I’m hooked on this game. The time limit makes it challenging. You gotta prepare and think fast. The overall concept of the game is unique and innovative. I do have one complaint. There are some booster cards that are basically cheating. A few of my opponents placed these cards and got a ridiculous score, winning the game. There was no way I could beat them. Some cards are fun and useful in a balanced, fair way. But people who play those boosters play with no skill and win.
This game is a very fun one, but there are some things that I’m begging you guys to fix. The game glitches, freezes and it’s very slow- not most but all of the time on any device I download it on. It’s very annoying and it gets to the point where I have to leave an ongoing game because I can’t even move my letter tiles because of the glitching and freezing. I enjoy this game but until this is fixed I refuse to waste my time playing it because I would have to leave half of the games I join anyway
Fun gameplay loop and all but quality of life is a bit abysmal with how slow selecting and oepning packs of story parts is. Tapping repeatedly for the slow animation and clank noise. Then you have to open each character separately to clear their notifications. Forcing me to watch ads always works. Yet when I chose to watch an ad for a reward it crashes the game, putting me on ad cooldown and not even giving me my reward. It’s complete BS.
I used to love this game. Had a subscription. In the last few months there are so many glitches and performance issues I am done with the game. Opponents boosters constantly not showing what was actually played. Example: opponent looks like they play one booster but another was actually played. When you tap on an opponent’s played boosters what shows and what booster it says when tapped are different. It makes it impossible to play the game fairly.
Worst game ever. I want classic Scrabble. It was impossible to skip the tutorial despite the fact that I know how to play it. I got queued against random players even though the only reason I downloaded this stupid thing was to play with friends. The time limit makes it hard to think and the cards run the skill aspect of the game. I got frustrated within 10 minutes, NO THANK YOU.
I love this game. It’s sometimes really challenging. I like the events because sometimes the easy levels are hard to beat too. I love that you can request your friends to play it & earn points for having them download the game… I wonder if you could add more words to the game that you are allowed to play like for example I tried to play the word “city” or “toes” but the game would not allow it for that turn…. However I have about 5,000 coins I don’t know how to spend? Maybe in an update you could allow us to buy boosters or tile styles with coins & not just gems?
I’m having the same problems as most others. When in game mode the tiles go crazy. Can’t move them at all, then you can for a while and then it starts over again. Today I lost a few plays trying to make a word but couldn’t do anything with the tiles and time runs out. And I’m tired of playing people who have up to 12 boosters, YES 12. Sometimes 9 or 10. I have screenshots to prove it. It’s good to have improvements in a game, but come on… y’all are going crazy coming up with so many booster
I been playing this game for about 3 years or more…its very entertaining I really love it a lot. But lately there have been a lot of glitches in the games for example my boosters are just disappearing (as if I played them but didn’t) during games my turns are being skipped. And this is just a few things. But other than that I really do love the game and enjoy playing it. Hopefully the few problems are fixed.
I managed to get up to 2000 and since have been downhill. I’m still playing at a great level, but the game crashes and takes points over and over again. Not a very fair game. Looking for a different scrabble game but I do enjoy it its addicting, wish it worked with less crashes, probably time for a phone upgrade too.
Love the game! Great challenges and love the fact that you can play friends. The only issue that I have come across is that on the challenges, where you play the computer, sometimes the timer doesn’t start, so you have to exit the game. You can’t re-enter the challenge without purchasing tickets or waiting 12 hours to play again for free.
I really like the concept of the game…but my experience with playing wasn’t a good one..I thought it was because I didn’t have much memory left on phone ..but that’s not the case I’m having the same trouble on another device and it is so aggravating because some of your ads kick me out of game and then the lagging is horrible. If you fix the game it would be great. Ok I re downloaded it again did the update and it’s freezing lagging ..it’s worse now. I really like the game I wish it would work
Used to love this game, but I’m about to cancel my subscription and uninstall the game! There are so many glitches, it’s ridiculous! Besides freezing ALL the time, the game closes out every single time I use certain boosters, like when I try to use the magic mirror booster twice. Then, what’s even worse, every single time I’m in a tournament and win a game, it still marks out a loss and ends up causing me to lose the tournament. I’m done wasting coins, gems, and most importantly, my money!
Love this game! But frusurating when I get instant messages, and if I answe them while playing it takes me out of the game without getting back in! Starting over is a pain all the time, especially when winning! I hope this can be fixed! Then I’ll give it a 5 star rating! I love when we play it’s instant feedback…an instant game. I hate waiting for mins., hours, or days for our apponent to take their turn! So nice this game gives two options.
