I love this app! Most of the recipes have the option to add all the ingredients to my walmart list. Makes it super easy. I also love that you can adjust the serving size before adding ingredients to my list or before printing. New recipes are added all the time so menu planning is easy. Also most recipes have a video to see how it’s done.
This App is So Amazing! I love that I can adjust the recipes per serving size! They range from easy to hard. Everything I’ve had is so “Tasty”. What I love most is the comments sections where you can get advice on the recipes from others who have made it. Whether you want to add or take out something, cook times, etc. I rely on this to help with meal ideas for Every occasion. I stay organized with the options to favorite recipes so I can easily recall ones I Love.
Love seeing different recipes to try! All so good and mostly super easy! Also love how detailed the recipe instructions are to make it more simplified for just about anyone to do, regardless of their cooking experience. I also love the comments from others that have already made it and suggest variations that are helpful to your liking. I find that Tasty has more variety of things and the app is so user friendly! I look forward to making many dishes, starting tonight!!! 😋😋
Great if you’re looking for new and creative recipies, though a lot of the more standard dishes are missing from their catalogue. Additionally, while they organize the recipes you favorite, it is easy to lose a recipe in the recipe books if you don’t remember exactly what you’re looking for
I’ve had this app for about 5 years + maybe. I use it to find great new recipes and ideas for food. It is amazing! The recipes are great and I’ve made a lot. I love that real people who have made the recipe can put tips on the recipe page so you can see what may need to be changed. I know they have a partner with Walmart and you can add ingredients to you need to a cart and get them quick from like car delivery. I think that’s great.
I’ve been using this app for a few years now and have been hooked ever since I first downloaded it! Fantastic resource for building a monthly menu. The new recipes that pop up every now and then are unique and exciting, the addition of comments/suggestion at the end of recipes is great for extra guidance if needed, and the ability to save recipes and create your own cookbook is a huge plus. This app really is the perfect package! 🌟
Good, but getting a little stale now in the featured recipes. The trending and top rows seem to never change. I’d like to see more variety, especially in compilation posts – for example: I’m a bit tired of seeing the same recipes for chicken wings in each new combo of 7 things to do w/chicken I doI love the feature that was added to change the number of servings, but I do hope an update is in the works quickly to expand upon that and update the ingredient amounts as well. That would be fantastic
I love it! A couple of the recipes do need some tweaking. It would be easier if the directions were closer to the ingredients and the recommendations bar below that. Most of the recipes I tried, I used leftovers and/or frozen, so I bet next time, using fresh foods will make it better.
Woke up our meals! We have several new recipes that we found that have been added to our regular meals. Some are sides. Some desserts. Some main course. We’ve joked about picking a new recipe at least once a week. Turns out that we’ve tried a new recipe at least every few days. It’s nice that most of the things we’re eating are made with things we keep on hand which makes fewer trips to the store which makes me very happy! And we’re enjoying the meals and the time together.! Thanks!!
A lot of these recipes are a hit or miss. It’s great for getting idea, but some of the recipes are missing something. For example: I tried this recipe for bbq chicken nuggets that only used chicken, bread crumbs, and bbq sauce. It sounded like great, but the breading didn’t stick to the bbq sauce like in the video and was just really disappointing.
I love this app!! There are so many amazing ideas that you never get bored, and if you are looking for something specific like vegetarian or ethnic the data base almost certainly has something. The videos make understanding instructions super easy. Plus, if you are trying to watch salt or carbs or spicy foods or whatever, the recipes are easily modified to suit your needs.
I really love the look of the app and the fact that it has so many different choices. Likke if your vegan or if you want to make something in 20 min or less. It also had a comment section on the food so people can rate it and tell you how it taste with other things mixed with it which can give u really great ideas. The thing i like the most is you can keep recipes u want to make later and it will put it in the collum of either a drink, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, and dessert.
I love this app. I’m a very new cook and am excited to try these recipes. I love that I can save recipes and the Walmart shopping cart is genius even if I personally don’t go there. I do have an issue with sound though. Often when I have left a recipe after watching the video, the music for the video audio will start up again and I can’t watch any others without them overlapping. I have to close and reopen the app to fix it.
