  1. The app is trash. Constantly crashing when going to complete the order. Long loading times for simple processes. Right now I want to dash but I am just getting a blank white screen like the app is not working at all. The money is not very good to begin but now I can’t make any at all until it is working which who knows when that will be! Need to constantly close out then reopen and/or delete then reinstall to get the app to work! Very frustrating and time consuming!

  2. The absolute least stable software I’ve ever used. It progressively becomes worse. No other app on your phone will become less stable over time. Factory resets and fresh installs and new phones do not help. After a couple of shifts this software will become trash again. It is like there is an on switch for ‘trash-mode’. I’ve used this app for years on an S3, S7, S10, and S20.

  3. The gig itself is wonderful! Easy, minimal learning curve, anybody can do it. However the app is always freezing, crashing, glitching etc. at very vital times. Last time I was checking out a grocery order and the 1 item I had to deliver was feminine product with a nice tip so I’m guessing it was urgent. I put the customer 1st and drove the item to her myself. Luckily Uninstall then re install worked, continued where I left off and still got paid 👌💯 (if this happens take a pic of drop-off!)

  4. Given the huge market share of Doordash, it makes sense to have this as a tool in your arsenal, but there are issues. The app has bugs, and the integrity of the company is questionable at best. Very low base pay, a blank update screen even when you get notifications, the new “high pay” program is a mirage (did my own testing), and a saturated market of customers that don’t tip. Be cautious and be very picky with this job, and definitely pair it up with other apps for better opportunities.

    This app has significant problems. The most serious issue for drivers is that the delivery notification sound just turns off automatically and nothing I’ve found turns it back on. Sometimes clearing the cache does it… But lately that hasn’t worked. Sometimes on shop and deliver orders the barcode that the store needs to scan to enable you to use your red card doesn’t show up. You have to restart your phone, which takes time and if you’re in line with people behind you is annoying

    I’ve been a part time dasher for 3 years off and on and this app has not improved at all. It freezes multiple times during each order, kicks me off the app, and completely restarts causing me to lose orders. For a while this was my safety net when my priority job cut my hours, but it’s basically worthless. It glitches so much that it greatly interferes with orders to the point where I’m taking one order in the time it should take me to do three.

  7. Constantly crashes. Impossible to have a smooth delivery, without exaggeration. Sometimes the app pings to let you know there’s an order, sometimes it doesn’t and then pauses your dash. It’s mindblowingly hard to complete a dash from start to finish without the app freezing on each and every screen. And this is with a powerful phone, Samsung S22, with 8GB of ram and 4G network!!! It’s like the company is absolutely desperate to give up all their market share to uber eats. Absolute trash.

App just gets progressively worse, and tech support is absolutely useless since the only things they can do is trouble shooting, and then your only options are to close and restart, or delete and redownloading. Total waste of time when they can’t do anything to fix their own app.

  9. Super glitchy, constantly having to uninstall and reinstall, restart phone and app. It makes it all most impossible to use the app and complete orders. It also only works half of the time when I try to schedule shifts. I’ve called dash support multiple times to report issues I’ve had. They just tell me that I.T. department knows about the issues with the app and that they are working on it. It’s only getting worse at this point 😒

  10. Update 6 months later. App is still full of bugs. I love using this as my new job, and now make more delivering the food I used to make. But the app is horrible. Idk if it’s just a resource hog or what but it freezes and crashes all the time. It happens whenever a new order comes in or if I get any other notification. They really need to fix this as spending 10 min trying to get the app to reopen my orders constantly sucks. How is this app still not fixed? It crashes or freezes constantly.

  11. This doesn’t even deserve 1 star! 2 days and they can’t tell me why my starting location is in a completely different state. I can’t schedule or anything because all my options are for a state I don’t reside in. I’ve been sent emails with directions that don’t work. They tell me to uninstall and reinstall, done it multiple times with no change. Now I am being told there is nothing they can do and have sent my feedback forward. Don’t waste your time!

  12. When the app works it’s great. Unfortunately there are more times lately when it doesn’t. Freezing or crashing at crucial points during pickup and delivery. Orders randomly disappearing with no explanation as to why. Lagging response on navigation to customer and glitching when trying to take photos of the customer drop off location.

  13. Being able to work a flexible schedule and make money independently is a huge opportunity. That’s worth 4 stars by itself. My experience using the app has been excellent, minus some of the humans I’ve had to interact with. I’ve had difficulties finding locations because the directions given by buying users has been very poor on more than one occasion. I don’t fault the company for that, that’s just human error and is part of the gig. All around, pretty solid still.

  14. The new update is horrendous so far. Got an order, accepted it, and then headed to the merchant. On the way there, the App started having issues, and my order completely disappeared. Then I got another one for a different location. Accepted it, picked it up, and delivered it. Of course, the pay didn’t show up in my App, so had to log out and log back in! For being the number one delivery service, we should not be having these issues!

