  1. Many many server errors that last for up to an hour. I just close it and try my job search later in the day. Where I live I need to map each location. When I leave to go to Google maps and come back to indeed the app refreshes every time and I lose the job I was on. I have to save each job so I don’t lose it . Very inefficient. Used to be a great job search tool.

  2. I’m not sure anyone is posting on Indeed anymore. Even if they are, you can’t easily apply anymore. I’ve had to create more passwords lately than I’ve had to since subscriptions became more prominent. Even if you can easily apply you have to put the same resume info down on the second page that’s already on page one just to get an email to tell you to fill out a 3rd application on the corporate site. And you should have a rule against keeping anything on a job posting confidential.

Great App but I only gave it four stars because my resume wouldn’t upload and I couldn’t figure out why. Finally realized I needed to download Adobe because I’ve used it in the past. If this information was on the app somewhere, then I couldn’t find it. If not, it would definitely be something you should consider adding, especially for someone who’s new to filling out applications online.

  4. The app used to be good, now it doesn’t function. There’s a constant message about the web browser being outdated, however I’m using the app, not the web. I can’t sort, search, or select a job posting. I can only scroll down the postings listed and refresh for an updated list. Indeed need to fix their app bugs. If not, there’s no need for me to continue having it take space on my device.

  5. Most of my issues come from the actual people writing job descriptions. On multiple occasions, jobs have the wrong information and I dont find out until half way through an interview. The filters for Indeed are also significantly lacking and shouldn’t even be an option if jobs arent going to use them, or use them correctly. Such as a job being under “entry level” and it requiring a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years experience.

  6. No distinct notification sound is my only problem. I just lost a message from a interview because I was receiving other messages and it just popped up in the middle of a conversation and I didn’t notice it. Although I don’t think I ever heard a notification sound coming from this app ever, for real. Everything just pops up in my email, but this app hasn’t actually make a notification sound.

  7. Usually have no problems with the app. Easy to use, resume and easy apply are great, messages are useful. Today I opened it and it is in dark mode and I didn’t do that to it and I can’t find a setting to change it. It was fine this morning so not sure what happened. Quite annoying.

  8. Liz Decker dice:

Edit — App has gotten 10x WORSE! I can’t even open it at this point and get an error. I like using indeed but at this point it is absolutely impossible. *** Every time I try to use a filter to narrow the search I get a blank page. I’ll try it multiple times and sometimes I’ll get the results but mostly I don’t. Makes searching almost impossible. Also, the mile radius is WAY off with this app. Just updated the app and still having the same issues.

  9. Using this app is so frustrating. The way it’s set up, with cards for jobs instead of a list, means that every card pops back up with every new page and then takes several seconds to realize I closed it. More annoying, it never saves my searches. I think it’s because I use a VPN, but it still thinks I live in Los Angeles, even when I’m connected to, say, the Netherlands. Sometimes the list gets stuck, and it won’t let me select the job I wanted. There’s also no way to eliminate remote jobs.

  10. John Kroft dice:

Started great, but in the last week or two the app crashes every time I filter a search or try to submit an application. Crash may not be the right word, but it returns an error and won’t leave the error screen. I can’t even report the error in the app because the error prevents any navigation away from the error screen. Just access indeed in a browser, honestly.

  11. This app has been getting worse at filtering jobs by location out. I see too many either no where close to my search location or too many on the road which those companies are no where near. The distant miles doesn’t save. I have to set it every time. Too many job searches pop up that require qualifications I don’t have and there isn’t a way to filter that out that I can see. It’s just terrible anymore. It is starting to be as bad as search engines giving the opposite search results.

  12. Alice Cran dice:

The app has great suggestions but it keeps glitching, the search bar will not open for about 2-5 minutes. When it does open the key board won’t be compatible with the search bar wich makes it extremely difficult. I will not forget to mention when I click the application to read about it takes along time to load, after it loads my phone glitches out. I’ve tried updating it and resetting it and it refuses to work. I hope it gets fixed soon.

