  1. Great app, I love all the options and filters. I do wish it had some more advanced tools, especially in the selection, refining and color but and adaptation. It would be awesome to drop color in finite areas instead of applying to the entire selection. Also, needs a more fine control on the selection tools, it’s too broad. That being said, the average user playing around with photos would find it wonderfully encompassing and very easy and fun to use!

I’ve used this app for years & I will say I have loved it & told everyone about it for 8yrs+. I just purchased a new device. I noticed the icon was different but I figured no big deal. WRONG. Some of the “corrections” are no longer free. I’ve pulled old images off various locations. Sometimes it’s old with distortions. I could fix it easily. Not anymore. The 2 options are NOW unavailable unless you pay & I won’t go into detail why that’s not an option for me. You’ve lost a long-term customer.

If you’re a professional (I sub the full Adobe line) trying to resize and photos on the go, look elsewhere. You can crop, but it won’t take until you save it, then reopen it, which is incredibly ridiculous. You can’t see how large the file size will be while saving, so it’s useless for file prep. This might be a fun app for messing around but it does not have some of the basic and simple tools a pro will need while on the go.

  4. I am a bit if a perfectionist when it comes to my photos, especially if I’m going to share them with someone, and always take a few minutes to correct for exposure/contrast/color balance before I send them. Normally I find that Google Photos’ built in editor is sufficient, but occasionally I feel that it falls a little bit short. I have used Photoshop Express for years to fill in the gap, and it usually does what I need it to. My only complaint is that the interface is a bit of a pain.

  5. While this app obviously offers lots of useful features, it seems to be missing some basic capabilities. I see no option for sorting the thumbnails in a folder, or displaying the image filename, either on the thumbnail or in the expanded view. Nowhere do I see any menu for user settings/preferences. Experimenting on the same subject with different exposures or ISO settings while bracketing each shot 3 times means you get a LOT of similar images. Seeing the filename would be so helpful.

  6. The selection tools are completely useless. What’s the point of having a subject and background selection tool if it doesn’t actually work? I can use the normal photoshop app on my PC just fine. This mobile app is just absolute trash compared and near useless. I can do much more with lesser “quality” apps like facetune and picsart. Which is ridiculous considering how advanced Adobe is.

  7. This app is no good, all it does is tone adjustments (brightness/contrast/crop type stuff). Classic Photoshop tools like layering/masking/drawing tools are nowhere to be found. If they are, it’s so well hidden that a couple hours of playing with it, I couldn’t find them. Maybe I’m just an idiot. IMO other apps, like Pixlr, do what this does much better. Photoshop for PC is still king tho.

  8. Selection tool selects fine. Could not figure out how to do anything with the selected piece. Been using PS for years, IT background, ok I have it selected, but there are no tools to do anything with it. If everything applies globally what’s the point of selection? I’m probably missing something. But if I can’t find it then your UX needs some work.

  9. This app used to allow all features for free except additional filters. They now require you to pay a subscription for even basic features. They stopped supporting old versions forcing me to update. If it were a cheap one-time payment I’d consider it. Now the app useless, it doesn’t offer features worth $35/yr or $5/mo. I’ll look elsewhere, and recommend you do too. Get a laptop or PC if you intend to do advanced editing because this app is fairly limited, even with the paid version.

The only photo editing app you’ll need. Crop, multiple filters-has all the filters even ones I’ve never seen before, adjustment-offers way more then other apps, blur section of photo for stand out image, textures for background., And a lot more I haven’t even used yet. If interested here’s a few suggestions-background eraser, layer another photo, fish eye, but it’s fine with the options you already offer, and def out weighs the others.

I use this app almost if not daily. It is easy to use fun to use and intuitive and allows you to achieve artistic photographic effects in a way that may surprise you that you’re able to. HOWEVER, it lacks a critical feature that is making me come to hate it and making it so I can’t stand it. It cannot handle RAW, PNG, DNG or TIFF. I am a professional photographer and artist. Aside from that, it’s a great app, this one is really right up there at the very top if not the top.

I bought the yearly sub to this app about 5 min after DLing it. It has so many features I want stuffed into in 1 app. My ONLY issue at this time is the fixed watermark feature (an amazing feature dont get me wrong). But I think it would be a huge improvement if you could freely move the watermark for each photo. Adjust size, placement, rotate etc. Currently I use Pixlr app for watermarking (double exposure feature) but it degrades the quality of the photo. Hope to see this implemented one day!

  13. Is this SERIOUSLY the best Adobe can do for Android? There is NOTHING, AND I MEAN ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in this app that you can’t get from any other image editing app in the play store. For what Adobe charges for access to thier software they should be ashamed of themselves. All there is to this is filters, clip art, a bunch of effects and the most basic of color, contrast, brightness and cropping features. At least the Apple version is usable.