I have been the ultimate scrabble player for the last forty five years, since the age of ten. I was enjoying it immensely even with all the competitive cards you all though of. The others I have battled with also agree that the new version has made the game less enjoyable. When the site itself invites you to play someone, who is actually not even on at the moment, that takes away the thrill of winning or losing to someone you can actually chat or text with. I have read the other comments, and I was relieved to see I was not the only one disappointed. If possible, have the game itself ask the person playing if they prefer it this new way, and have the user choose their playing preference. Thanks for you time.
I enjoy the game and the only booster I think is fair is the change your letters. I pride myself on figuring out a word and the most strategic place to play it. Playing against people who let the computer place a word, alter the value of tiles, OR, the very worst one, lock their opponents letters, is frustrating and frankly, cheating. I win far more games than I lose, without using any boosters, but I think It’s time to move on to more traditional Scrabble game.
Awesome Scrabble Like Game! The cards are lots of fun. the gameboard is just the right size. I really like the way the developers and designers put this game together. The only cumbersome part is the way playing with friends works… I understand the reasoning for waiting between turns, but it would be great to also have a “live” game mode between friends that works like the regular game mode or even a friend tornament mode.
I’ve played this for a couple of years, and I love it! Keeps my mind sharp throughout the day. However I have been having an issue with the game not updating, the app info matches with the Play Store info (1.15.2), but I haven’t gotten the win streak update or the Spring event. The latest News I can see in-game is from March 10. I’ve tried clearing data, cache, uninstalling/reinstalling twice but no success.
Bug alert: Lottie Looter is not playing her tiles. She has the first move and I’ve been waiting for 15 minutes. ***3/16/21 update: Crashes frequently. Can you make me a winner whenever the game in progress suddenly crashes? Game crashes all the time even while it’s my turn. And then I lose the game after the crash. Also, the “Lost Connection” shows all the time and it undoes the tiles I just played. Not cool.
‼️THERE’S AN ENERGY BAR‼️The game is awesome and doesn’t bombard you with ads literally every 5 seconds, but out of 60 lightning bolts, it takes TWENTY to play ONE game, and it takes FOUR hours for an empty bar to fill back up -_- Yes, you can watch an ad to play for no bolts but you still only get 4 games per bar if you also watch an ad. Yes, you can pay to have unlimited energy, but thats not a one-time-done offer. Other than that, the game looks beautiful and is really fun.
I used to love this game but lately it keeps glitching and half the games are lost. I also don’t like that I’ve been playing for so long but yet new players have more boosters than I have. Also, when people leave the game they should lose. Now if you make a great first move, the opponent leaves and you have to WAIT the entire game or forfeit and lose. Just not what it used to be! 😔
Love this game, but the Ads are so irritating. I play many games with ads with no problems. This game the ads are always 30 – 45 seconds after every single turn!!! Could be a game changer for me, just drives me nuts! I do love being able to play in the tournaments when no friends waiting though.
It was a lot of fun until the game started to freeze up on me constantly. It says “connection lost, trying to reconnect” even though my internet connection is at full strength. Usually by the time it decides to start working again I’ve already lost my turn. I did enjoy it for about two days until this started to happen every single time I try to play. I’m going to give it another day but if this issue continues I’m deleting this garbage.
The game itself is great and I have lots of fun with it. Everything outside of playing an actual match is just annoying. Claiming rewards takes forever with the little animations each time, ads after every match (literally faster to restart the app after match), needing to replenish energy constantly, and really all the pay to play microtransaction elements really bog the game down. But I guess those are just average features of mobile games. From that perspective it is a decent mobile game.
I like that the game is challenging but the app either has gameplay issues or it’s programed to cheat. Several times during games, the app wouldn’t let me place tiles on the board before my time ran out. Also, each player gets five moves. Many times I was only able to move four times and lost to my opponent as a result.
There is not a report button anywhere in the game. I have discovered several bugs while playing, but I have no way to report anything. Please add another option for when your opponent is there, but not playing. It’s very annoying to be forced to sit and wait for every turn of theirs when they clearly aren’t playing. But if I resign, then I lose? If a player does not play anything for 2 turns they should be automatically withdrawn from the game.
I’ve become addicted to this game. I’ve tried other scrabble style games but this is so much better because you can see your opponents movements, you can’t see what the tiles are but you know if they are headed where you want to play. Love the sound effects…but it drives me crazy that words I know are real they won’t take and other words just can’t be real. Still love it.
An addictive game for sure, with exciting game play, however there are a few issues. First and foremost this game is aggressivly pay to win, and is looking to squeeze every player for the maximum. If you want any chance of winning a tournament, it will not be cheap. Skill doesn’t matter that much in this game because the power up cards are super strong. Another big issue is that going first is a major disadvantage in this game. The center square should be a double word bonus tile. Although it’s probably tricky do to the power ups. If the devs would ease up a bit on price of playing and winning, and balance the game at bit more I’d give it a 5.
