  1. This app needs work, nevermind being under compensated for cancelled or unfulfilled orders in stores (pick ups can go from $16 to $4 if not in the store, no matter how far you drove.) The app constantly freezes or messes up after any action(picture, confirm etc). Constant freezing and changes make it frustrating to use. Edit: Now the app crashes every time you open it up.

The app is great, when everything is actually working. If not, be prepared for huge disappointment. I no longer receive notifications, so other drivers in my area have the clear advantage over me. If a sender sends out a duplicate pick up and you accept it, be prepared for it to be stuck on your screen for 24 hours. If the dimensions are wrong at pick up, be prepared to go through 2-3 reps before you get actual help. I still manage to make a stable income weekly, but tweaks are definitely needed

I really like being able to make a little extra cash with Roadie. One thing I really wish they’d change is not being able to see other gigs once you’ve started a gig. I’ll get alerts stating there’s new gigs but I’m unable to see them. It would be especially handy for when you’re picking up and a new gig comes in at that pickup location. I’d like to be able to pickup at the same time rather than wait till I’m done the first gig and if the second ones still available head back to the pickup.

  4. If I could give this zero stars, I would. The idea is great but the app execution is abysmally poor. Whatever updates they’ve done since I took a break, they need to undo. I’ve had multiple gigs that I’ve had to cancel because they have already been picked up. If you’re not within two miles of the store, offers are stuck in pending mode until you cancel and resubmit. It’s been an exceedingly frustrating waste of time and fuel.

This app doesn’t want to pay fair rates. Best used if you want to add an extra gig if you’re already going to an area. You can’t do multiple deliveries even if they’re at the same location and going to the same area. Very wasteful in areas where towns are 30-60 minutes apart Recent experience and had it happen several times now. You get a long distan gig, drive there and it’s been picked up or it can’tbe filled. You get $3 TOTAL after waiting 15-20 minutes

  6. I no longer receive notifications from the app since the last update. About half the of the deliveries l try to do have already been done by someone else. My offers are not accepted on a regular basis, even though it appears that no one else is delivering the order l tried to accept. No matter my distance from the pick up point, I’m only ever given 5 minutes to arrive on location. Other than that, it works well.

  7. Horrible delivery app. You have to be within 35 miles from the delivery, most of them are duplicate orders that have been picked up already. I drove 50 mins from my house with a truck and trailer to pick up a delivery for 81 dollars only to find out when I arrived at the merchant that it had been picked up already and 2 other drivers had been there to pick it up as well and were turned away. They are only compensating me $8 for the cancelation delivery. I wasted more than $8 just in my time

  8. Many trips at this point/5star reviews for those that did. After you make a certain allotment they throttle your accepted bids. Confirmed for 2 gigs, same area/same time (but separately, due to the matching system. Support will encourage you to Cancel). Canceled 1 gig, the other offer was accepted. But never accepted at the same time. They were smaller gigs nearby to each other. It’s been 2 hrs and no one else has been accepted for either gig. I re-canceled bids after an hr wait in parking lot.

Ok, let’s face it, the app has some room for improvement and it seems Roadie is making some improvements here and there. One of the issues I have noticed is the estimates for the drive time are way off if you live in the mountains and drive the speed limit. Another issue I have is with the outsourced, English is my second language, customer support. Its basically one notch above worthless and that’s putting it nicely. Independent contractors, Roadie term, deserve a better local customer support!

  10. S P dice:

Driver support is truly lacking in many regards. There shouldn’t ever be a time when a driver can not reach their “dispatch”, especially when they’re having an issue while on a current stop. Even still, with a few tweaks I’d give 5 stars, but still a great app. Lets get it Roadie, we together can make this app better… 2/9/22-driver support has improved tremendously, it’s not perfect but there’s money to be made.

  11. App is not bad but does have some weird glitches such as sending you a gig after the pick up location is closed. However, if there is a problem, support does pretty good unless it is a heavy holiday time. Then it is so overwhelmed you can’t get anybody for a long time, up to the next day. Then you are locked out of any gigs that become available. You can also not override the system in any way at that point. It needs a straight up cancelation option that does not require customer support.

  12. Alex Vega dice:

Things have changed. Only one delivery at a time. Starting gigs for 7$. They killed the app when they don’t allow the driver to have multiple pick-ups at one location. I used to make 40$ 50$ picking up baggage from the airport 3-4 deliveries at the time. Items descriptions are just sooo inaccurate. You think you picking up one item, you end up with your car full of groceries 15 or 20 bags easy. Change those things this app will be great.

  13. This app is horrible I’ve tried for over a year to get verified through the app but it’s so busted. I’ve done 3 updates over the course of that year period. Also spoke to several people in customer service for roadie in order to try and get the problem fixed. Sent probably about 13 different emails back and forth with different people in the company. Also the loads are literally chump change. Will make more money spending my time starting my own business cutting grass.

