So far, this has been great. I have yet to find anything that I could not add to the database to allow the various ways our characters have drifted from the norm. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to import new icons. For example, I added barrels to the items list (because we have some! don’t ask) Be very cool to give it a barrel icon. But that is a small want.
Absolute must-have for newbie players. Makes character creation infinitely easier, since it gives you a filtered list of feats/skills/etc that you can take, which eliminates so much of the reading you might need to do otherwise. Other than that, this app is exactly what I was looking for. Unbelievably happy with the purchase. (Update: Has a Dark Theme now 🤘🏼)
Bought this for my Pathfinder 1e games and all I can say is that it is fantastic. I only have a few minor quibbles with it, but nothing so major as to keep me from highly recommending it. It has a clear and easily accessible interface that allows you to quickly dive into the details of an ability whenever you need. It has great customization for things not included already in the app, but I do wish that it could be expanded to include custom Archetypes and such. All in all, amazing app!
Wonderful, quick way to build characters. This will cover 95% of what you want. You can easily create custom feats, races, spells, and much more. Has a learning curve as there are minor counter-intuitive things (can’t add traits until finishing setup for level 1, unable to easily rebalance skill points). Some niche builds can run into problems as well: Can’t build a weapon-wielding Eidolon, can’t make custom familiars, etc. 100% worth the price for the app and expansion pack.
This is a great app, but I feel like in referance to 3.5 its not quite where it could be. Its missing important books, like PHB 2. Personally I feel as though the core rule books should come with the og purchase. But, even without those. The ability to add custom anything is a great work around, and the set up to do so is very easy to grasp. So one can add in anything from the slew of other books in 3.5. Its just a little time consuming and inconvenient. Id love to see PHB2 in the future!
App is very well put together. From step by step level-ups to adding custom items, races, and classes; everything integrates very well. Great for newer players still learning the basics, but flexible enough for veteran players who may need something more custom. It’s well worth the money, and the extra few dollars for the Pathfinder expansion gets you A LOT of content so you don’t need to add everything manually. Cannot recommend enough.
I really love this app! I have been using it for a few years now and I was excited to see it reach the Google App store. The one issue I ran into is when using a Chromebook the import files do not appear when selecting “Import” within the app after exporting characters. I figured it was an issue with hidden files but this was not the case.
Overall, an excellent app for basic character creation. There are a slew of 3.5 d&d classes, class variants, and races that could be ported in from the innumerable published 3.5 explanations that would make a number of players, including myself, very happy. For example, the warlock class and urban ranger variant class. I’m recently having a bug occur where the app will cease function when I try to select weapons for my character.
This App is amazing for all things Pathfinder first edition! All the math is done for you and is done accurately. Often times it will properly add bonuses that I forget about. Character creation is super easy and so are level ups. Most magic items are perfectly integrated and all of the rules are right on the app. The best part is that if something isn’t quite working right or you have something hombrewed it is amazingly easy to add in. I really enjoy using and would highly recommend this app!
Alright, this app is wonderful for my 3.5 games, allows for custom content, my only complaints are the limited amount of icons, inability to add custom ones and the simple backpack. If I could add my own custom icons for items and nest my inventory instead of it just dumping to backpack (coins in a specified pouch, gems pouch, scroll case w/parchment) I’d change this to 5 stars
I’ve enjoyed this app immensely and use it for a few games I play, however I assumed it would draw from SRD content, only to find it’s missing the duskblade class (PHB2 pg.19) and after purchasing the packs for bonus classes/feats it still wasn’t there. This has made me instead go back to pencil and paper, making this app useless in this particular situation.
This makes have custom classes so much easier. I just wish I could create my own archetype under an already existing class and maybe a tab for mounts/animal companions/ eidolons.
Very nice product just wish they would add more dnd 3.5 material to the updates. We prefer 3.5 over 5e and there is so much of the not covered by the app.
Excellent app, works great for my 3.5e characters! Highly recommend it to any 3.5e players or DMs, as it’s more than worth the price. I haven’t tried the Pathfinder features personally, but I imagine they’re of similar quality. One thing I’d love to see is support for bestiary creatures, as it would make it easier to keep track of NPCs as a DM or even a player (when using Summon Monster or Summon Nature’s Ally for example), though I imagine that would be a time-consuming feature to add.
Fantastic app. One huge flaw for me is losing my character after getting new phone. Needs way to archive character. Also more item creation options and images.
Well put together and very comprehensive. Only missing a save progress functionality when adding longer entries/classes to database. Otherwise absolutely brilliant.
Easy to use, easy to navigate. Just missing a few archetypes more archetypes for Pathfinder.
Easy character creation. But once the character is built you can’t change anything. Only option is to delete and reroll. Is there any chance this will get updated to 2e?
Haven’t had the opportunity to use the app in game as I just got it. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to show status effects such as haste or exhaustion
Fantastic app. A MUST have for Pathfinder fans. Edit:. I have had this app for years. It keeps getting regular updates. Useful and meaningful updates. On several occasions I have tweeted them an idea or a wish for the game, and a few weeks later I see it added to the game. It has given me hours of entertainment. It is 100% worth the cost for the expansion packs. Download it, buy the expansions and convince all you’re friends to do the same.
