapped on them, gems are disappearing, no sound at times. Today all I got was a black screen but I could hear sound. This app is nothing but a problem after problem, I don’t recommend this game, all you’ll have is issues and support takes long time to help and they are of no help, they are clueless as to how to actually fix the issues.

  30. I agree with a lot of folks when I say, it takes to long to play songs & collect cards. Half the ads are way too long to play a song you’ve already played. It makes no sense to use up all your tries then have to wait hours to unlock stuff. The game is fun, but after a while it gets boring due to long wait for one thing to unlock at a time. Also, it would be nice to connect ALL devices instead of having to start from the ground up 😒

  31. I absolutely LOVE this app. it wouldn’t be as fun if it didn’t give you more songs. Of course I wish they were all accessable right away because there are certain ones I want to play. but that’s what makes it fun. not too hard to get up levels and earn cards. maybe it’s just me because I don’t hear music…I feel music and I am so at peace and relaxed. I just put myself in the best and the sting and even in hard level the first time I have made it thorough every single sing with at least 3 stars

  32. While I enjoy playing this game there are some bugs that need to be worked on. If I am in the middle of a song and the game freezes up it shouldn’t cost me gems to keep playing, for that is the games fault not my own. I have lost 3 times in the past two days due to your game freezing. And why when a box unlocks does ot only give you a few cards to fill the next song unlock. This takes way to long to be able to resume playing. 😩.

  33. gmhcubix dice:

Gameplay is pretty good for a mobile rhythm game. Unfortunately, it is pay to play after you fill up your three chest slots. It does give you the option to watch an ad to play the song, but why can’t I just play the game for fun to get higher scores for free? I’m fine with intermittent ads throughout gameplay, but to force you to watch an ad to play each song is a bit much. Greedy publisher for sure.

  34. This is a fantastic game, the songs are amazing, the charts are on time, and the optimize for you earbuds, so you can be precise is great! But I have one huge problem, and its that I find it very frustrating that I have to sit through an add every time I want to play a song, for every time, including when I fail. It be more enjoyable if less adds. I don’t want to sit through adds all day, I want to vibe to the amazing tunes!

  35. I freaking love this app. I was obsessed from the first day I installed it. HOWEVER, it’s quite glitchy. Nearly everytime I try to watch an ad to gain some cards or gems, it glitches and the app stops, then I end up never getting the reward. Also, let’s say I’m playing a song, especially one of the extreme ones. It glitches and freezes, then comes back on and says that I missed the note! It’s quite frustrating, honestly, which is why I only gave the game 3 stars. If that was fixed, I’d give it 5

  36. I grew up on tap tap revolution, so I was super excited to see a game very similar. It does cap you on how many songs you can play over a course of time, though I haven’t figured out that algorithm. It also gets glitchy with the game sometimes. You’ll tap the notes, and it won’t detect it. As soon as you miss a note the song is over, too. Definitely has some room for improvement, but it is enioyable!

  37. Malia dice:

It’s an okay game. I’m a sucker for rhythm games so this game doesn’t really meet my high standards. If you miss even one note you have to restart the whole song. Unlocking songs suck unless you want to replay the same songs over and over or pay money. Getting a good score is also super hard because you have to click the notes perfectly and it doesn’t hell that the notes are super close together. I wish you could change the speed of the note and the difficulty instead of unlocking hard songs.

  38. 6/10/22 Update: It’s been 1 and a half months since I last played and I decided to try to play it again. However, the issue from my last review came up! (The issue where once you finish a song, it freezes) The last time I played the issue was fixed from the last update that happened that month. Please fix this! I keep missing my card rewards and have to always to close the app and start again! That’s the only issue I have with the game. I would appreciate it if there was more case slots!

  39. It’s a fun game and I’d love to enjoy it more, but there’s too many situations where it won’t register a tap, then I lose out on a perfect run. I know I’m not missing it or off-beat, it just flat out won’t accept it sometimes. Would easily be 4 stars if that issue didn’t occur so often (only reason I wouldn’t give it 5 stars is because it constantly tries to get you to pay money for more content, and watch alot of ads).

  40. The game itself is pretty good on its mechanics, even though the ads are cringe, I’m glad that they are optional. The only thing I can say negatively about this app is the restrictions on song plays. Going for those platinum medals get rather tedious when you can only play songs a few times. As for the micro transactions, I could care less. I dont plan on buying songs for this app. This game is a side game I can play when I’m not at home and are able to play clone hero. Overall a solid game.

  41. An P dice:

Pros: Extremely addicting. Great music choices and lots of ways to get rewards. Cons: super hard to get a perfect score, even when doing everything right–can’t see precisely where the score line is, you mostly have to”feel” it. Can’t really make any mistakes without starting over the game Sometimes the server goes down in middle of a play. There are a lot of rules and confusing items to keep up with.