  13. Every time I’m moving to a new area, Indeed is the app I pull up first. It always gives you a good idea of what normal wages are for your career in different areas, and personalizes all results based on what you’ve searched before. I don’t even need to look up the job I’m looking for anymore, I just pick an area and they come up before any others. Wonderful system, wonderful results, wonderful app. 👏

  14. I’ve noticed some issues that need addressing. The filter for job search location doesn’t always seem to work. I’ve also noticed that messaging seems broken as well. I can receive a message but if I respond to it the sender never gets back. This has happened a number of times, including an instance of the messages being only a minute apart.

  15. Dethgato D dice:

The app does help you find jobs, and uploading/editing your resume is easy. The app could use some quality of life changes such as being able to have it search for jobs your looking to get into without it having to reflect just what’s on your resume, or being able to have a lot of the same jobs that are contracted out to third party contractors not take up the entire feed. Ide still recommend it to others though even giving those downsides.

  16. I like the computer much better than the app of course because navigation is difficult and the computer you can see much more. However you are at is far more compatible then your competition. I will assume that some of the functions you have are proprietary and maybe they are not able to use them. However I would hope that they could come up with something. Anyway that said navigation is what gave you your ratings.

This App is Crapp! Server Errors after Server Errors! For 3 days now, I have been trying to do a job search and cannot. This used to be such a great resource. Now, the filters are questionable. I do a search for a specific area and get tons of listings for everywhere but the location I am looking for.

  18. Chris Popp dice:

Getting a blank white screen when I click on Apply Now. Have found the troubleshooting page, cleared cache on app and Chrome browser on phone – no change. Have rebooted – no change. Was working fine a few hours ago. If there’s a problem with the Indeed system, there should be a notice saying so and not a blank screen. Bad UX if this is the case.

  19. I enjoy this app. I think it’s easy to use. I have other competitors and some are a little harder to navigate or not as friendly to navigate or how the layout is. I think this layout is a lot easier to use and they show you the zip code or city and salary per hour or week or year at the front page of each job and easy to automatically apply most of the job applications on indeed

  20. Was good until update. Now glitches. All my options reset. Now can’t get at options. Cannot quick fill in any more. Freezing can’t get to resume any longer. Asking how I like app three times while I’m trying to fill out applications . Super slow now. Veeeerry frustrating.. Looking for jobs in NY. Getting jobs and offers from every state but NY Can’t find a job on your app if it’s not working properly. frustrating.

  21. Maxell R dice:

I’ve gotten my last two jobs off indeed. kept them for years until relocation pushed me into searching for new positions, and guess where I went back to whenever I needed a new job? yeah, indeed. download and make your resume impressive because those stick out the most. if your interview sucks, it’s on you, not the app.

  22. Kat Moats dice:

It’s alright lol. It’s a really easy app to navigate, when it works. Half the time, I will get a “server down” error, which means my job search is over until it’s resolved. Half the filters change every time you check, so you can never resume the same job search you were just working on because it doesn’t give those options

  23. The app works well and meshs seamlessly with the website if you’re switching back and forth between a computer and mobile device. The tools for your search criteria are very easy to use. My only complaint is that the exact location of businesses isn’t listed all the time if you’re searching within a specific region. Some will crop up from different areas but are listed as being within your search range

  24. Craig B dice:

Good app. However, I up loaded my resume to Indeed and in the end, it messed all my information up. Placing companies with the wrong addresses and not recognizing my college experience in the corresponding section. Saying I had no education. It took a while to straighten it up. When I signed in the next time, the very same thing. Over all, good app.

  25. been using it for years and it has been pretty helpful with getting me my jobs. Only compliment really is sometimes things in the app don’t work if you click on them sometimes. I think it would be an awesome add in if they let you message the employer questions since some of the postings aren’t completely filled out. but overall, its a pretty good job finding app.

  26. Indeed is a great app to have. If you’re information is logged in, you can apply to a job easily. There’s a lot of jobs that pop on the screen regularly, and it also shows if you’re a match/ qualified for that position, it is highlighted & it tells you that you’re qualified for that particular job. It also allows you to update any information that needs to be touched up. Thank you for coming up with this App. it makes job searches much easier.🙏🏾❤️

  27. I like browsing for jobs on my phone during down-time. There are some quirks when browsing. if you apply and push the back arrow it seems confused and hangs some times. Some jobs seem to disappear while others don’t. It tries to be smart and offer more of the same jobs you click. This is nice for specialist but can make it not show other career paths a person had not considered, but might be interested in switching to.