  14. Z Z dice:

First time using the app. I had 3 pickups at the exact same place but they were not listed together so I had to drive there 3 times!! Could you maybe bundle the deliveries if they are at the same store and set a route for the drivers? Would really save alot of time. Other than that it’s not bad. I will give it time and review again.

  15. Mark Carl dice:

I have been with Roadie since 2016. Over 488 Gigs completed. Most are really easy to do. Few issues. I really wish that the pay was a lot better though. Some gigs pay less than .30 cents per mile which is bad. Would do more if the pay were higher. Would love to see a photo of the item to be delivered taken by the sender.

  16. This is the worst app ever. I have bide on several gig most were rejected but the ones I did get accepted on, it wouldn’t allow me to scan my ID to start my gig. I finally found the contact support on add but it took them an hour each time to respond to my issue. By this time I was rejected. They either need to upgrade the ID scanner process or take it off altogether.

  17. Easy to use, it takes some time before you get accepted for deliveries as other drivers with more experience get the bids first. It took about 10 bids before i got my first acceptance. The pay is good and the job is easy. The interface could really use an louder alert for when your bids get accepted. I’m not always able to sit and stare at my phone forn10 to 15 mins. It’s an all in all good service and decent app.

  18. I love driving for Roadie! They do have some glitches that happen in the app from time to time & it can be slow working at times but it makes up for itself in the longrun. ..and to Kaitlyn A. (I believe)…when you are on a gig if u go to top left corner of the gig you’re on, hit what looks like maybe a flag up there…it’s the only thing there & then it will bring up the map & up top left again will be a ⭕ click it & then it will put a line thru the circle & u will be able to offer on them! 🙂

  19. The app is a great for supplementing your income, when I first started, but over time I notice that there was nepatism going on. Trips I used to get all of a sudden were not given. Then they said if there are more than one pick up at a location, you could pick up both which ended up not being consistent. Then they expect you to go 28 miles for $12. Give the drivers pickups worth picking up!

  20. It’s a great way to earn a little extra money. Customer Service has been great. Someone actually looks at our reviews of the sender. I commented that Walmart had taken 30+ min and received a message saying I can cancel after 15 min and receive a cancellation fee. I wish there was an option to automatically cancel my offers if I have put in for 2 gigs and don’t get both of them and an actual discription of them item would be great so I’d know if it fits for sure. But, I’d give more ⭐ if I could!

  21. I have no major problems with this app. I’ve been driving with Roadie for about 3 weeks and have made pretty decent money. One thing I would like to see added to the app is the OPTION to have (turn on/turn off) gig notifications at my discretion. I hate having to keep the app open and constantly refresh the map to see what gigs are out there. If this can be added, I’d give 5 stars. Outside from that I have not had ANY problems!

  22. Ever since you made me install this app over the old app I am unable to turn off notifications. I can go into the app and hit the little button but it doesn’t change a thing. I have the setting set to where I won’t receive notifications but they just keep coming. Please have your programmers use their time in isolation to fix this. It’s extremely annoying.

  23. I wish there was a list view of available gigs instead of just the map. Would also like to see the address of pick-up location before bidding since Home Depot has several locations in town and it’s hard to figure out which one I’m picking up at until I’ve already accepted the gig. All in all, I love doing Roadie gigs. Would just like to see more user friendly options in the app.

  24. Forget getting in touch with customer support. Was in hold for 2hrs and nothing. Text and email works but they will respond after 3-4hrs no point after that. Too many bugs to be fixed still. Also, forget making money and trying to get those 45 dollar plus gigs. You will never get them. I’ve applied for 5 gigs at the same time. I never get a single one. I’ve waited a whole day trying to get a good delivery and it never happens. Lol. Good app overall.

  25. Terrible cant close out jobs properly. Doesnt have the option to see different gigs in a list. Only has at bottom of phone pull side to side. The first app doesnt always work properly either. But this one is worse. I do like you can see the footprint on the map of where the different jobs are going. Leaves like a trail. Still have to use the old app untill this one gets better.

  26. I never get notifications of new gigs. I have to refresh manually every time. I miss gigs cause of this all the time. It should be able to do this on its own every 10-15 seconds? I would think. All my settngs are correct if that may be the issue but poking the screen until i see a gig is what im doing. All notifications are turned on always as well.

  27. This app is great if you are located in the right region. It has very high potential. I started off getting a lot of gigs but then it seems like it tapered Other drivers cheat the app by using multiple accounts. Like today I have offered to take at least 6 gigs and not one was accepted. I still leave the app open because once in a while a gig will pop up in my region and once in a while they will give me a run. If more businesses jumped on board and the gig assignments were done more fairly then i would give it 5 stars. The app itself is okay, quite a few bugs and laggy at times, sometimes to the point you are spending more time waiting for the app to respond than you are driving.

