  1. Love the app. Easy to use. Question though, is it possible to have multiple widgets with different locations? If not, I think that would be a great quality of life feature. I think it would be great to see at a glance weather in multiple locations instead of having to open the app and change locations. Edit: app appears to be inaccurate when comparing to other sources-removed a couple stars.

  2. App has been good until recently. The widgets were the reason I got this app, even paid to get rid of the ads, but lately the widget keeps glitching and resizing itself. It loses the icons for the three day forecast and the refresh button. I have to manually resize it to fix the glitch, however the food is just temporary. Sent email about it but never saw a response.

  3. The ads are extremely invasive. I can’t try it out long enough to decide if I want to keep & pay for the premium version, becuz of the ads! Every time I click on anything, I get a pop up ad that I’m forced to watch before I can even close them. There are better ways to get people to buy the premium app, like offer premium upgrades, but not annoy the heck out of people to force them to buy. All that does is force me to uninstall & find an app that isn’t painful to use.

  4. Easy to use, easy to read. Allows multiple locations to be added. The radar is helpful in watching storms approach. The indexes are extremely helpful especially for those with severe health issues. My forecasts have been remarkably accurate with just a one to two degree difference. Unfortunately my home city is listed incorrectly and I cannot place a marker at my house which is 26 miles from the city it places me in but the the app still tells me the right forcast so this is a small problem.

  5. I have installed and uninstalled no fewer than 8 free weather apps. This is bar none the best in coverage, the best in accuracy and the eadiest to use. I wish I could set my home town as a default and still add a couple other towns that I watch. Apparently I have to set each one as a default in order to view it then set my home back as the default. But that wont change my opinion of the app. Nothing is perfect. Thanks designers!

  6. Convenient and thorough. If is an app is especially good I’ll buy the paid version of a lifetime deal is offered. I got the paid version of this one within minutes. Gets to all the info by just a little quick scrolling. Go from city to city by swiping left or right. No need to keep tapping icons. The 15 day forecast is taken from the AccuWeather data. The widget has several options. My widget shows temp, today’s high and low, next three days, time, date and location.

Worst app I’ve tried so far.. turned my smartphone into a dumb phone. Very seldom is it even close to the right weather report. But it does give me two temperatures to choose from.. I guess it’s up to me to figure out which one it is. Often contradicts itself on the same screen. Definitely deleting.

This is an exceptional weather app. Worth the in-app price for an ad-less experience, although the ads were discreet and not as annoying as some other free apps. The interface is excellent and intuitive and the active radar is a nice feature. Best weather app I’ve used. Kudos to the designers!

  9. Nice little app! It’s simple to use and has a clean, fun design. The sun and moon charts are nice and the optional horoscope is a cute touch. The notification bar can be a little buggy and has a high memory use that can drain your battery. Turned it off and the rest of the app works great. Only problem is the sheer volume of third party trackers my vpn has blocked from this app. Several thousand a day (3-5k usually). Edit: Yes, you do have trackers. Google and Verison Media to be exact.

11/19/22 – 4th update. I have the paid, ads free version. A few times, after updates, I would be served ads but only briefly. I think it had to do with the update but this dev is highly responsive & fixes things quickly. I’ve been through many updates with this app and it just keeps getting better. It’s by far the best out there! I cancelled my Weather Channel app in favor of this one. I had ads free WC and they started sliding ads into the videos. Sneaky & dishonest. Get this instead!!!

  11. Nothing particularly special or unique that would set this apart from similar apps. That said, it has been solid and reliable. I have never had it lock up or do anyone unexpected. There is one annoyance, and perhaps I am missing a setting that might prevent it, but there is a small window with a sort of abbreviated summary of current conditions. It’s not an ad but it pops up and forces me to close it before I can do anything else. Very annoying.

  12. Tom M. dice:

I like the app and have the paid version. The only issue I have is with the location. When I drive to another city it doesn’t update right away and I have it set to do that. Even when I hit the manual refresh it doesn’t update. I have to go into my phone settings to turn off and back on the location setting and then hit the refresh button to get the updated weather in the city I’m currently in. I emailed the developers weeks ago and never got a response. Poor customer service!

  13. Lisa M dice:

Seems reliable but I’m frustrated by the ads that have come up just recently. Many of them are video ads that occasionally play loudly even when my phone is muted. I can’t have this in certain situations so I’m going to have to uninstall. I also have a double temperature in my notification bar that is a bit annoying. I can’t find a way to turn off this extra notification.

  14. The app works very well. I’m still getting used to the menus. They are not difficult in any way, I just forget where things are, haha. (like ‘rainfall by the minute’) Ads were not bad at all, though I did opt to purchase ‘no ads’. The ’emojis’ map cover is good for a giggle, but not much else. The widget is great. I think the app slows my phone just a tad. Other than that, this is a fine weather app.