  28. Decent app but worthless as far as filtering goes. I chose bilingual as “not interested ” and it still shows on my feed. Same with when it recommends a remote job(my preference) but then shows me jobs that have to be in a specific state. Helpful but frustrating. I feel like I am rereading many of the jobs I mark as not interested.

  29. the app show you jobs and let’s you apply for them quickly and easily. so that’s all well and good. I do wish there was more easily accessible options for me to filter jobs as I search. whatever algorithm they have suggesting the options seems to favor repeatedly presenting jobs I’ve already applied to or decided against replying to. If I’ve opened the job listing and read it and decided to close it without applying than chances are I won’t change my mind if it pops up a second time.

  30. R T dice:

This app constantly lags and every time I use it, it tells me there is no connection even while every other app works fine. I just had to exit out after trying to complete an assessment and have yet to be able to load it again, even after force restarting it after being stuck on the loading screen for several minutes.

  31. It was so easy to upload my resume and let indeed do the rest! If a job is interesting to you, just click the apply button, and indeed guides you through the process. I also like the skills assessment, as well as the other tools that assist you while using the app. I’ve lined up several interviews through the indeed message center. I’m enjoying the process instead of dreading it.Thanks Indeed!

  32. Layout and functionality is horrible! When I click on candidates and just cycles back to jobs posting list. Items and words overlap and are hard to click or read. Just overall messy. Exactly same experience when using mobile web. I can basically only use Indeed properly when on a desktop or laptop. It’s incredibly frustrating.

  33. It’s nice for seeing jobs in my area… However, I REALLY wish it was like the desktop website, where you can filter how far away you want to search for your jobs at, and fine tune the results… The app feels pretty bare bones… I wish I could recommend this app, however, the desktop site has the app beat! Will update my stars when my voice is heard, and these features come over from the desktop!

  34. Been on indeed in the past and the upgrades are a nice change of pace in finding a job. Loving the messaging features, filters, and the questions that help filter more of what I’m looking for. Highly recommend to use for anyone seriously looking for what’s out there in their area.

  35. Coop dice:

The Indeed app has actually been pretty good. In fact, I’d say underutilized by myself when taking into account that it not only has job suggestions but, the fact that once you save your resume, it will highlight matching factors/skills the posting has with what you’ve listed on your resume. it’s good about reminding you when an employee has contacted you. Plus it often asks random questions about skills that it will list for employers to see along with your resume. No issues I can think of.

  36. Good but issue with sharing posting. I shared a job posting and went back to the app and it was frozen. Had to clear recently used and reopen for it to work again. I opened the link from my suggested email if that makes a difference in understanding the glitch. It didn’t bring me back to Gmail when I hit the back button. It stayed on the same page and undid the saved job I had clicked.

  37. Michelle R dice:

Very glitchy. Half the time when you try to click on something to view details or even to apply nothing happens. I try to save jobs and they don’t get saved. This app just really doesn’t function and the developers really need to fix all the dead and broken links.

  38. Honestly, it’s a very helpful and convenient way to look for a job/career/side gig etc. especially if you have little time or are trying to find another job while working. Powerful app that makes finding jobs relatively easy. One new addition to the app includes the integration of a great widget for your fast reviewing at a glance. Try it out, if you don’t like it, uninstall.

  39. Has helped me get multiple interviews with good companies. The app itself is clean and the tests you can take to show off “skills” is very clever. It shows you for what you know and can do, not what you look like. I haven’t had any memorable bugs in about 8 or 9 months. Notifications to my phone about jobs that were just posted that I may be interested is also a great touch!

  40. Could use a visual update. It’s very hard to focus on all the plain black and white text, nothing stands out on any page. The app itself is a bit difficult to navigate. I had to search for the job title because I couldn’t find my way to where the favorited jobs end up. It would be useful if there were certain tabs like “favorited” or “recently viewed” on the home screen.