  42. Peyton dice:

Fun game and good music selection. I have noticed there’s consistently lag in some places, especially on Extreme levels – maybe the game struggles to render lots of beats at once? – which can be pretty frustrating, especially when the game freezes up for a few seconds and fails a level that I was flying through before. The ads can be awful, but at least they don’t interrupt you when you’re in the middle of a game.

  43. This is such a well done game. Very polished, satisfying transitions. Clearly some very talented developers and designers behind the scenes. But, like everything else, it’s become an abomination of what it once was. Annoying ads after nearly every song. Paying for all kinds of features that are shoved in your face. Absolutely kills the game for me.

  44. Katie dice:

Beatstar is very fun and worth trying but there are some problems. I think the amount of ads is mostly reasonable but I’m slightly annoyed that one plays after a couple songs. Also, the game runs like garbage on my phone. I turned the screen resolution down and turned off my battery saver and I still get terrible lag spikes. You should optimize the game or add graphics settings. Also, I don’t think having to pay to play longer is necessary. If this review is helpful to you, please mark it as so.

  45. Changed my review due to the recent update. More ads than ever, some you can’t get out of, the game crashes CONSTANTLY, it lags so badly you mess up on the songs, the boxes take forever to open and now you get barely any cards out of the deal. I love the songs and playing this game, but it’s hard to enjoy it anymore. Give it a try, but you’re gonna get frustrated. Other than the issues, it’s a fun game. Shame it’s going downhill.

  46. Good game, would be great if you could continue playing after a point without needing to spend money on gems. Ive had it a while now, glad they continue to add songs. But they need to come up with a way to make it so you don’t just fail the song. They aren’t creating a very diverse leaderboard with the current formula. I also would like to see the issue of buttons missclicking get fixed. I can press one button and sometimes 4 or 5 will go off, ruining a chance of a high score.

  47. YES THERE IS ADS, but they are only if you want to continue to play songs after an allotted time frame or to get more cards to unlock more songs. Reason why I rate 4/5* is that those adds are now 30+secs long and are more than half the time a black screen. Unable to get your cards that you want. When you do click on the screen it will take you to the game that is advertised, but that’s it. If they fix that and dial down the ads back down to 15 SECS I would rate higher. Still good game though.

  48. This game is fantastic. Fun, smooth, and intuitive gameplay, pretty sizable song pool, and free-to-play friendly. The only thing it was really missing was an incentive to keep playing your favorite songs after you’d already mastered them. The latest update gave us exactly that with the introduction of deluxe songs. I’d give the game 6/5 stars if I could.

  49. Started it and was excited. Finally! A rhythm game that has an actual challenge. Then I couldn’t play any songs. I was super confused, then realized I had to press on these boxes at the bottom and let them tick down to 0 before I could play. Every other free game these days has some mechanic like this so whatever. Then I noticed the time is drastically rising. It’s my first day playing and I’m already locked out for three full hours. That’s unacceptable.

  50. As most here have already stated, this is an extremely fun game with great choices in music. However, it loses two stars from me because of how buggy the harder levels are. It often tells me I failed a swipe/tap when I know full well that I got it. Or it will tell me I’ve failed an incoming swipe when it’s still coming down the chart…

  51. Love the game – having some glitches with the last update (12/21). When clicking the option for a card reward that pops up to watch an ad, the ad won’t load. This happens every other video offer. Tap claim, screen goes black for a second then goes back to whatever screen I was on before the offer popped up. No video and no reward despite tapping “claim”. Again, it’s only every other offer. I’ve also had the game glitch to black screen randomly then go to the main screen.

  52. Mrs. Ward dice:

I use to be absolutely obsessed with this game. I would play daily and had built a large library of songs by Level 18. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the lagging issue had gotten so bad I couldn’t finish a single song. I thought uninstalling and re-installing the app might help. To my horror, all of my success and growth within the game are gone. I am heartbroken! All of the time and money I invested..gone! I mistakenly assumed the game was connected to my Google account.

  53. Changed my original review. There are still a few bugs here and there. Also I read somewhere that you didn’t have to pay to continue a song after you missed a note once upon a time. I think that’s a wonderful idea. Miss a note then you lose your x4 or whatever score but keep the song going. It gets me irritated whenever I mess up and I can’t keep going to practice the rest of the song. Also the amount of cards required to open a box for a new song is way too much. It used to be 30, now it’s 70.

