I don’t usually review apps, but this one is so bad I feel the need. The new realm of corporate greed is getting out of hand, to say the least… Let’s make the consumer pay to watch ads. Any time I have to pause playback, the app loses where I was. Then, when I try to scroll to where I was, it makes me watch a slew of ridiculous ads. If I can’t find where I was on the first try, it makes me watch more ads. Sorry Disney, I’m done. Bye bye
Not a good product or streaming service. They make you think that because it’s Disney every Disney movie ever made will be available. 100% a lie. Disney refuses to allow you to watch everything Disney. If you sucker yourself into paying for this, under no circumstance should you fast forward or rewind any episode or movie. This is where the second rate quality of the app really comes into effect. Any attempt to fast forward or rewind, ANYTHING, will result in the app crashing.
The app keeps crashing, saying my app has a bug and won’t allow me to watch any content. It’ll let me watch the ads, but then it won’t let me watch the movie. I really enjoy this app on my TV and it works fine there, but when I’m at work I’d like to watch a movie on my lunch break. I’d like to fix this bug myself but have no clue or way of doing so. Maybe you could help me figure out what is wrong. I have cleared the data and cache from my app on Disney Plus many times with no improvement.
Honestly, I think the main thing this app needs is a button that plays the complete MCU in chronological order. Including the shows like agents of shield and agent Carter. When it gets to the next episode of AoS that needs the movie first, it plays the movie and then goes back to the show. It would make watching the MCU easier and would be a perfect fit on the app.
Horrible!!! Paid for Hulu/Disney and can’t even log in to watch anything. All the apps on the Firestick, TV and smartphone doesn’t work. Took 30 minutes to finally verify my email with 15 resent passcodes. Now it I can’t even log into any of the apps because it just keeps spinning or not recognized or the damn app crashes or it just keeps loading. Just spent 1 hour and nothing. Straight scam and the app is garbage. Can’t even get support on this.
I have downloaded the Disney+ app several times, each time, switching off my Android tablet, reloading Disney, it loads fine, but when I open the app, it just spins, it will not load. I don’t have trouble on any other device!!! I have updated all system settings so all up to date and there is ,64g of space so there should not be a problem! What is going on???? My daughter is Down Syndrome and is having fits over the fact its not working…sensory issues are through the roof!!!! Help!!!!!🤦🤦
The search feature is horrible on the Disney+ app for the Roku TV. When you’re searching for something to watch, when you click on it and go back, the app takes you back to the the very top of the selections. So, you literally have to scroll down and then scroll all the way over to where you were to keep searching. Every single time. Excruciatingly annoying.
I appreciate this app and others, i.e., hulu have merged. However, this ad business needs to be adjusted. I understand the need for ads, not complaining about having them, I’m complaining about watching a 2 min ad, tabbing out of the app, jumping back in, the app buffering, the episode starting over, for whatever reason then having to watch another 2 min ad to start the episode just to scroll to where I left off to lo and behold watch another, you guessed it a 2 min ad…
I’ve had the ad free version before without issue but the ad version I literally can’t watch anything. I click play on a movie and get thru 1 ad and it stops the movie altogether. Sometimes I get an error message saying the app has a bug and to wait til the developer comes up with a fix and than update the app. I’d like my money back or a free month once this is fixed since I haven’t been able to watch anything since I purchased the plan with ads.
Content is good. The constant price changes suck. App is trash (on all platforms). The splash screen plays a 5-second tone at max volume every time you open the app. I can’t think of a worse UX anti-feature. Every time I open the app, I close it before it finishes loading. I simply can’t stand the immediate assault on my ears. Fix that and I’ll fix my review.
It will close your video if you lock your phone, no matter what. The ads are longer than on hulu, basically the hulu app is so much better, but doesn’t have the disney shows. One good thing is the subtitles play at the right time (not on hulu). When casting the remote settings disappear while you are watching. So you have to recast. And don’t even try to fast forward or rewind while casting. It may shut the whole show down, or it takes forever and you miss the timing.
This app worked great for a long time now as of the last 2 weeks it doesn’t open, ever since the most recent update. It just loads forever and never actually loads up. If it doesn’t start working by the end of the week I’ll have to cancel. **( It’s been about a week and this app still doesn’t get past the loading screen. I’ve deleted it and reinstalled it 3 times to no avail. I have just cancelled my subscription that I’ve had for 2+ years.)**
Disney+ used to be ad free for me, but then there were 2 minute ads every 5 minutes. I have been paying the same amount for it before, and after the ads, it’s like the dark ages of cable TV. I would be ok with it if it were like youtube with 2 five second ads every 5 minutes. My point is I pay for it it should be ad free! Thank you for having a larger attention span than a gold fish if you have read this far.
When I first got this app, it was amazing, like a perfect 10 out of 10. But then, Disney went and added ads inside the app. It’s so annoying! Every five minutes, I’m getting an ad when I’m just trying to watch my show. It’s really ruined the experience for me, and now I’d only give it a 1 out of 10.
App is awful crashs everytime after playing an ad, making it impossible to watch anything. This has been going on for about a month now. Have contacted support and spent hours talking to them with no solution saying they are working on a fix. They did give me one month for free but after a whole month and it still doesn’t work is just ridiculous. Extremely disappointed and will be canceling.
Way too many updates and none of them make any meaningful change which might provide a smoother, more comprehensive experience for the user. Also, one might have expected library level curation but those who put together the details tab, the collections, and the cataloguing of titles are sorely lacking in both general curating skills and intimate knowledge of Disney esoterica. SHAMEFUL!
It is the worst streaming app, especially when it comes to connecting to the internet and staying connected. I have no problems with Hulu, Netflix, Peacock, Max, YouTube, etc…only Disney Plus. I get constant Error 93 codes. “You aren’t connected to the internet” when I absolutely am connected. The formating is lazy, and it’s inconsistent when it comes to jumping to the next episode. If Disney didn’t have such great shows, I would cancel, delete, and never look back.
I love the app, but it’s started to almost buffer? But not buffering like it’s constantly loading, but the video itself keeps skipping slowly like it’s a disk with a scratch but the sound is still playing normally. I just listened to the same line five times before I just gave up and turned it off because everything I was trying wasn’t working.
I really like the app, but they’re 3 problems from this app. 1: it’s kinda little slow when you get in. 2: I don’t really like the ads. 3: can you make the connection more better. I just got a Hulu and Disney plus bundle. And I don’t really like the ads. Netflix doesn’t have Ads, Disney should do the same too. Can you please remove them or how to take the ads off. Also fix the slow connection of the bundle. Please Remove the Ads I’m begging you.
when it decides to work it’s great however it isn’t that often on my phone. it works well on tv and computer though. mobile version sucks. says there is a bug and to download an update. too bad when I look I have the up to date version. I even tried uninstall ingredients and reinstalling and it does not work. hope they fix the issue. guess I can only watch things at home
