23 different plane markers are included and airline logos are displayed next to planes for easy identification.

Simply tap a plane to see detailed flight and aircraft information including photographs or tap an airport to see live arrivals and departures boards.

You can even use Augmented Reality (AR) view to identify planes overhead using your device camera.

Powerful and unlimited custom filters are free to use. You can create, save and name as many filters as you need for quick access to the planes you are interested in.

Add and browse bookmarks to saved locations around the globe to quickly navigate to areas or airports of interest.

Custom alerts are unlimited and unlocked via an In App Purchase, so you can take a break from watching the air traffic and let the app notify you when a plane is in the air or nearby.

Plane Finder has been featured by Gizmodo, CNN, GMA, BBC, Sunday Times, Mail on Sunday, CNET, Wired, GQ Magazine and many more. We have millions of happy users and Plane Finder is regularly updated with innovative new features. Our support team always listen to and reply to feedback.

We operate our own extensive flight tracking network which is expanding every day!

Important Note:
Plane Finder works by picking up real time ADS‐B signals used by aircraft to transmit positional data to land based receivers. This technology is faster than traditional radar and is used for air traffic control and navigation. ADS‐B is not used by all airlines or aircraft, however this is changing and the number of aircraft tracked by ADS‐B is increasing all of the time. Traditional radar type data in near real time is also included for North America; this is subject to a short time delay.

I used this application exclusively to track flights of my loved ones but recently I discovered a fatal flaw which just kills this app. I tried to track a flight and it didn’t show up. The worst things went through my head. I knew the flight had taken off because I got the confirmation from the airport. I checked other flight tracking systems on my desktop and realized that the flight had dropped off for about 40-45 minutes but they got it back quick. This app saw the flight almost at the end.

Would have been five stars, but, the X and Y axis are swapped in augmented reality mode, making it useless. (fully up to date Pixel 2 XL) I compared it to an ADS-B program with an SDR dongle, and the app missed some planes that the receiver picked up, and the receiver missed some that the app displayed, so that’s an even trade off in my opinion. I’m eagerly awaiting the software update that fixes this that support told me was coming.

I’m not impressed. I can sometimes hear aircraft, but nothing on the map. I expected more for £4.99 totally overpriced. I got this app as recommended, but theirs worked better? I’ve not set any alerts, so I’m not sure why I get notifications of a squawking aircraft from another country!!!! I’m in a triangle between Luton, Stansted, Duxford, and a couple of smaller airfields. Another thing that is useless, the aircraft photos are identical and not an actual photo of the type of plane flying.

Disappointed after switching to Android. Have been using app on iOS device for years and was pleased with it. However, have now switched to an android phone and bought the full version of the app again. Am disappointed as this version has much less functionality. In particular, the playback function does not seem to exist. I found this feature particularly useful on the iOS version, and am not happy to lose it.