This seems to be a good app. However, when adding a custom race there is no field for racial hit dice, only level adjustment. This leaves the hit points, skill points, feats and BAB off-kilter. It seems like kind of a big miss for such an otherwise detailed app. I would be happy to give 5 stars if a hit die field were added in that adjusted for these things.
Absolutely a Brilliant app. Does all the work and calculations for you. It now takes me 5 mins to create playable characters and NPCs with gear, skills and accurate features, weight, items the works. The key word here is accurate, it’s amazing how many mistakes I made with character creation doing it all manually. The price is really good for what you are getting. I tried many apps to help me with my DM duties but this one beats them all, hands down.
It starts out difficult due to lack of instructions, but once you explore all the buttons and options, the app becomes easy to use. There are a few missing items that would make the app more complete, but it is constantly updated thus far so this helps, but the updates tend to be more playable content than app improvement items, so 4 stars.
App is very fluid and easy to use, however, it is missing a ton of stuff for PF. There is no Devoted Muse prestige class, and a lot of feats are missing, like Fey Foundling. There is also no way to add traits either. Also, I wish there was an option for gestalt characters too, but it’s not a big deal.
This is a pretty awesome and easy to use app(especially for a new and 1st time player like myself). Though It seems to be missing alot form 3.5e. I’m new but, alot of the items and other things I found in my buddies book aren’t here. Also it would’ve been smart to make a site for people to host there databases since it’s a built in feture to share. Would’ve been amazing I’m sure. 100% willing to bet the dedicated fandom would of add a complete database to import.
After downloading and getting all the expansions, and trying to import a character from a friends iPhone, the app now doesnt let me make a new character via either existing or a brand new character method. I would really love to use the app but I’m not sure how to fix the issue. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing has changed.
Really good app to create and play with characters. Doesn’t have everything to ever be in pathfinder, but the developer is slowly adding more stuff to the expansion pack. The custom classes could have a few more options but overall it’s great app. PS: Pls add dark mode.
The character generation and stat calculations work quite well, e.g., adding Weapon Focus adjusts the appropriate attack, but that’s where the interactivity ends. The app would be far more useful if you could roll attacks, saving throws, etc. directly from the character sheet.
Very limited functionality, only base races and classes are included in the base $4 cost. Then it’s much more to buy expansions, this is all disclosed after already committing to the base price. The base app should be free for what it contains.. which is too bad, because it looks incredible.
This app is legendary, and a great resource for a player or DM of any stage. My only complaint is that I can’t seem to find an option to create homebrew races or classes, which is typically something me and my players love doing. Can’t wait to see what more updates come out in the future! Edit: Thanks for the instructions! Love the app, and can’t wait for the newest races and classes!
Awesome awesome and awesome. SO FEW RESOURCES FOR 3.5 IN 2022! Some of us old farts even still play AD&D! Great for rapid creation, management and reference. ONLY COMPLAINT: I’d really love to see more games as pay for, add-ons! Other RPG gaming systems for character management. Love it! Thanks!

These reviews are for 3.5e part, and not pathfinder and, in no way, should reflect pathfinder. Great app BTW just needs some finshing touches and some other books to really make it shine keep up the good work.
OK the app is great for core rule pathfinder and 3.5. to get traits, all the other classes, feats, spells, etc. etc. you need to buy the expansion. My advice? just download. pathbuilder. Pathbuilder gives you access to all content for pathfinder, and it’s free. it has a simple unintrusive banner ad, that you can pay a small one time fee to eliminate. If your game is pathfinder, then pathbuilder is what you want.
I love this app. It really helps my players, who are new to tabletop gaming, to learn the system. Works great for pathfinder and d&d 3.5. Also, the app is continuously updated; they add new archetypes, magical items, and races all the time. And best of all, the development team is responsive to those who use the app. How awesome is that! Me & my group love this app.
This app is pretty good and I have been using it for two characters now. My one issue is that it hides how much it cost. It says free but in order to get the rest of the stuff you have to buy add on packs. They were nice enough to spilt Pathfinder from D&D so I didn’t have to spend money on stuff I was never going to use. They also do not have everything in the database yet but are still adding stuff. You can also add your own stuff into the database incase it’s not there. Overall I love this app and will continue to use it for all my Pathfinder 1E needs.
Love the versatility of this app. They added many helpful thing. Me and friends went from paper to app with this app. Quick and easy to use. Keeps track of many things that often change regularly. A must have if you play.
Great app, it gives me all I need for my character sheet. The only thing it’s missing though is a dice rolling mechanism inside the app. I still have to use a separate dice rolling app or manual dice, and having a dice rolling mechanic inside the app would be a great feature for this app.
So far so good. Beats having to print ou charactersheets over and over. That being said I deducted one star due to the lack of the archetype “master if many styles” for the monk. I noticed all other UC archs are in there but not that, in the expansion pack as well. Update! Master of many styles added👍👍 now where’s my bards arrowsong minstrel 😂
This app has been amazing so far! I use it for Pathfinder and it has become my go to for anything Pathfinder.
It doesn’t state upfront that you only get the most basic info to build a character or that it will cost another $6 for the expansion. Given the availability of other apps with all the same basic info as this base app it’s just not worth it to purchase.