Game has too many technical issues! It won’t accept word even when you have time left. You end up losing because your opponent takes your spot. You are down a turn and down the points for that round and your opponent scores points they wouldn’t have gotten. And while most games offer free stuff when the app screws up, this one doesn’t. 2/13 – I have been in touch with support. Or I was… haven’t heard anything lately. 2/16 – Checked spam. No email. Still having the issue. Sent email again.
Memory requirements??? I love this game, but it is constantly booting me out of the app. I’ve tried uninstalling, updating, even tried on a different phone and it keeps kicking me out. I made the mistake of updating the app and I haven’t been able to play ever since. Frustrating. Update: Yeah. I got another phone and it finally works! Haven’t been booted out! Finally! Think it was because I didn’t have enough memory. It should let us know what the memory requirements are!
I like this game . It’s fast paced and it keeps you on your toes. What I don’t like is the bonus cards . You can get bonus cards that turn all the bonus tiles to triples, freeze time or add points to tiles. I’d rather just play. That’s like passing cards in spades with your partner. You might as well cheat. It’s still fun. I’ll give it that so 4 stars.
they tried replying as if this is a technical issue. To put a newbie player that has no power-ups that are any good with somebody who has had double your words power ups isn’t a technical issue it’s a treat your new players like garbage issue!They give you boost like stall the game for 30 seconds or add 1 point to 1 tile, and tie you up with an opponent that has double your score, and add 10 points to your next word. Not really a fair game. Something I would never ever play again!
Update: One con: No way to opt out of ads 100%! In addition, the price should be affordable. Most gaming apps’ opt out (ADS) price is :$1.99 to $3.99 for 100% opt out for ads permanently, not monthly. I refuse to pay 4.99 every month for no ads. Most apps charge a one time fee 1.99 to 3.99 to opt out of ads 100% PERMANENTLY while you all ask for 4.99 a month (that’s not PERMANENT that totals to just under $60.00 a year). I wouldn’t mind paying a one time charge of $4.99, but not monthly.
This is a Scrabble type game with turn timers and special abilities. It adds a level of strategy. The app can be fun but it doesn’t sometime recognize and accept common words (eg geo, ai, geist, pad, sai, reh, zen etc) and other words are allowed that should not be (eg librarie, chet, etc). This can be frustrating. My final complaint is that the limit on game energy is annoying. Games with your friends should be free and not limited to only 10 open at a time.
There seems to be an issue or glitch with the points (losing and earning) when I lose I constantly get 20, 17, etc point taken while when I win I only get 9, 12, etc. This has been occurring over the past week when it used to be I would lose less than what I would earn. I don’t get how the points are assigned. A little clarification would be much appreciated.
I loved this game and played it daily until today. Now you can longer play friends live like you used to and now have to use energy to play friends. It is super annoying having a 30 second ad after every single round you play with a friend too. Please put it back the way it was!!!!!!! And if it is now using energy to play with friends at least let those games count toward the daily challenges!
This game is really fun and nearly perfect. The only issue is the balance. If you go first you are at such a big disadvantage that you are nearly guaranteed to lose. Basing on the point system power ups and layout of the board. Going first is basically a forfeit.
Good game but a little unfair how players use boosters to slow down opponents. Boosters for own advantage is ok but locking letters from opponent is silly. Not everyone has those boosters let alone using them for a fair play. Maybe during match making there should be a criteria that both players have the same boosters unlocked. Also I have issues with the time limit. I usually finish forming my word quickly but have to wait ages for the opponent to submit the word. Maybe you should put some points as rewards for quick submitting. E.g 5 points for submitting within 10 sec. 2 points within 15 sec etc. This way the players will be motivated to hurry a lil bit ’cause this game consumes a lot of time.
It could be a little faster. I mean the game. But opponents could be faster too. And the bonus cards are too ineffective. There should be a card for 3 triple bonus spots and more cards for spots or letters. And the cards that give your tiles more points don’t/can’t make a difference in winning a game very often. This is my new favorite game! i love the scrabble like play but with only 5 rounds. I love the additional bonus cards you can accumulate and the different added advantages they give you. the only thing I dont like is having to pay to continue playing solo play. unless of course you dont mind waiting at least 10 hours in between turns. other then that I would put this game as my new #1!.PS. 1 other thing i would change is being able to say more to my opponents. I love the feature though
Good mind stimulation as well as relaxing. Occasional glitches, such as losing service in the middle of a game or when an opponent uses the New Start booster. Even if I did have that one I wouldn’t use it. It’s stupid and not in the spirit of the game. The other boosters are strategic. I immediately resign when anyone plays that booster.
