Update.. minus 1 star. This app is so glitchy! Rarely am I able to play without having to close and reopen the app at some point. There are programming aspects that are annoying as well.. such as an area where you collect rewards, you have to repeatedly tap the button to get it to open. I have a love / hate relationship with this game. Like everyone else has said.. ads pop up after every few turns, as well.
1/9/23 update. Made the mistake updating the app. Since all they care about are ads, they are now over the scores of the game. I guess I have to keep score on paper to know who is winning now. Negative stars if able. Played this game for many years. It’s getting worse everyday. There is way too much going on in a simple yahtzee game. Constantly freezes, unplayable right now. Too many animations for no reason. Redundant clicking to continue. Scale it back and maybe it won’t freeze all the time.
If you love ads, this is the app for you! Is your 2nd favorite thing frozen screens? Well then, you’re in for quite a treat. You used to be able to roll 4 times before you got an ad. Now you get an ad after your 3rd roll! There’s even an ad that will block your score that won’t even dissappear when you click on it. If for some crazy reason you don’t like ads, you can make the ads stop for only $96/year. What a bargain. Edit:They fixed the screen freeze problem.
Can’t even play the game anymore. After the last update, I can’t even get past the home screen before it freezes then crashes. Normally, every time an add pops up, it crashes the game. now I can’t even get that far before it crashes . This game isn’t even fun to play anymore. It amazes me how this app has been unstable since I started playing the game years ago, yet no update has ever fixed this issue and it just keeps getting worse and worse. Listen to your consumers and fix this POS app.
I left a review almost 4 years ago about how the game is intentionally created to be difficult to win without spending money but now there’s ads that interrupt your games on top of it! I will go to click “roll dice” and will be clicking on an opened ad instead! And there’s no way to get rid of the ads!? Some games have it to where any purchase will get rid of ads but there’s nothing like that with this game. Uninstalling again!
Game started out fun. Now it constantly freezes with to many games opening in the app its self. Adds block game play and you have to close the game and re open it in order to do anything. I was “selected” to take a survey that took approximately 20 minutes in order to improve the game with a promise of a reward. Reward never came. I have never left a review on a game before so hopefully that holds some weight to the importance of this game needed improved. I would not recommend this game
I enjoy playing this game, but it has way too many bugs. It lags SO much and it gets really frustrating. I should be able to relax and play the game not stress over it. I wanted to keep it, but I can’t deal with the slowness of it and how much it lags that it literally messed up my derby match multiple times. I can’t stand it. Find another yahtzee game everyone unless you’re more patient with the long lag time than best of luck to you.
The one thing that’s holding this game app back is the glitching caused by ads. I get that you need to cover costs and that’s why there are so many ads but at minimum you should remove ads during launching the app & the home screen. I shouldn’t have to close out & reload multiple times before I can even play. Also, you need to add a delete message option in game cause I have a feeling all those messages adding up is causing issues.
Constantly crashing, or just changing over to another completely different game (usually home escapes) a long with way to many ads that will pop up even in the middle of trying to take a turn. Don’t waste your time or energy attempting to play this game, you’ll only grow frustrated and angry with it… Just install one of the off named versions because this one is a POS!!?!?
**UPDATE: I recently did an update bc I was having issues with it freezing up. Not able to back out. And causes you to forfeit the game near the back or home button. Also, where it says free roll. It never happens. And its dtill freezing up** game!! My friends and I were on 3 way calling playing since the whole COVID thing.. It was so much fun. Almost like sitting at the table playing the game with them. Lol
I love this game. The reason for such a low rating is it is very expensive. They charge too much for extra dice and you need them for basically everything. Also i have spent a ton of money to win rewards. A lot of the time the rewards are coins and I have about 40,000. Since I’ve already bought everything you can with coins, they are worthless and at the end of the month, you just lose them all. So essentially, I’ve won a lot of nothing. Kinda scammy on their part.
Love the game but ads after every 2 rounds are too much. Some ads go to the site even when you hit the X, not cool. So now you have more ads that cover up the names and scores of who you’re playing, while you’re trying to play them. Now that’s just stupid. I think you have really overdone the ads now. It was bad before!
It is a cool game, and they take the tahtzee game to new levels. The problem is they sell out the player to the advertisers. Once you play for a bit, you then will only get to play once ever few hours, then ever roll you have to contend with super aggressive ads, that sometimes you have to close out of the app to escape. Then if you try to play with people online, no one ever finishes their games, or even plays. They’ll accept you playing with them, but will go mia afterwards.
This game is set up so you can basically never win. I’m not talking about the dice being rigged – there are all sorts of mini games where you earn points or coins or something to progress toward prizes and there’s a goal with a grand prize at the end. But the mini games only last a couple days so it’s virtually impossible to reach the end before the game totally resets. This game is fun, but I’m starting to lose interest because I never make any progress toward an achievable goal.