  15. The app is mediocre and unreliable, it often gives Google the wrong location. Is very slow and sometimes crashes or refuses to work. Doordash also doesnt really care about their drivers. However, when everything is going smoothly; it’s a decent way to make some cash on the side. It will also provide some income for you while you’re unemployed

  16. I recently signed up to be a dasher, and the app is great, when it works. However, I have signed up to dash (you schedule yourself in ahead of time) several times now & so far every time when I go to start dashing, the app simply won’t load. I’ve even uninstalled & reinstalled & done other trouble shooting, but the app is just extremely inconsistent & doesn’t work at the times I most need it to. I will wait, to actually dash until they fix this problem, because it’s a frustrating waste of time.

I can get over the frequent app crashes if it didn’t mess with me working… I had a previous review up but honestly the issue hasn’t been fixed and more issues came up and it’s only getting worse. The shopping features glitch out a lot, making it impossible to replace items. Some items that are kind of important to see (like holiday cards) don’t have any images, just vague descriptions. It’s impossible to schedule a dash because there is too many people, and app problems with scheduling

  18. The app has issues on any phone I use. Often times I have to take 2 pictures of the order because the first one won’t work. Sometimes I’ll get kicked out and when I go back in, it tries to say searching for orders again. Then pops up my current order some 10 seconds later. This is after I go into the app settings and force stop it before reopening it. Aside from those irritating yet minor issues, I make pretty decent money. I only work maybe 5 hours a day and easily pull in $100+. 3 stars 🤩

  19. I’ve been dashing for over 2 years and there were major issues with the app then, and they’ve only gotten worse with time. Some issues are the app crashing, orders not showing up on the app, the app not letting you complete deliveries or submit photos, or the app not loading at all. It needs a MAJOR overhaul. It’s unfair constantly getting my ratings negatively affected by things I can’t control. I would like to give my feedback so that the app can be improved

  20. You have to Uninstall it quite a bit and re-install. Usually when I contact support about an app issue, which can be anywhere from 3 to 10 times a day, all they say is to Uninstall and re-install. Which can be very frustrating when you are trying to work. A lot of times the Google portion will not work on Google maps and then you get lost getting the order to the customer. Lately, the issue has been with the app not letting you complete an order. Use waze in the background.

  21. All I get when logging in is a blank screen. It shows nothing. Ive installed and reinstalled several times with the same results. I can’t Dash since the app won’t work. I’ve also contacted customer support several times and they don’t help. It still shows a blank screen. Just awful!

  22. The first day, I was getting deliveries left and right as soon as I started to dash. The next day, I got a few. These past two days, nothing. I drove out to a hotspot for two days, sitting near a hotspot right now during lunch time and getting nothing. App is always crashing. I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall. When I reinstalled I got a text they tried to send me a delivery. Now my acceptance rate is going down bc the deliveries aren’t coming through the app. Addresses are wrong in the app

  23. This app has been awful for the last month or two. It continues to send unexpected error messages saying that they sent me an order that never reached my phone. I use to be able to access my floating widget before accepting an offer, so I could get an exact address to my pickup and delivery. Most times I am driving when offers are coming in and it is a lot safer while driving to access the floating widget than to zoom in on map. Some areas are unsafe & seeing b4 accepting an order was good.

    The app doesn’t work. Customer service, no help. When I can magically make it to the screen that lets me fill out my info, it stops on taking a picure of my face. Now, because I had to close the app, it just says continue application and doesn’t go any further. Just loads and goes back to the continue application screen where I can press the button again. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing cache, and every other thing that they asked me to do to avoid admitting the app doesn’t work.

  25. Garbage app… I can’t imagine actually having to rely on this app for income. Doesn’t work in background, so you can’t use your phone in between runs, or you just get logged out… So bad, so very very bad. Constantly pauses dash without asking or warning, freezing at least once a day, slow navigation that doesn’t zoom, or anything at all when nearing turn.. The list goes on… Working for other apps is a must, as this one can’t be reliable. Using Galaxy 22 ultra.

    Using my Z Fold 3, It works down to the bare minimum for jobs. It is NOT user friendly, resets itself every time the phone rotates, which is quite often when picking up orders. The integrated Google maps doesn’t work properly most of the time so I have to stare at the map more often than not, making it unsafe. Most of the time you can’t exit the map to deliver the order, so you have to completely close the app to get to the correct screen. Door Dash, PLEASE fix your app. This is ridiculous.