This app is just kinda disappointing. I still gave it 3 stars because it has so much potential but as it currently stands…it’s just kinda pointless. The layout is great and having everything in one place without ads is fantastic. However, it has two huge issues that render the app useless. First is the lack of recipes (which, for an app that’s sole purpose is providing recipes…is kind of a big issue…). Tasty has sooooo many recipes across their various pages but the app has nothing compared to the screen shot gallery on my phone. I do understand that adding them all is going to be a slow process but I’ve tried it multiple times since the beginning and it’s hardly improved. At the very least, you would think the daily recipes that they post to each page would be added the day they’re posted (or re-posted) but nope. It can take a month for a recipe to be added to the app…if it’s added at all. The second issue is the inability to organize saved recipes. They all just get clumped together in the order that they were saved. This may not sound like much but say you wanna find a new dessert recipe to try…have fun looking through all your saved main dishes, appetizers, and sides as well. Or, even better, wanna specifically find a new chicken recipe for dinner? Yea goodluck. Honestly, instead of using this app, your better off using pinterest or just taking a screen shot of the recipe and organizing them in your phone gallery. I’ll still keep an eye on it in hopes that it’ll improve but there’s no point having it installed as it currently is.
Love the videos. I’ve noticed on the website there are tips that others have left; these do not display in the app (not that I’ve found). I wish they would, I’ve found those helpful. I’m also not sure where the “percentage that would make a recipe again” comes from, as I’ve found no place to leave a review or indicate this. One other suggestion would be the ability to make personal notes on a recipe. For example, we have a convection oven, and sometimes I’ve found my cooking times vary.
Love this app… cannot name much for change. Lots of recipes and most are straight to the point without someone droning on about their cooking prowess or the like where i need to skip through 5 minutes of video to see how it’s prepared. Sometimes ingredients fly by so I have to pause; occasionally it’s sped up a little…a challenge to understand what needs done, but rarely. Tasty has many things from the quick and simple to more elaborate meals. Something for everyone, really.
I had minimal cooking experience. This app made it enjoyable and relaxing to cook. The dishes didn’t come out exactly as pictured, but certainly close enough. I have much more confidence and fun cooking now. There’s a broad range of dishes, including numerous ethnicities represented and healthy choices, as well. And sometimes I even just watch the videos for fun. 😉
It was very useful and i was able to find some incredible recipes. I love the step by step mode and how they show you all the ingredients! I also am very impressed how they have diffrent sections to put your snacks, breakfasts, dinners, lunches, and more in! I suggest this app to anybody who is into cooking! Its easy to use so anybody can use it! Be it someone who is just starting out or a world class baker!
Really great app. The well thought out, intuitive interface design creates a very pleasant and easy-to-use experience. The concise “how to” videos are super helpful and are made extremely well, in terms of production value. A couple features I particularly love are the shortened step-by-step instructions (with a link to view the more thorough instructions, for beginners), and the ability to export the ingredients shopping list to the note-taking app of my choosing. An all-around well done app.
I usually go online for recepies but they never come out the same. I enjoy this app very much because it shows visuals how to make it without all that talking, the ingredients are below, they can order the ingredients you need from your closes grocery store. Plus it’s all easy you think, you would have to be a pro to make Chicken Cordon Bleu but no it’s too easy, I feel like I can open a restaurant.
My favorite recipe app! It definitely feeds my cooking creativity, I love using it to experiment with cooking, baking, and flavors. The only thing that could really make it better is by having more basic recipes. It’d be nice to be able to get both a recipe for country fried steak and some basic biscuits to go with, rather than only the former.
love all of the recipes, plus the fact that you get a step-by-step recipe and a video for reference is a major benefit. I just wish there were more recipes of a wider variety. I want Mexican, Asian, American, French, Italian, etc. I want options, dessert, lunch, breakfast, dinner, snacks, healthy, low carb, etc. But they still have great recipes though.
I love the recipe collections that the app has like 44 easy three ingredient recipes. I also like the variety of content. However, the thing I like most of all is the unlimited amount of favorites I can have!!! Yay! However, with that said, I would like to see more of a variation in desert flavors. Cookies and cream seems to be a little over done.
This app has tons if interesting & delicious receipes. But there are a few things that need to be addressed. One, the calorie count for most of the dishes are not listed. Two, they are almost always family sized, serving 4+ people. Doing the math to make a portion for 1 person can be annoying or difficult. Add auto conversion ! Three, there are “compilation videos” that showcase multiple ways to use one ingredient. However, the receipes shown often dont have their own pages. Overall 7.5/10
Love it! I cannot wait to make the Earl Grey Blackberry Cake. It looks divine! You can save recipes so that your favorites or ones you want to try are right there. It has loads of different categories to search for recipes in and you can type in key words or ingredients to find a good recipe. A feature I would love to see is being able to exclude recipes with specific ingredients. Y soon and I, both have different food allergies.