  54. I’m glad I don’t have the tap/mapping & lagging/sync or mandatory ads issues other players are having. But I do have a problem with this: payment for watching ads is very chintzy. After I finish a song and the option to pick one of the two genres/difficulty card boxes should pay out MORE than just one or two cards. ESPECIALLY with each new song per genre, boxes require more cards to open. That SUCKS!! And ONE CARD after getting all rewards on a new tour per level-up? Are you kidding? Kick more!

  55. The Ocean dice:

One of the biggest reasons I liked this game was that you earned something when you watched an ad. Now it just throws ads at you left and right and you don’t get anything for them. Sure, you can skip them but they are still extremely annoying. I went from playing the game all the time and recommending it to friends and family to wanting to delete it, and if the ads aren’t gone in the next update I’m going to.

  56. I absolutely love this!!! It’s entertaining! And you don’t have to spend money to level up and enjoy playing! Came back to edit. I stopped playing for a little bit. And I tried to come back to it. But the sensitivity sucks. I swipe and it doesn’t even register I swiped, so I end up losing. The game definitely isn’t as fun as it was. It happens through basically every song.

  57. This game was fun at first but now I get ads after every song I play. There are also many times where it says I didn’t tap a note or didn’t hold it long enough and I’m tired of spending gems to revive myself. There are also times when I hold a note but it dissappears after like I didn’t hold it long enough even if my finger hasn’t left the screen. The game also lags and then I end up getting greats because it slows down and suddenly they’re past the perfect bar.

  58. They still have not worked out bugs where you press a button and it doesn’t register. I spend gems to make the song continue and lo and behold the same thing happens 3 seconds later. Essentially unplayable at this point, as this happens close to every time I do my daily shuffle. Edit: a month later and this same issue is still happening. What a fraudulent app.

  59. This is a great game however over time the ads have become unbearable. Most are 45-60 seconds by the time the screen clears and the reward is now minimal. The threshold to earn a new song on the deluxe update is ridiculous. It is now 70 and watching an ad is 1 credit. Prior to this update there was a more reasonable balance. They are in the process of ruining the game.

  60. V K dice:

I really enjoyed this game up even with the bugs, lags, and taps not consistently regustering until the most recent updates. Entirely too many ads. An ad after each and every song is extremely excessive. Takes the fun away. I just close the app and restart. Find that I play less and less instead of daily like I have before. I play with others but looks like we will all uninstall soon. Devs don’t seem to bother with improving functionality or gameplay.

  61. Rob Bond dice:

A great game is slowly being ruined with every update. Used to only watch ads for rewards, now there are mandatory ads after every song for no rewards. Everyone has their own tastes, but country music?? C’mon now. Also, most of the songs have god awful mapping where the symbols will indiscriminately swap sync with the vocals, instruments, or where the beat/melody should be. Turns into more memorization more than following the song, but granted that’s only if you’re aiming for perfection.

  62. Apparently, I was never signed into beatstar. You can add friends and spend money without signing in. None of that was made clear to me when I had the game the first time. I had to get a new phone and I lost everything! All my songs and the money I put into it! I feel ripped off. Why would you make an app that you put money into that you dont have to sign into? I thought I could back my things up onto the new phone but no. So disappointed.

  63. Kyle K dice:

I would settle for them fixing the touch sensitivity. How do you hit 2 pads at the same time but one is perfect+ and the other is perfect? Half the time the arrows fail and yet they had the gall to make a deluxe without getting the originals to work 100% of the time. I have pads that I touch but they keep going and force me to use gems to continue. Well done…

  64. Would be good if: 1. Didn’t require so many ads to get anywhere 2. If it were to remain infested with ads, allow a one time premium payment. But no, they don’t have an option to let you play as many songs as you want. They include time limited free play mode with purchases, wether you pay for the game or not. 3. Had more songs, and have those songs be more easily available. This game would be an easy 5 stars if these were met. It’s the best on the store.

  65. Update: Now ads are ridiculous too. They kept them away just long enough to get good reviews before bombarding you. Gameplay is too limited, events are overpriced and underwhelming, it takes too long to unlock new songs, and ads aren’t worth the rewards. For sure designed to be much better as a pay to play game, so prepare to be frustrated or disappointed if you’re not willing to pay.

  66. Probably the best and most unique beat game on the appstore, as it incorporates piano tile type mechanics and swiping. Really good song selection too, only downside is it’s harder to get songs. In order to level up, you have to collect stars by playing songs, and after a while you’ve collected all the stars on your songs, so you have to wait to get new songs. Also wish you could have the option to not get certain genres of music. Other than that, it’s a super fun good quality game.

  67. Game is a fun time killer with some great music. It has major issues in terms of audio synch though. The maps and audio are constantly out of synch forcing you to synch the audio every time you open the app and if you don’t the slightest bit of off timing is the difference between platinum/diamond and not even getting 5 stars on a song. This is a major issue that needs to be addressed.