  15. Changed review to 3 stars since not all of the features work, despite paying for the annual subscription. Informative, but it would be much better if the live radar feature actually worked. I paid for the annual subscription hoping it would work, but it doesn’t. It just stays on the same day and nothing happens when I push play. Otherwise, I love the app. It’s informative, easy to use, and pretty accurate. If the live radar worked, I’d easily give this app 5 stars!

  16. Had to change my review. First year was great. Then I paid for lifetime premium instead of yearly. It didn’t make it a year. It reverted back to ads and all the premium features were lost. I went to see about upgrading AGAIN and it keeps trying to make me pay for each of my Google accounts. Except this wasn’t a problem the first year and a half. I’ve always had 2 Google accounts. I only have apps on one account. This app keeps wanting me to pay for both accounts to have this app. I want a refund

  17. App isn’t worth $10. The widget always resizes itself. But it is better than the Weather Channel app. I am giving it 3 stars because it basically holds you hostage with ads if you don’t pay a yearly or one time fee. Pretty scummy tactics as it would make you watch an add to see the radar or weather. If you are looking for a free weather app there are better without as many ads. If you want a paid weather app there are probably cheaper ones they may or may not be better than this one.

  18. James V dice:

Ads instead of weather. After the last update, upon opening the app, you’re forced to wait while it loads an ad, often with sound, then you’ve got to search for the way to close it. When you’re looking for the weather, you don’t want to see an ad first. If that weren’t bad enough, they want you to pay to use the radar, something that’s free in so many apps. Why would anyone pay for something that’s free everywhere, especially when they continually throw surprise ads at you. Uninstalled.

  19. The graphics are marginal, at best. At first glance, the radar image is acceptable. However, if you want to progress it into the immediate future, to track potential storms, you have to upgrade to Premium! Rip off! Recently, in trying to open the app for forecasts & info, several ads, games, and other obnoxious things open first that are very resistant to close – some without even the option of closing them! This is intolerable!! I am UNINSTALLING this app IMMEDIATELY!!!

  20. This weather: Live app was my all time favorite for getting accurate weather information. I’ve deducted one star due to the app constantly urging me to update by upgrading for a fee. When navigating to different areas within the app I now get constant long playing ads. I’m a senior on a low fixed income and cannot afford to pay an upgrade fee for apps that claim to be free to use but then after awhile make it difficult to use them easily without paying an upgrade fee.

  21. Have had a couple of days. I had had The Weather Channel app for years, but it’s not what it used to be. So I’m trying to find one I like….. So far this one,.. it’s taking some getting used to.. ” WAY TOO MANY ADS” And I’ve read too many ratings on these apps where people purchase the premium and still get the ads, so I hate to waist my money on premium…. Update* I’ve had for a little while now… Would be a good thing, but for the intrusive adds. May go back to The Weather Channel..

  22. Babyface dice:

DONT PAY MONEY FOR THIS APP! Very frustrating app. I paid a year for this and I regret it big time. The radar is awful, not even close to being correct. Then I get a random pop up when I’m not even in the app 3x a day with no way to disable it from popping up. I have asked for help but non has been given. Previous review I left a different weather app that I used for years but became overrun with ad’s. I tried this app out and it’s a winner for me.

  23. Wes R dice:

The ads takeover your screen many times just while trying to use the app. Most ads are videos with sound that can be very disrupting to those around you. It is difficult to stop the ads till they finish. I was thinking about upgrading to pro because the app seams ok. But trying to use it without the paid pro addition was so annoying I think ill pass.

  24. I paid for this only to find out they hide the map key for the radar in a section called ‘Tips’ which covers the map & it might as well say “these colors means high (70°F) & these colors mean low, you figure it out”, & the key doesn’t even stay on screen while you’re trying to use it as reference…. then you also have barely any info on humidity and dew point which is ridiculous to for a weather asking for $10 for no ads … the only plus here is that you get okay options for widget background.

  25. Fine until the ads appear everywhere The app has great features and is vibrant. However, now when you open it, you are hit with an ad. I understand that they are paid this way and if you click on a different section, an ad pops up but to have it when you open it up, it is over the top.

  26. I have tried many weather apps. Most do not update location and/or conditions. Devs always say it’s my phone settings. I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I can operate my phone and select the correct settings. This app is flawless and updates when it should. I am very happy . Thank you for a wonderful and useful app AND for being honest and delivering what you promise 🙂 Update 9/25/22- The latest update is awesome! Crisp new look and app is very responsive. Super easy to see all info

  27. It would be nice if I could actually get the weather for my city!! When I try to edit, your map shows no major Chicago suburbs!! No setting to have the weather automatically show on my phone starting at a specific time. If I want to check the weather, I have to open the app!! Seriously considering going back to WeatherBug. At least their app is more advanced and has more options!! The ONLY thing you have going for you is that you show 15 days instead of 10 days!!