  14. Rolo Diaz dice:

It does exactly what I needed it for, adding watermark is spot on except the cut out feature needs some improvement on edge detection, on a white background it will not detect the whole line around the image , leaving a few sections, but I’d to be expected since It can happen in full Photoshop on an intricate image.

  15. Apparently Adobe doesn’t understand their own apps. I recently deleted this app because Adobe now charges for features that were previously free to use. Best example? Can now only save edited images at 85% quality instead of 100%. Also, many of the filters that were free to use now require payment. Not giving any more explanation. Do NOT contact me!

  16. Melissa dice:

Fairly happy with the Photoshop Express app. There are enough options to make it my go-to photo editor. Unfortunately, if you pay for Photoshop, Illustrator, or Creative Cloud (as I do) full access doesn’t come free. There are free options but there’s a monthly cost to unlock their “premium” section.

  17. Great app for wasting storage. Doesn’t do anything your phone or tablet can’t do without it. I’m old enough to remember when photo editing meant more than stickers, filters, and lighting adjustments. It seems that gone are the days where photo editing includes actually being able to edit photos.

  18. App Experience changed. No good now. On my old phone the app worked great. Now it is so riddled with prompts to upgrade to premium that I cannot use it. I get it. They want me to pay for it. 8 would if it was a one time fee, but I’m not paying on a subscription basis either monthly or yearly. Not sure what version I had prior to changing phones. Maybe I paid years ago and forgot? Either way, not paying now and not usable. I can do same stuff with the free software. Just liked the interface.

  19. Downloaded with the intention of purchasing the full version of the app. They want an annual fee every year or a monthly fee. They can stick that where the sun don’t shine. I have no problem paying for my software, but I’m not paying you every year or every month for the same software. I’ll buy a photo editor program from a company that has a little couthe, instead of greedy little misers.

  20. The app is alright now. They are charging a monthly or yearly fee to have access to features that were free in the past… something as simple as downloading your photo at maximum quality or dehazing an image is no longer possible without the monthly or yearly subscription. Again this stings even more knowing it used the be free just a few weeks ago.

  21. Shine On dice:

In Editing, the “Cloning” tool appears to be arbitrary, as to which portion of the picture it uses to clone! A bit frustrating to Navigate as well. I am still learning, and as I do so, things throughout the program become more intuitive. Thank You for the opportunity to use your program.

  22. C. Andrew dice:

It’s a good basic photo editor, the word “express” in the app name does a lot of heavy lifting. PS Express is simple enough to use, navigate, and provides basic functionality like cropping, blemish fixes, color, contrast, and filter settings. More advanced features and some QoL stuff is paywalled, but not neccesary at all. Performance is meh, and ultimately desktop users will be disappointed it doesn’t do everything the full Photoshop does, but overall, it does its job.

  23. This has been convenient for absolutely basic single-photo editing and for combining photos with zero modifications, but right now I’m trying to juxtapose 2 photos and rotate one of them, and the “edit photo” functionality is just an endless spinner, Evan after a reboot. I don’t know what it’s waiting for when both photos are local files, so all I can conclude is this is basic functionality that just doesn’t work at all.

  24. If I could give this app zero stars I would. I signed up for a monthly subscription thinking it would be $20.99 per month but No!! Turns out it means it is that price for an entire year charged monthly. So not only did I get roped into this contract with these annoying people, I have to continue paying them even though I literally NEVER use this app. If I try to cancel I will be charged a cancellation fee. But I had no idea it was a yearly membership!! Don’t get this app!

  25. Kaitlyn L dice:

I use this app to edit my art. Specifically sketches, and when taking photos in artificial light, it’s left with a yellow glow. So I use this to change the saturation and make it look better. It really works. I would reccomend, if you are an artist who likes taking photos of your art the saturation feature is a must.

  26. Disappointed that I am no longer able to use without paying a monthly or yearly fee. Been using for over a year and thought the app was great. I understand charging for upgraded features or extra content to support the app, but unfortunately the app features that used to be free no longer are. I will be uninstalling.

  27. How in tf is this app costing $34?! The photo editing tools suck! The filters suck, the correction tool sucks and is confusing, it doesn’t do landscape view! And it won’t even allow you to pick a different background for your picture. Lame. If this app were free, I’d be down with it. Maybe even .99. But $34?! You’re robbing folks, photoshop, but I guess that’s nothing new. If you’re looking for a good photo editing app, try LUMI. 4.99 gets you a full year and some awesome features. 👌

  28. Better photo editing tool than most built in camera apps. My Pixel had great auto white balance with easy adjustments but it still took photos in reverse so I used this app occasionally with my last 2 Pixels. My Samsung has a pretty terrible auto white balance especially with incandescent lights…everything looks extra green. I’m sure the photos are higher quality and receive more information, they just take more time to edit to look natural. This is perfect and easy

  29. amazing, to be honest. When i first saw this app on my aser chromebook 15 I thought too good to be true, a photoshop app that actually allows you to practice without paying an arm and a leg. This app allows you to explore ton’s of creative options without paying a dime, they also give you tips on all the tools and also what they do. This app is perfict for quick image editing, as well as practice for some of us newer graphic designers. However with that said I can’t say for the mobile half.