I hate this app. Instead of getting sidetracked from time to time on Facebook with yummy looking food, I can now just pull up the app and be distracted for hours watching the videos and planning every meal for every night of the month. It’s way too easy to use, all I gotta do is tap “dinner” and “Indian” or “Date Night” and bam. It even autofiltered meat recipes out. Now I have no excuse for not having dinner or lunch ideas.
I love this app, super easy recipes you can actually tackle. I usually have to add a bit more salt to all my recipes but I feel like that’s a taste preference. The grocery list export is so convenient, and to make life even easier they have the option of exporting the list directly to Walmart so you can do an in store pick up!!!! Lastly the videos showing you step by step direction on every single recipe helps you to ensure your on the right track!!!! I doubt there’s an easier cooking app!
It’s overall pretty good, I just wish there were some additional features. The first thing is adding a filter where you can add the ingredients you have and being able to sort through recipes that only have those ingredients. The second is adding more dietary options than just vegetarian: ideally there should be options to add obscure allergies or other diets.
I’ve really been enjoying using this app. The search function is pretty good and there are a good variety of recipes available for different meals and occasions. I think the best part of the app is the comments that people make suggesting tweaks and variations on recipes to make them more useful and more versatile. The community, while not perfect, can be crucial in getting a dish right the first time and avoiding frustration.
I love this app! Video how to’s for every recipe and a great looking design and layout are a couple of reasons why. It has a plethora of recipes from a wide variety of cultures and food ethnicities. You can also make a favorites list to save the recipes you want to come back to but I will say it does leave room for wanting as you can’t manage that list or categorizing it to your personal liking. Maybe there is a way and I haven’t figured it out yet. Still, I highly recommend this app.
Perfect for perfecting classic dishes, discovering new combinations, simplifying or complicating recipies you love, and prepping for your week as well as wowing family & friends. Rarely do they not have what I am looking for. And never has a dish, drink, or dessert come out bad. Will continue to use this app for a long time! Also just saw their products in stores! Good job and keep up the good work!
Tasty is a good app. Even when things don’t turn out according to plan, i still end up enjoying the process…even if it takes some improvisation 😅 The potential of what could be gets me every time. This coupled with exploring and trying new recipes is what keeps me coming back…especially when the app notifies you daily 🙂 Plus, i love the creativity it encourages.
I love Tasty!! Has the easiest recipes (some are more complex than you expected but overall is easy) and has a little bit for everybody, I just wished they had more lower carbs recipes for those who are trying to get rid of the quarantine pounds like me but is just matter of modifying some of the ingredients to make it low carb. I use it all the time and people love the result which is awesome, if you enjoy cooking like me you have to try this out!
awesome app! i really appreciate the step by step videos. The only thing in my opinion that coukd make it better is to add a skip back and forward feature of say 5 seconds, because the videos go so fast, it’s easy to miss a step, then you have to guesstimate how far to rewind it. I think 5 seconds would be perfect.
Love that your videos and recipes are in one convenient app! And I can save all my favorites! The only improvement I would love to see would be if yall could add a way for us to sort the videos we save into categories, or search within our saved videos because right now theyre just all mixed together and we have to scroll and scroll until we find what were looking for. (:
I really love this app and have been using it almost daily since I downloaded it. I would have given it 5* but unfortunately there is one big holdback. When I save a recipe there is no way at all to sort them by making separate albums or collections. They’re all just jumbled together. makes it very difficult if I’m trying to get an idea for, say, dinner from my favorited recipes.
Tasty is a really good app I have tried a few of the recipes and was really surprised by how good they were. My only problem which isn’t exactly a problem is the organization, The recipes could be a little easier to catogorize. Also if you are looking at one recipe and click off it takes you to the very top page this can be very frustrating.
After binge-watching the entire Cooking 101 series on Youtube, I decided to give the Tasty app a try; to which I am enjoying thoroughly. However, my reasoning behind a four-star rating is the lack of a calorie count for recipes. While there is always the option to calculate it myself, I believe adding easily accessible nutritional information for each recipe will better the app significantly. This addition could help people to satisfy their cravings, without having to sacrifice their diet.
Oh my goodness! I made the mistake of installing this app and looking at recipes when I was already hungry. A few minutes, and I have a lengthy favorites list to try out and my stomach is rumbling. Recipes run from super simple with few ingredients to more involved ones. App is easy to use and has great variety.
There is always something new to make, and it is super easy to follow along. It is broken into different sections so that cooking/baking is a breeze. I suggest looking into the comments of each recipe to see how others altered their dish to enhance it! Great app overall and best way to learn a new dish or make one that you favorited.
