I felt an attempted con happened. Attempted, because I was smart enough to catch it. I mainly wanted the application to sharpen blurry pics. So I found one that needed a little focusing. It starts with the picture blurred, then “fixed”. It wasn’t. So to truly test my theory, I found a more badly blurry pic. No change from the “fixed” at all.
Most recent app update (2.1.6) makes it almost unusable. Adding text is now more of a nuisance because the text first shows as all white which makes it unable to be seen if the background is white. Changing color is now harder because they include just about every color imaginable in the default choices EXCEPT red which you have to go into the color palette each time to select. Then if you change fonts, move the text, then reselect it, it reverts back to the default font. Use to love this app.
This app is by far the best I’ve come across. Photo Director only has 1 feature that this does not have. That is, with this app, when you select the first picture and then use the blend feature to select the second picture you have to use the erase feature to remove all of the second picture, then go back and use the brush feature to tap in what you want to use in the blending of the two pictures. If this app could just add a hide the second picture, after you line it up the way you want, without having to erase the whole second picture this would be perfect. This app has LOADS more options than Photo Director has. Like being able to rotate the second picture to line it up the first one to blend. Useful for those who like to see new hairstyles. There are many more that are hard to describe. 5☆’s with the request and hope to add the feature of hiding the second picture. Masking it. Already bought the app, and the magic brushes are worth every penny. Maybe increase the brush size a wee bit more, but if not not a big deal there. Great app!!! Try it folks! You might be surprised, and it’s a cheaper way to go than 50 bucks or more for a PC program.
I went ahead and got the one month pro edition just to give it a try make sure to cancel if you don’t want to keep it because they will auto renew. Aside from the auto renew, I have really enjoyed learning how this tool works. The tutorials are extremely well done and very easy. It is amazing I have taken photographs and done such wonderful things creating and with such ease that it is incredible. Most things are done with a slide bar you can get exactly what you want the options are endless.
I like this app and use it a ton, but I don’t believe they’ve added any new frames, backgrounds, etc since I’ve been using it (a couple of years). An update stopped the focus edit from working properly. You can’t zoom in or pick specific areas to adjust focus. Don’t the developers ever use their own product?! Could be a great app with some TLC and enhancements. Would give it a 5 if everything worked.
My first attempt I think, hmm maybe I can still do the better soon and that would be great! However I have made my very first time worthwhile and I must have put in some 5-6 different Layers of special effects in and pretty much stuck with the same basic color theme all around the photo. I’ve never been lacking in the area of an eye for detail in artistic endeavors and so I’ve, myself of course, and I’ve found that photo to be absolutely beautiful, to me, of course. However, I have a feeling that if anyone else ever saw the picture, I am thinking that they would be blown away by the way the color of the thing is sweet and thoughtful and generous kind of like my mom’s heart and I have a great deal of confidence that if I was actually wishing to sell it, its probably going to be going pretty quickly because of the fact that it’s actually not bad and my taste for artistic talent is through the roof ! And then I really love the idea of a super controller in a photo editing tools suitcase that’s actually able to do what it’s said that it’s able to get done. And I was also quite a bit surprised that this application actually did what it’s said it could do and then did it’s Job very very quickly and perfectly for me. It’s an really really great application and I am very very grateful for it and I will definitely recommend it to anyone else I run into that’s looking for something of a real great photo editing application on the play store and finishing up I’d like to thank the development team of the application on how perfectly fine with me their own application works out with, and I’m certainly thinking quite a lot of folks out there doing something very creative with their own personal time! thanks guys, it’s been a great one! and goodbye… Eddie Kamenzind 2018, October
App has some good features and it’s pretty easy to use with 1 exception, on my phone it will not let me move my picture when I zoom in, which makes it very hard to edit specific parts of my pictures. All the tutorials show that I should be able to move my picture around, but it doesn’t for me. The subscription isn’t over priced, so that’s great.
It used to be a great program! But now today after updating, I can’t do anything because it keeps telling me I’m offline. Whether I try to use cellular data or wifi it’s the same thing. Anything else I try to do online works so it’s definitely not my connection..I’ve logged out, logged back in. Uninstalled and reinstalled app and same problem. I use this app daily. I would hate to have to find another one if they don’t fix the connection issue. Plus you should be able to do a lot of it while offline. They should only make online connection required when trying to go to store to get more items.
This app is awesome. Only wish I could pay to just remove ads. I’ve been looking for a photo edit app for when srlling a few things once in while. Not often or intense enough to require a monthly membership though. They have two monthly offers and one is is a great price if you’ll need this fairly often. For me, I just need a photo editor in spurts. App works very smoothly and has a bunch of midrange editing features if you don’t need the pro version which is the second higher more featured monthly fee. The are good addins such as some cool backgrounds that are .99 per. At a glance, some are definately worth buying. It also has the exposure change which I found I need but many midrange dont havem I know nothing about its advanced features as I don’t suscribe and am only trying to improve pics of items someone else might enjoy. Again, for me, I would like to pay to remove ads bc with any app I’m not shopping when I’m editing and don’t like it. I also appreciate their noninvasive permissions as that is a big deciding factor for me. I will likely purchase some of the effects and backgrounds and would pay to remove ads without membership and hope they provide this option.