  30. Well I took an (only) 3 day trial and only used it for 3 photos and I didn’t like it and forgot to cancel. To find out they charge $34.99!!! It’s not even mediocre in my opinion. They charged me that much and I couldn’t even get a refund. It would just freeze up the 3 times I used it. Lame. I uninstalled it after I couldn’t get my money back.

  31. Works wonderfully when it decides to (as in it barely works unfortunately). As I am trying to edit an engagement shoot, it continues to just randomly crash during edits. Half the time it can recover the image, half the time it can’t. Along with this, after I finish my image and go to the save page, it will not save my image through the gallery or through my files. I lose all of my progress. However, when I can save it, the image looks great and the editing options are wonderful and simple to use. Hopefully they can fix the crashing and saving situation soon!

  32. This app is stable, very well optimized, and the toolset is fairly decent. There’s a couple features here that I’ll be keeping this app for Now my praise ends. I didn’t experience any outright issues with using and navigating this app, but I did have a horribly frustrating time making sense of the UI. Its not intuitive, and it got in my way multiple times while editing. That, and the fact that it supports raw images but doesnt have adequate tools for developing them, are my biggest issues.

  33. Typically my favorite photo editing app, always a go-to. Lately though, I’ve not been able to save projects, even after reinstalling the app, reopening it, and doing the work over. I’ve gone as far as deleting stuff from my phone incase it had something to do with data storage; nothing. I love PSE overall, don’t get me wrong. But when it decides not to work, it really crashes and burns.

  34. It’s great and very professional! has every tool you need! The only thing that bugs me is how you can only open one photo at a time and can only select one. If you could integrate a next or previous button to see the other photos so that I could compare and move on quickly that would be amazing!! Also the app will sometimes crash and not allow me to open up projects or photos. If you could make this more reliable then that woud also be gret! Thanks!!

  35. I love this app, it edits great, quality comes out just fine, resolution is good. The only problem I have is that it takes FOREVER to load on different edits. And it’s not because of my device, its the app. I’ve tried everything, from deleting things on for space, to going from wifi to data, restarting my device, deleting and redownloading the app, and still it is slow on loading. Day after day, I have to wait forever for it to load for anything. Super annoying.

  36. Overall, it’s great, all the photoshop apps are great, but that’s the issue, there are too many apps. I can’t fo everything I need to do on one application, I have to save, export, and switch apps just to do simple editing. It would be awesome if they released an app with the features of all the apps in one, it would really help and I wouldn’t even mind if it was priced at a few dollars. Just please put the features of all the apps into one.

  37. The app is really good for editing photos and I like the collage feature. The problems I have with it are (1) you can’t shrink the images within the canvas/workarea and/or move it freely, (2) no simple layer support for backgrounds and such, (3) the device aspect ratio bounding box can’t be rotated as far as I could tell, and (4) I saw no patching, cloning, or smudge tools to correct/edit parts of images. In short, I would like a bit more Photoshop and a little less Express; some of these features are in other Adobe apps, but the bouncing between them can be troublesome. If I am missing something, my apologies.

  38. This is an excellent photo editing app. It pretty much does everything I need it to do, and possibly more. Not sure, since I haven’t explored all of its capabilities yet. I have two issues with it, though. First, whenever I try to add text it warns me that I need to choose a style first, EVEN WHEN I ALREADY HAVE. It’s annoying at best. Secondly, it won’t let me return to the home page until I save changes. Despite having already saved them to Gallery. I hate redundancy. Too much to do.

  39. This app is awesome for photo editing. So many presets to select. Add text any color, various font/styles/resizing. Corrections, lighting, so much! Simple to use. FREE and NO ADS! Note is is a photo editor, but I would definitely edit here first, then introduce photos to collage maker. Limitations, when I do a feathered border, i can’t choose the color, it chooses black or white; it has little for editing background “noise.” I can’t choose a background color for banner text either. Very odd.

  40. This is easily the best app for doing serious post-processing I have ever used on this store. For a free app, it has some amazing features. Great all-around editor. Unlike many other free editors, it allows you to save at full resolution, high quality, and to any location you want. It doesn’t do much in the way of composites but it is really excellent for making basic edits and improving the quality of your photos overall. Everyone who takes photos needs this app.