  27. Dashing is not a bad gig. I enjoyed the work. But the app is so bad right now that I’m no longer going to be a Dasher. 1. The app will work fine for the first few deliveries, but once you’ve gone more than an hour the freezes begin. To the point where I have to call the support line to get an order completed. I have a OnePlus 8 pro so it’s not a hardware issue 2. Likely due to the above performance, this app slaughters battery life. Despite being plugged in, battery still drains. Stay away plz

    Basically they’ve been having some issues with the app and I had to use them in a few years for one. And what the app is doing is you can have an order when you hit Dash along the way you get a order and you can be 15-20 minutes down the highway and then it gives you an order from the area you just left from! To get back to the main screen it goes from three different screens and then you have to go back to the beginning to actually see the order. Too much tapping while driving and an inconvenie

  29. I’ve been Dashing for a little over a month and have had no issues with app until tonight, and it was a rough one. I kept getting unexpected errors that would stop me from accepting orders. App would crash, and I couldn’t select certain options. I cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted my phone, logged in and out to no avail. It would only work if I force stopped and restarted, and that helped, but not for long. I’ve been enjoying DoorDash, shame it’s app can be unreliable.

  30. App malfunctions more than it actually works. I have to turn my phone on airplane mode and then turn it off again and then pray that the app will reset itself so I can complete my orders. Half the time the app will freeze so I can’t do anything. Especially when you’re on a time crunch and need to get to the customers house. It keeps me from seeing customer addresses, etc. The upload picture function at drop off doesn’t work anymore so I have to put handed to customer instead.

  31. Not a great experience with the app so far. Been using this app for about a 2 weeks now with my zFold3 and it runs slower than any app I have EVER put on it. Outer and Inner screen. I have to restart the app several times because it gets stuck on an endless loading screen, and when it does load, it keeps showing “you are ready to dash” screen even after acknowledging it. Please fix this app. As a new dasher, this has been a terrible first impression and I think I speak for the rest of us too.

  32. The Dasher app is genuinely one of the worst apps I’ve ever used in my entire life. I have never dealt with an app that crashes so frequently and has as many problems. I end up having to restart the app almost after every order I decline. It’s pretty funny one of the common error messages I get is “Unexpected error! You didn’t accept the delivery request in time.” I’m not really sure how this is unexpected because it happens every single time without fail. For me it’s unbelievably expected. Poor

  33. When opening the app, like for a scheduled time to work, you’re met with a loading screen that doesn’t go away. You restart the app and it sometimes fixes it. Other times you’re late for work. This also happens while working, will freak out and force close. I do like working the way I do, but I also feel that the forced phone communication while driving can be approved upon. There are times when I’m on the freeway and I have to return to the app, look at order, accept or decline, return to maps.

    Often when I start up the app it takes several minutes to load, and sometimes I have to exit out and restart my phone to get it to work. There is often a long pause when I click “complete delivery steps” and I have to click it several times before I can take a picture of the order. I can’t fully see the restaurant pickup time from the dash screen either. Also, an app outage has caused my earnings to not be shown in full, which makes me nervous.

  35. The map font doesn’t work efficiently as it hurts the eyes and you have to keep zooming in to see road names. Very dangerous as I’m likely driving when the order comes in! Things need to be bigger, bolder, smarter. I shouldn’t have to hunt down tiny details while driving. The pickup time needs to be visibly in pickup area. Otherwise, I might be late picking up orders without even realizing.

  36. Dashers should be able to address issue at restaurants. 30 minutes to make a $4 order, that’s a huge waste of time. It should be able to see that you are stuck at a place and bump the pay up. Or have a drop option if it takes more than a certain amount of time. Or if a place constantly doesn’t have the items to make an order. Or closes early. Some restaurants do these things habitually. They should be dropped from the app. Or be allowed decline w/o penalty.

  37. If I could give it zero stars I would. And I never rate apps low, but I’ve only been dashing for 2 days and I’ve had more problems with this app than all my other apps on my phone combined. Starting with pay, which it won’t let me verify what I need to verify it just keeps telling me that there’s an error. Sometimes it freezes in the middle of deliveries. Sometimes it tells you you’re in the wrong location when you aren’t. Not sure how long I’ll last

  38. App has never worked great, now it’s TERRIBLE. Multiple times a shift it will lose information on active tasks, then break entirely, so bad the only way to fix it is to reinstall, and even that doesn’t always work immediately. The state of the app is unacceptable, especially since there is zero guidance on how to troubleshoot these situations once they happen.

  39. Describe my experience? Awful. This morning I took my first DoorDash shift since the new update yesterday and my app keeps freezing. It will work fine for a few minutes and then freeze. I’ll close the app, restart it, and it’s still frozen. I’ll force stop the app and it works for a few minutes and then it freezes again. I’ve talked to support about this and they had me reinstall. It worked for a few minutes and then froze again. It’s ruining my income.

  40. I’ve worked for doordash for over a year. The app sucks when it comes to shutting down,freezing,sending orders and someone else picks it up. Deliveries WAY outside my area and the app crashes notoriously when you take a picture of the order and it won’t send because of a malfunction with the app. Other than the app itself…thankful for the job.