  68. Fun game but lost all progress because I didn’t think I needed to sign up for another service to save my games which every other game I have google does that for me. Also very hard to unlock songs. Only way is to watch ads every chance you can. And then you will run out of ads so you can’t play songs once you lose because in order to play the song it requires you watch an ad. Its crazy the level of pay to play in this game.

  69. This game was great for awhile. And it kept improving with different genres of music and gave a challenge even to musicians. Sadly the last update has cause some issues when it comes to ads and moments of glitching out. There used to be no ads unless you wanted a reward and chose too watch them for it. Now there’s ads every time you attempt a round. Also there’ll be times where the beats will be out of sync. I just had one game that sped through 30 notes before playing and instant loss.

  70. Love the game, and like the new deluxe idea, but every update seems to make tap registration worse. Can close everything on the phone and go into high performance mode, but taps will go unregistered and game stream will lag. Tried on 2 devices and both have the same issue. If this were resolved and game worked like it originally did, I’d give it 5 stars.

  71. I really enjoy the game. Some of the songs are unnecessarily difficult when paired with arthritis though. And at some point, it’s practically impossible to get new songs without paying for them. Also, the ‘gambling’ part of it is really dumb to me, I hate spinning for rewards.

  72. Gets annoying when you have too many cases and cannot play anymore songs for fun without ads. I keep trying to get higher scores and end up with no space at all. I would recommend making a system where you can buy more slots by getting coins and having quests. Game seems pointless if you cant ever play it.

Punishes you for being good at the game. You have to open boxes to play games, but boxes take time. You get more boxes the better you do on a song, so you play less if you’re good at it. If you watch an ad and fail the level quickly, it’s worthless. I like the mechanics, but the punishing behavior is going to dock stars no matter the option to watch an ad. Also, this will inherently make users play LESS because they are forced to wait. I hate this trend in games.

  74. This game is super fun, in my opinion it’s one of the most enjoyable piano tile games to play. Unfortunately it suffers from a couple issues. Sometimes the game just doesn’t register perfect + beats at the right time. You can be perfectly in sync with the music with no ear buds in for delay, and still be a tenth of a second off because the map is off. The other big issue is monetization. It takes awhile to get new songs, and they just added automatic ads after you play a song, which is irritatin

The core gameplay loop is really great here. This might be the best mobile music game I’ve ever seen. But it’s completely ruined by using every single monetization technique at once. The addition of the tour pass system is welcome as at least there is now a guaranteed set of songs you’ll get. But in season 12 they’ve pushed most of the songs to the final levels of the tour. In the final 4 levels you get 3 of the 9 songs. The first three songs unlock in 13 levels. 2/3 of them in the last half.

I had an issue with lagging after the last update, but it seems to be fixed. This is a fun game to pass the time, but it’s very dependent on gems, which cost real money. I also seem to have a consistent issue with how it registers my taps; I’ll swipe but it doesn’t think I swiped, or I’ll hit it in the perfect zone but it says I missed. Also, the hard/extreme songs are nearly IMPOSSIBLE. Other than that, it’s a good game. Really nice graphics and I love the song choices.

It’s pretty entertaining, not a lot to choose from at the start, but it’s nice earning songs! My only complaint, I’ve had a few songs that include “swiping” notes, those notes are supposed to have arrows as shown in the preview image. Those notes have not once had an arrow on them, causing me to fail the song for missing the “swipe” they have a “-” like the regular notes instead.

  78. I really like that you can now continue to play songs after being full on cases. But I don’t like that you have to watch an ad EVERY time you want to play an extra song, unless you use diamonds. I’d say watching an ad should let you play 2 or 3 songs before you have to watch another ad, or even bring in earning some kind of play passes to play more songs for getting high scores, or beating your friends scores. It’d be a fun way to tie in an incentive to be competitive/get better at the game.

  79. Love this game, especially collecting my favorite songs, however the game will sometimes freeze/drop frames at random points in a song for some reason, with no way around it; I’ve had to spend countless gems to continue songs when I missed beats due to lag. Aside from that major issue, it’s a great game and I would definitely recommend it to any music lovers who enjoy rhythm games.

  80. Good game overall. The song selection is great and it’s a lot of fun. I have 3 gripes tho: 1. Progressing is difficult unless you buy additional songs 2. You make one mistake and it is game over unless you have plenty of gems. 3. If you fill case slots, you cannot play until one has been freed up, which requires time or gems These make it feel like you have to pay to win. I get lisensing to use these songs cost money, but some give somewhere would be appreciated.
