Strava depends on GPS for recording activities. In some devices, the GPS does not work properly and Strava will not record effectively. If your Strava recordings show poor location estimation behavior, please try to update the operating system to the most recent version. There are some devices which have consistently poor performance with no known remedies. On these devices, we restrict installation of Strava, for example the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 and the Galaxy Express 2.

I run on remote trails, 600 – 700 miles per year. This app only seems to track my activities when I’m in a well populated area. The app “recovers” from errors at least 50% of the time. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling more than once. Tried closing all other apps and leaving only this app open. It still crashes or doesn’t record my distance properly or both. I would give zero stars if I could.

I’m getting prett sick of it automatically shutting off in the middle of a run. Over the last week, sync from Samsung watch to app doesn’t match on the timestamp. It’s saying my activities are occurring about 5 hours in the future. Shows actually in my watch, but wrong on the phone app. Customer service has been pretty useless in fixing this.

Really love the app, excellent concepts and inspirational sensory data that overall motivates me to get out and exercise. My only complaint is that it doesn’t have a skateboard as an option in the record categories and everything imaginable is covered except for and it would be greatly appreciated if you could have a heart for an ocd soul that has to record under bike or snowboard when I skate lol Skateboarding is not a crime. Much love….

Just another app that expects you to pay a subscription forever just to run it on your hardware and data plan. No thanks! Google Maps and Google Fit are the industry standard and are free, so I’ll just stick with those. Yes, I realize this is what “all” the fitness apps are doing, but it doesn’t make it right. It should be a one-time fee for the app. Uninstalling (just like I did all three others).