  28. Nick dice:

It’s not a bad app but storm warnings seem pretty delayed. I don’t know if this is a typical delay or the app extending it. I get them after the storm passes… Also, the map (with pink and yellow rain colors) always freezes when I zoom out or move around too fast and I have to restart the app. This happens everytime I use the map, not occasionally. I’m considering looking for a new app because of this.

  29. WARNING: Adware disguised as a weather app. The devs need to get paid, I get that, but every time I tried to go back to the main screen after viewing the forecast the app would play a long, offensively loud video & try to sell me the ad-free version before letting me switch. That’s ridiculous. I’d originally intended to buy it, but after repeatedly having to close the app to stop the ad from playing I uninstalled it instead.

  30. Ads are minimal. easy to read, nice presentation. includes dew point, and barometric pressure, easy to find btw. barometric pressure rise or fall rapidly can cause me headaches so its important. The real “humidity” refers mostly to the dew point. what is comfortable and what is verge of tropical. Tropical is only good for me on vacation! It AC for me! This app is a win!

  31. GT Llamas dice:

I paid the fee to upgrade. It worked without ads for 2 months and then the ads returned. I tried reinstalling and clearing anything I can clear. It always comes back to requesting that I pay again to remove the ads. I have contacted the developer and they are not responding. Play store isn’t being helpful either. I have never written a review but I’m doing so now so others will consider carefully spending the money to upgrade this app.

  32. Un-necessarily intrusive ads. Completely stops whatever I’m doing. Takes up the whole screen. Sometimes even has a 5 second counter before I can close it. Ridiculous. Everything else is good so far. But those ads. Un-acceptable and extremely annoying. Reply to Developer: If it changes to something like a banner at the top that’d be a lot better. I wouldn’t mind that at all. But stopping what I’m doing for 5 seconds when all I’m checking in the app will take me 5 seconds is ridiculous. I will stick around for a change since so far your app is better than the weather channel app. Updating to 3 stars since you guys took the time to respond.

  33. It’s ok so far. Visually appealing BUT there is a lack of contrast + really small text for the hourly forecast that makes it almost impossible for me to read. I also have the same notification issue as another review mentioned. A constant notification that I like and an occasional extra notification that I don’t need. They seem to go together. Finally, no way to contact developer through the app, had to come here to find the email.

  34. Bob May dice:

The application live up to the review about its accuracy and efficiency and it’s good. I didn’t know so many weather apps were off base and not very reliable. I like the radar on this. Good information for drive times to and from work relating to weather conditions. It gets annoying asking me to pay money for the premium service. I’m considering it it’s that good but still annoying….

  35. This is an excellent app. very accurate. And I love the artistic layout of everything it makes it very easy on the eyes and gentle to read. I think we have all kind of gotten to where the need for dark modes and blue light glasses has become essential. So to see a nap that sticks with the cool colors that makes it easier on the eyes is refreshing.

  36. I have been trying to find a straight forward alternative to The Weather Channel. So far this seems good. The ads are annoying (this was expected) but the paywall to remove them is cheap compared to TWC, which is good. There aren’t any annoying stories to deal with just straight forward weather. Widgets are clean and informative. If the weather is accurate I will be pleased with it, we will find out. I docked 1 star because the location search is terrible, that’s my only complaint thus far.

  37. Fox Cole dice:

I love all the features of this app, and the location is pinpoint accurate, even down to the city neighborhood (like Uptown in Minneapolis). The weather forecast is equally accurate, as reliable as any forecast can be. I fired The Weather Channel because it couldn’t run properly on my new phone. I have no problems with this one!

  38. Ads are a nuisance, but if you can spare the money for the full thing, it is a great app for showing hourly temps and less common items like dew point, UV index, air pressure, and most important: weather alerts! My favorite part is having the current temperature in my notification bar and widget on my home screen. Also, if you scroll all the way down, it has updated COVID-19 case numbers for your county, state, and nation.

  39. I just downloaded this weather app recently, and it’s fast becoming my go to weather app. I really like the single screen display format which not only shows the current weather at a glance; but also displays the wind speed, UV level and current air quality, along with local sunrise and sunset times. Kudos to the developer(s) who designed this app–it’s great!! It has all the weather information I need in a concise, easy to read format.

  40. Baffled by the high reviews. The ads are unbearable. I cannot add a city via search, NO US city comes up when I search not even very major cities. It just tells me the weather and forecast for whatever town I happen to be in and that is it. Maybe that’s a glitch, idk, but even if it can be fixed, I can’t tolerate these ads when there are plenty of free weather apps without so many. Ridiculous, not worth it.
