Absolute Worst Customer Service. What exactly is the service fee for again? Refuse to refund in anything other than credit when items are missing from your order. After the 3rd time, I decided i didn’t want to keep receiving credit anymore and that i could wait for my refund. Should you choose the 10 day refund processing, 3 weeks later, it will never come and they will state that it’s too late to report it as if you didn’t immediately request the refund with screenshots to prove it.
Used to think the app was better than competitors but the delivery service is getting worse. There is no point ordering from a restaurant close to your location, if there’s a delivery much further away from you and the restaurant, you won’t get your food first. Target delivery times are constantly shifting goals so they’re never late, apparently. Thought these were isolated cases but it’s happening almost every order now. Prices are also higher compared to competitors, without added benefits.
So far, so great! I’ve been using this service for about 3months and I’ve only ever had one issue (no delivery driver was available). Customer service called me, cancelled my order, and also offered a 5€ voucher off my next purchase for the inconvenience of waiting and not being delivered any food. It actually felt like customer care (as opposed to a certain UE competitor). Also, I don’t think you can beat the 11€/month unlimited delivery subscription! I will update if anything changes.
Not set up in a way that you can modify food items you order (i.e. remove a topping). If you see something you want, order it or you may never get to as restaurant availability varies wildly based on day and time, even when they say they should be open. The set of restaurants called Deliveroo Editions are quite nice, but have especially bad availability and tonight the entire category has disappeared from the filters later in the day. Drivers are great, always friendly and don’t get lost.