Ad content makes the game horrible to the point of being unplayable. After every 2-3 dice rolls, an ad pops up and interrupts play for 30-60 seconds. There are also constant Google banner ads that block the player scores at the top of the screen. Can’t see anything about the score, can’t dismiss the ad. Can’t even open the game w/o splash screens. I want this game to be fun, but it’s not. It’s infuriating and annoying.
The game itself is fun, however, there are ads after literally every 3 rolls I’ve counted each time and it’s every time. I close out the game every time an ad comes on and reopen it, it’s annoying. And now even more ads! Because you can no longer see your scores as they have permanent ads on your scores, you already have money, why make it miserable to people who want to play your game by adding permanent ads on their scores.
Really annoyed that I can’t exit out of tutorial stuff. Every single time I open the app, it takes several minutes to walk me through “you unlocked the prize pass, let’s go start a buddy game” (which I never end up playing because the tutorial has me leave the match). I like the dice world section, and I like the twists they add to make the game feel fresh and interesting. But there’s so much other stuff going on — tournaments, collections, events, families– it’s just too much.
I really liked this game at first, but like all the other reviews stated, it keeps freezing up because of all the ads. I can’t even get the game to load half the time. I do not have this problem with my other games. Real close to dumping it! I am done with this game! When you start posting political ads on a game its no longer relaxing! Really, NBCU ad! Bye! Bye!
I love Yahtzee, the game that is. Super fun and I love how the app offers interesting new takes. But the app is ultimately ruined by the sheer amount of ads. It’s very annoying and often interrupts game play making it unplayable at times. I understand why it has ads, the team obviously needs to make a profit somehow, but the amount is crazy. It’s sad since the game itself is pretty good.
I used to love Yahtzee. This game has made me hate it. The ads are relentless. Every other move triggers an ad. The tick tock ads are the worst. They’re all super long ads and most of them NEVER go away. You have to close the app and reopen it to get rid of the ad. It’s a pain in the a$$. Although you will occasionally win 1 dice, for the most part all you win will be points and jewels THAT CAN’T BE USED FOR ANYTHING EVER. All of the ads alone will make you crazy.
Fun game with lots of interesting options to play, but the ads have ruined it. A recent update has infested the game with ads. Ads that cover the game scores, which are a nuisance and ads every few rolls. To top it off, to get rid of ads, it’s a subscription of $7.99 a month!? I’ll keep my money and possibly my time by uninstalling this.
I’m playing this game to earn rewards in another game I play. This is, by far, the worst designed most confusing game ever. If I can get to a yahtzee game, it’s fun. However, there is so much extra nonsense at every turn. Pop ups with new tutorials and collectables etc and it’s just overwhelming and confusing. On top of that, several times if I hit ‘play,’ ‘continue,’ or even watch an ad for an extra roll, the game literally does nothing. It doesn’t process aything and softlocks.
It started out great, game play was good with a lot of options to keep things interesting, and the app worked well. Then after my first few days with no ads, I suddenly stayed getting them, which would’ve been annoying but understandable. Unfortunately, the ads cause the game to crash so much it’s almost unusable. Ad banners often block the scoreboard on the game. As a prize from an event that was ending, I won 40 bonus turns (the dice) and never got them. It started fun but not anymore.
Absolutely love this game. As I’m super hooked now. Still love this game!! Gave it another 2 stars, which it deserves. But still having issues receiving rewards, and the bugs are still pretty bad. Still an awesome job guys 11-20-2022 There still seems to be a huge issue with the game freezing up. I’ve actually lost game play on a few games of Survivor. It only happens after I have to watch the ads after each turn I take. Absolutely love playing this game, and I’d hate to get bored with it
TOO MANY ADS! I have several other games and they don’t force ads like this game does. I also don’t like that now ads constantly appear at the top blocking the score. It’s annoying. I used to have problems with the game freezing or being told bad connection. I no longer, or at least so far, have either issue since getting a new phone. Just odd this is the only game that ever said connection problem.
I love the game amd i can deal with ads, but about every other time I’m watching the ad, it freezes and I have to manually close the app and restart. Usually making me lose my score in the game I was in the middle of. Very close to Uninstalling forever. Would even pay a few bucks for an ad free version but that’s not an option. Please fix the freezing.
Very fun game, fun little game modes. But always feels like my childhood coming back whe. Ever I roll a good set. But… And this is a big but. Ads out of nowhere. Played this for a little while and no ads came up unless selected, now it comes up after almost every roll. Very frustrating and annoying. And I am sure they make plenty of money from the in app purchases that this shouldn’t be a thing. And if they don’t, maybe lower prices a little and I am sure it will change a lot. Edit: more ads!!