  28. Not sure if it’s an app issue or something else but I can’t drive. When I click submit offer which is supposed to initiate a background check the first time nothing happens. I’ve emailed support numerous times and they are apparently unable to tell if a background check has been initiated. On the other hand Uber had everything done in a couple days.

  29. Terrible experience with this app. Total waste of time! I get to a pickup location and I’m asked to scan my driver’s license. The scanner simply will not work! No matter how many times I tried, it will not scan. It refuses to allow me to pick up the item and proceed. I wasted 40 minutes trying to contact customer support to help me with this issue and no one would answer their texts aside from an automated message. Absolutely the worst! This has happened to me twice I am uninstalling this app.

  30. I have found that this app/ side hustle is a very helpful addition to my work opportunities. I can check out what jobs are available (or be notified) and grab whatever ones I want at my own convenience. In my area it’s not been back to back orders because I dont think it’s super well known, but in bigger cities I’ve seen it have 10 or more orders at one time to pick from. Just check it out and see what offers you get for awhile and see if it’s worth your time. Roadie app and pay system is good

  31. I’m only giving three stars for now, and this is why! It has on my dashboard that I completed 17 deliveries, but I completed 18. One Delivery was close to a two hour drive. The gig was canceled 20 minutes before my scheduled arrival. It’s almost impossible to locate a number within the app itself to get phone assistance. You have to send an email first. It has been well over two weeks since that has happened. I haven’t been paid yet. $60 gig + $16 for tolls plus gas. Screen shot your gigs!

  32. The app is really slow when it comes to completing actions. Sometimes it will not even perform the actions at all. I’m getting an error message when trying to refresh the map. Which causes me to miss out on gig opportunities. When I try to check my gig history the screen goes blank. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Then I kept getting an error message when trying to log back in. It will not allow me to. The app is really wasting my time with all of these issues. This app is not ready.

  33. Absolutely horrible customer service as a potential driver, can’t imagine what it’s like doing or even offering a gig. Last year I got approved in a couple weeks, this year it’s been a couple months and now I’m locked out of my account. The only feedback I get from support is “I’ll forward it to management” then nothing after… EVER! After several attempts it’s time to delete the app.

  34. I like this app overall. It’s fairly easy to use and you actually have customers service helping you in case you get confused about something. That is way better than most of the delivery apps I have used. I think the price payout for further distance pickups need to be adjusted and recalculated better especially If we get what we get then we have to drive back without compensation.

  35. Ive had this app for over a month. I checked it often and hardly any pickups ever pop up. Even if you find one and submit your offer. Theres about an 8% chance the sender will even choose you to deliver the package. Out of the 4/5 pickups I did. One told me they already sent it when i got there. Another said i went to the wrong address. I didnt. This app is not very useful and its getting to the point where its just a waste of app space.

  36. Great app! The only suggestion I have is a better and/or simpler layout to see the overall Gig info without having to click more info. I hit submit offer, and was accepted for the GIG thinking it was a overall QTY of 6. I showed up to pick up the items only to find it was 4x different order numbers, with an overall QTY of 13. I hesitated in taking the gig, but did it anyway. As a result, it took me an hour longer to complete.

  37. R Cooper dice:

ATTENTION!!!! If you want to waste your time, then use Roadie. I waited 40mins to get accepted for a gig just for them to cancel and repost the same gig for a cheaper price. This app is the worst, they really pick and choose who they want to give deliveries too. I’ve recorded it twice and been documenting all the shady stuff this app has going on. If you want to make money in your spare time use point pickup or postmates they don’t care what you look like as long as you can get the job done.

  38. I much prefer the previous app this Beta app is just too fragile in so many ways. It can simply disappear just when you need it most. First of all it doesn’t let you know if you receive a gig for sure. I have had lots of problems with the google map version. It always just gets you in the neighborhood of the delivery address. The older version took you right to the door of your delivery.

  39. It’s nice when it works, but they claim you’ll know within 15 minutes of submitting an offer which is almost never the case. I’ve had a delivery get accepted and then immediately cancel but for some reason it gave ME a one star rating and when I emailed support it took them 4 weeks to get back to me and they didn’t address the problem. Hopefully the issues get resolved because it really is a great side gig.

  40. I don’t think I’ve had any issues as far as the app or Roadie support goes over 100 orders. Love the simplistic UI. The new integration of scanning your ID for every order can be a little annoying but its nothing major. I hope they add something to group multiple gigs yourself. Sometimes, they do have a 3 or 4 dropoff order that are great. I’ve only been accepted to group 2 orders twice but usually get denied. Volume is decent and easily ties in with my other apps.