Very easy to use. Has helped me with editing images and making them more visually appealing to others. My only complaint, is that I wish there weren’t a paywall over certain tools. I just want a transparent background, but in order to do that I would have to buy premium. Overall, its a great app, and I highly reccomend it!
My absolute, hands down favorite mobile image editor! Can do anything you could want to do barring a pro edit but JESUS F😳KING CHRIST can y’all PLEASE stop messing with the text function??!!!!!!!!! It feels like every week there’s suddenly a new issue with aunt text to an image which is thirty percent of the reason I use the app. In example: I currently cannot course black as a text color. Previously I’ve suddenly been able to only use three or four fonts. Just fix it and let it alone, please.
A good mobile photo editor, just keep your expectations in check. I picked it up to see if it would work on a project I was working on, when I wouldn’t be near my workstation. It’s not Photoshop, but it doesn’t really say it is. Suffice to say it didn’t really help me, but it is a nice app–easy to use, fast, and actually has tutorials built in–thank you devs. If you’re looking to fix some quick pics, dabble in some effects, and just have fun with your photos, give it a whirl. Just don’t expect Adobe or Corel on the go.
Been using this for a long time. Uninstalling. 1. down-res’es large image files rather than maintain original image quality. 2. App has become an ad factory. Intrusive: always on screen, pop up half and full screen in between image mods. 3. Pushes notifications when not in use. 4. Devs adopted subscription service model rather than buy-once. App is good but not good enough to be subscription. Leave that model to truly pro software.
Awesome App! I use it to for removingn the background in the pictures that I use to sell things online. . The precision oF the magic background remover could use some work. It often covers up things it shouldn’t because it confuses different cdors for being the same color. And I myself think that the lifetime Subscription price is a little too high. Otherwise I would have purchased it a long time Ago Oppose to paying for it each month. Other than that I have no issues . It’s a great app.
A little hard to get the hang of getting the effects I’m looking for to stay without losing them once I’ve achieved them, especially with Text, but over all very nice and lots of options in regular free version. Am very tempted to give the pro version a shot … only I’d never stop playing with my phone then. I do use this to make up ads and quick promotions for the places I work. Thanks for such a cool app.
I’ve only edited one photo with it so far, but it seems like an amazing (free) Lightroom alternative. You can edit specific colors, change the light waves, even adjust the resolution your edits save at. The only thing I’d recommend the developers do is not give us users popups of how different controls work, and instead offer a tutorial when we 1stbuse the app that we can then go back and see if we ever need it in the menu.
LightX offers more ways to edit light and color than most simple photo editing apps. With LightX I can pack an image full of color, like no other app, yet control it through through the peripheral features, like color balance. I use about four photo editing apps to get what I need in creativity…. but nothing passes through my hands without going through LightX !
A really nice photo editor. High quality editing, on my phone! I wish there weren’t so many features locked behind pay walls, tho. I understand they need to make certain features cost money, and there are still much more features that are completely free, so it’s fine. There are so many great things you can do with this photo editor!
I really enjoy lightx! I downloaded just to tinker with some old pictures, and ended up making some pretty amazing images with this app. It has nearly all the effects and options as most of the similar apps available, but better because it’s all in one place. Recommend this highly! I don’t even have premium version yet and am very impressed and never disappointed.
Happy to give more stars if this gets resolved. I’ve been using this app for my photos for the better part of a year. Soon after i downloaded it, i purchased the extras. Everything was going fine, for months i was using the full version i had paid for. Until yesterday when i went into the light x program with a new batch of photos and all my premium purchases were vanished with the app telling me i needed to purchase again! the posted email is kicking my attempted to contact support.
I would compare this app to like a lite version of Photoshop. Very user friendly. Not super accurate editing but good enough to make you look flawless for Facebook and Instagram images and add interesting filters and backgrounds. I’ve only had it for about a maybe a week or so and this is the first time I would ever pay for an editing app for my phone. Hopefully it will continue to get better with added features but if not I’ll still use it.
Shadows adjustment affects too much of the picture as does highlight adjustment. I tried to bring up the shadows in a photo I took on a gloomy, rainy day but the shadows slider increased the overall brightness too and the highlight slider affected the shadows too. These two sliders need to be much more limited in the range of light they affect.
