Descripción

Imagine a world that you could explore infinitely, continually finding an endless amount of entirely new content and adventures.

What if you could also choose any action you can think of instead of being limited by the imagination of the developers who created the game?

This is AI Dungeon.

AI Dungeon is a first of its kind text adventure game that allows you to do anything you can imagine. The AI is completely new technology built off GPT-3 so there are times it will be incoherent, but if you’re patient with that you will be able to enjoy an experience like no other.

Was once a great game, has gradually dissolved into an overly monetized mess with high censorship (which wasn’t always there) that doesn’t even make sense half the time. The AI has also become increasingly nonsensical and broken as well with little to no consistency or memory. Is it still decent? Yes, I’d say so, but a far cry from what it once was. I think it’s a stepping stone toward future advancements though, like this is the Atari “Pong” of advanced, self-learning-AI-driven games.

So to start this off A.I Dungeon was a letdown of it’s former self. It used to be able to output a coherent story and actually remember characters. Thus far, it has not done either. The stamina bar is annoying but I rarely play anyway so it’s not a hamper to me. However, today [4/21/22] I open it up and discover that the send button for finishing text has just decided to be gone. Normally this isn’t a worry, but since I’m on mobile, the “enter key” only starts a new line of text.

It is playable now, and if you fork over a lot of cash it is 4/5. But if you don’t pay, it still has some of the same issues, though not as extreme (usually). Sadly its new focus on playing established games and worlds, so unless your adept at coding, its almost inaccessible. The AI is restrictive when it comes to writing from scratch. Not unusable now, but that’s not a compliment. The ratings will not improve unless they do something big like slash prices or improve for no paying players.

It used to be way better but now just like all other mobile applications it has been plagued by micro transactions and memberships. Legit only 3 public stories are free and every other one needs to be bought with the currency. I do like the addition of the buttons that let you change if what you type is what you are saying or doing or what happens in the story. But the ai is bad. Most of the time it doesn’t listen to what you type in the memory box and if it does then later on it forgets it