This game really is so frustrating anymore. First, you get an ad video turn. Secondly, commonly after an ad is over, the dice freeze and you have to restart the whole app in order to fix it. Third, when this game wants you to lose a game, you best believe it’ll make you lose and won’t even get you anywhere close to what you need for one whole game. It’s super frustating when the AI is automatically determined to win before you even start the match. I’m definitely switching Yahtzee games
Game freezes in the last few months. Ads have increased in frequency & length. Banner ads cover scores. Ads have the “closing” X on the top right, but… it’s part of the image… scammy. It used to be such a great game, now it’s just frustration. There is a balance between making a profit (which you should) and providing software customers can easily enjoy… unfortunately that is no longer the case so I will be hitting uninstall.
At first this was an easy going game. The ads were not long or too intrusive to play. But then there were banner ads popping up at the top of the game and I could not click them off making it impossible to use the buttons to go back a page as well as not see the scores. There is no way to get a message to support as I keep getting the run around with that stupid help bot. I’m not wasting anymore time with a frustrating game. Moving on.
The game started out fun and entertaining. Then it started freezing everytime I play. The game goes to add then returns to frozen dice. This happens every session. Also the app now lays ads overthe top of the game so you can’t see the scores. The ads also cover the closing X and the back arrow so you can’t close screens. I have had to shut down the game multiple times to get out of screens since the ad prevents you from doing anything.
i love the gameplay on this app, and i’ve been playing it on and off for probably about 3 years now. so many mobile games have so many ads i’ve begrudgingly made peace with working around them. but now! every misclicked ad leads to an autodownload. i have had to delete 7 apps in the last hour and there is absolutely no way to turn it off. i have scoured the internet for answers and all i’ve learned is that apps have to individually allow for this and there is no way to turn it off no matter what
I have played this game for years vut it has lost all of the fun due to excessive ads and constant freezing! When there is an ad every 20 to 30 seconds, that is excessive! I play lots of games that have nowhere near the amount of ads in this game. You have to watch 4 or 5 of them just to get through one phase of a tournament. And now, EVERY SINGLE time you get through an ad, it freezes up and you have to close out of it and get into it again. A fun game turned terrible!
Deleting after this post. Can’t play a single turn because it keeps glitching & closing out the app! It’s the only app on my device that does this . The ‘ads’ have become so overwhelming that the program can’t handle all the popups and links. Impossible to play anymore. Not only are there multiple ads every play, (when I was able to play a turn) but now the ads cover the score so you can’t see what you need to beat your opponent. My daughter has the paid version & keeps closing on her also!
Good interesting concept twist on just the basic game of Yahtzee. Unfortunately the game is very buggy and has constant lockups. These happen most frequently when launching the app from notifications. A splash screen for something in the game pops up in front of the main screen and you cannot get it to close. It also locks up while rolling dice at times as well.
I am so close to deleting. I made the decision to pay for a month to see what it does for performance. Folks, you are literally paying for the game to not have ads interrupt your games. There’s a handful of other perks, but nothing great enough to remember. Now, instead of freezing during the apps, it just freezes somewhere else more consistently.
I went almost five days with no ads at all. All of a sudden in the past hour I have gotten ads EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I. HAVE. ROLLED!!! It has driven me to the point of unistalling the game. After every roll the game freezes for at least five seconds. On top of this I feel like there is WAY to much going on. To many side games and quests. It’s annoying. All I wanted was to play basic Yahtzee, but instead I’m getting all of this other stuff shoved in my face. Time to give a knock off a chance.
They show ads randomly in the middle of a match. Most app games have ads at the beginning and end of any given match. Also the fact that it’s random makes it very hard to think and make a plan in your head because you’re constantly being Interrupted. I’m talking like 4 or 5 ads in the course of a match that takes a couple of minutes. Horrible. Horrible.
Ive been playing this for quite a while now. In the beginning I was really enjoying it but it has just gotten awful performance wise and also the number of ads throughout game play is ridiculous!! The game CONSTANTLY glitches/freezes. I have had to force shut down the app literally 5…6…7 times in a row after only just opening up the app!! Fix this or I’m deleting the app. It’s most definitely not worth the frustration EVERY time I play!!
I want to like this app and I remember using this app a year or so ago and it being a lot of fun. I was a pretty high level when I quit playing and that was due to me not wanting to spend any more money in it. Now it’s just awful. Probably every 2 or 3 turns there’s an ad. Its constant, annoying and honestly infuriating. I’ve searched and have found no way to even pay to remove the ads. There’s another app called Yahtzy…yes spelled incorrectly. Go play that. No ads.