This is one of the best photo editing apps here after you upgrade. It’s impossible to exactly align/overlay a copy of the same photo though. Why doesn’t it just upload exactly in the same place and dimensions as the original? Please fix that. Also, need to be able to have sliders (and masks with brush and erase tools) for the strength and opacity of the daily filters.
you are missing one of the number one tools. people would like to be able to zoom in and out of the photo while editing you guys don’t understand how important that is sometimes in a photo there’s a certain object that needs to be edited and when you can’t zoom into the photo you can’t tell how much more adjusting it may need a lot of apps are leaving this option out which is turning people away
I LOVE this app. There are so many great brushes and options to transform your pics! From perspective views to light editing- and best of all tutorial videos on most (or all?) of the different options. ~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~• I have a request. On the doodle option, it would be great if there was an eraser for your doodles. When drawing something on my pic, sometimes I see something I need to correct and The undo isn’t the right choice every time unless I want to redraw everything.
Very impressive editing application! Lots of free features, although like other apps the best are saved for the paid pro option. LightX is very affordable if you choose to pay and they offer multiple price points so you can save if you know your going to use for months at a time rather than only paying for it month after month.
Great app! This is one of my favorite and go to apps when it come to photo editing. I love how this app is easy to use, & the cosmetics of it is clean and organized. They have turtroials to teach how to do certain things to ur photos. The how to video are amazing, helped me out a whole lot. They were easy to follow and entertaining. Great job to the developer, and i would defintaly refer a friend to this app.
The app has been good so far, it’s doing what I need it to do, but it’s a bit confusing, and the tutorials aren’t exactly detailed, so the only thing I recommend doing is telling how to properly use the tool’s in more detail in the tutorial, or have a guide on the app. also I don’t think I can rate the app 4 1/2 star’s on my device but since I can’t rate it that I’m going to rate it that in the review 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌓 (sorry there wasn’t any half star’s so I gave a half moon as a replacement.
I bought the pro version and do not regret it. I use it mostly for color enhancement and filters. I wish you could size and rotate filter effects. My only gripe is that when you use the blend feature it does not snap the image to the boarders so you can never get them lined up.
A lot of nifty features you can play for hours with. Makes you wanna take pictures. Suggestion- to be able to control the size of the text when expanding to fit the screen, be able to have the word go beneth one another instead of only across the screen. Other than that 💯
Wow! What a difference. Last app took 8hrs to get a few minutes work done. It gave my poor phone app flu. Then I thought my work done. No. No, my work not done. Had to remove water marks from all 6 images based on one I created. Uploaded. Downloaded to all devices, and removed all the water marks from my artwork again! And from each device too. Even the emulated ones. But this app’s a keeper. Don’t think this had any adds,ButTheLastAppMayHaveTemporarilyBlindedMe WithAppFluResidue.
Probably one of the best photo editor apps. To put it simply, I needed an app that could easily cut a photo out of an image and this prrformed it beyond my expectations. I didnt have to use a small point to manually cut it myself which would have taken almost an hour to get a fine cut. I highly recommend this.

Newbie to app & photo editing tools. Lots of cool tools & effects to use, it’s great that there are instructional videos for each tool, however they go thru the processes way too fast for a beginner to follow. Was able to muddle thru editing a fall leaf colour/clarity upgrade but it took a long time an lots of guess work before getting it right.
Downgraded this app rating to 1 star. Pain in the butt trying to get the developer to explain why I lost features I paid for in 2017 before he changed to a subscription app in 2018. I can’t save in high res any more. Sent screenshots of my purchase and still nothing, no refund. For tweaking your smartphone pictures I recommend the Snapseed app. It’s free, no advertising, no monthly or annual subscription fees. Do subscriptions photo apps with DSLR photos not smartphone pictures.
Some things it nails and others it totally misses. The sad thing is the misses are so basic. I had the paid version once but now that they want a subscription or a ridiculously high price for it when it’s missing so much… I’ll pass. If you the option you need is there it’ll probably work very well.
This app has had a couple hiccups here & there but the developer/s usually keep it running smooth. For some odd reason it stopped loading today completely. Rebooted, no change. So I cleared the cache & it loaded. However it wouldn’t accept my username & password. It doesn’t even recognize my email address & I’m not paying for the app again. Again, this app is great & I use it often to be honest, at minimum 1 a week. ***UPDATE- DEV has fixed issue 2 days after email sent!🤙🏾
I think that I got the app in 2020 and it was working fine at the beginning of this year until I connected my phone to WIFI. This led to the app getting an update and since then I can’t edit any pictures. If I try to use the filter function (e.g clarity, darken etc…), the Adjustment function (e.g saturation) or any other editing function the pictures immediately becomes dark and if I try to save it, it’s saved as a pure black image.
I was unsure about purchasing it at first, I had been frustrated in the past with these kinds of apps, but so far it’s been easy to use, quick edits, and fun exploring the vast amounts of features jammed packed in this app! I’m actually excited to have purchased a lifetime subscription! Clearly it’s the best option, and one of the best purchases you will ever make.
Too confusing to use. To add color to sn image should be simple!! Over an hour now trying to figure it out. Tutorials do not help because the App doesn’t work like the tutorial shows.
