I love this app! It auto-refreshes when opened to show the current EBT balance, with the date, amount, and store of my last transaction. It shows the amount and date of the last few deposits to the card. You can do your banking, it has links to special offers, like how to get free phones or service, job listings, coupons, recipes, and lots of other stuff. And I’ve not had a problem with it yet. I highly recommend!
The only thing I don’t like is it my spending never equals my deposits each month. Sometimes I lose up to $80. Hm. Don’t think it’s providers doing this but who knows. As far as instantly being able to see your balance it’s great. One note. Changing EBT cards is not user friendly. You have to create an entire new account. And if you don’t have a different email address to use your not going to be able to set up a new account. You would think the card issuing company would have their own app.
It is 👉AWESOME👈 considering that I can pick up my phone, click on this app, & BOOM I KNOW THE ENDING BALANCE ON MY EBT CARD!! I hardly ever keep reciepts that show my ending balance & I damn sure dont feel like calling the card every single time, just to hear my balance. Heres a short list of everything it does. ~ keeps track of ending balance ~ keeps track of your spending ~ shows stores where the most $$ was spent ~ offers some coupons/rebates etc.. It does more so just download it and see
I used to be able to get a balance, and a list of transactions and a graph comparing spending, etc. All in a minute. Now,,,,, it only gives me the current updated balance, that takes 3 minutes to load, it gives me my last transaction ,,,2 days ago. Not very efficient. I’m not sure if these app providers get scammed into letting someone “upgrade” their system, or if they screwed it up all by themselves. It would be nice to be able to get my balance, and my last 10 transactions.
Once, there was a time this app worked on my phone. Now, it won’t allow a sign-in attempt. Each attempt ended with a hang. I then deleted and reinstalled the app. The condition only improved to see the process end with a return to the Welcome screen. The app had to be deleted a second time. Not surprised. The debit card that I ordered as a companion arrived with the inability to be loaded at CVS or Rite-Aid pharmacies. I was only able to fund the card by paying PayPal to send 💰to it.
They’ve done some upgrades but it still tells you what you have left to work with after each shopping trip. Sometimes it’s slow in changing the amounts but it gets you there. It’s easier to use unless you have to do a factory reset on your phone. Then you’ll have trouble with this app and a few others if you didn’t back them up before resetting your phone. I’m having trouble now but I’ve got the number to DSS to call and get my true amount so I’m ok.
Sometimes I can’t view all my transactions. Even after reloading the app even days after the problem first arises and says it can’t load my transactions and yo try later, sometimes it still won’t load. It does at least have the balance and refreshes to check every time you open the app. It’s helpful and convenient to have the app for the card. Most of the “offers” were helpful to me, though one it suggests is not available in all states and I don’t qualify, so just keep a look out.
So easy ..accurate and quick to access. Ten stars if I could!!! I dont miss the days of saving receipts and calling the number on the back of the card. I recommend to all my friends who use EBT. They should just recommend the app when they issue the card. Its so much easier and would save them a LOT of calls Im sure.
Edit: This app used to be all of the below review until I updated my phone. I had no problems making a new account on my ipad but trying to log in with the same creditials as I made on my ipad gets me nowhete. It’s frustrating as I do not carry my ipad with me at all times. This is why I changed my rating from 5 stars to 1 star. This app is so helpful for me. I don’t have to keep receipts and I don’t have to go through the automated number to get my balance. Quicker and easier usage is a plus.
I do like the new lay out and the latest news and updates to the programs as well as additional resources and programs available. However the biggest issue I have are the job listings are all fake. It’s just nothing but data collecters and click bait. I put in my email address once and now I get flooded with spam email. These are giving false hope and all fake listings and can lead to having your personal information stolen. I’m shocked that they don’t do better and protecting us.
Great App – No complaints! It’s extremely easy to set up & use. It shows your balances, deposit information, and tally’s up where you shop. It also has job listings, plenty of coupons, recipes (I think there could be more recipes though!!) & special personalized offers. I’m using a Moto G Stylus! Phone is a little older than 2 years and it runs very smoothly on my device.
Before they updated the app I could check my upcoming balance. Now it only shows the 3 previous balances and I can’t see spending history. The new update is horrible and confusing. I have to call the card to check an upcoming deposit now. There is no point in this app when it only shows me 3 deposits from the month before that I no longer have available. It’s pointless.
The app is so so very convenient compared to previously before it was available. It makes checking balance so much more convenient! Adding to this all of the other services and notices that are available is very helpful in finding resources that otherwise we talk to me somewhere. The only reason I’m not giving it a five-star is because one too many times 🙂 the Apple crash or it’s not able to give you your balance and sometimes I said an inconvenient time.
Doesn’t work, full of scams. I’ve had this app for 2 weeks now. Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling. With good wifi and full bar signal it still “can’t connect” to tell me my balance. What does work, however, are the links to other apps and services that want your full email address and the password to your email, and ways to link your personal bank account, with banking passwords. Junk. Steer clear!
It’s slow and difficult to navigate. It was unnecessary to change the old version because it was basic and easy and ran a lot quicker; IT WAS SIMPLE !!! The new version doesn’t work just as well as the old version. The access to personal information it was uncalled for!!! RATE: 0 stars Side Note: You’re better off calling to get the updated balance.
While it’s great that you can check your EBT balance at a glance, the new debit feature is a shameless ploy at pawning off their own cards. I have a debit card for my SSI already, as most others I know do. It’s called Direct Express. I was looking forward to being able to check that balance via this app. Instead, I have to transfer everything over to their card and account to do so. Since I have absolutely zero desire to do so, it’s just useless clutter in the UI that I could do without.
I have to say this was one of my favorite apps. I loved the simplicity of it all. It had great resource information, coupons, and quick access to my food balance. It showed updates as far as pandemic and changes made to our balance, job listings. Help available for everyone. It was awesome. Now its totally changed and i tried for over an hour to create account or whatever they were wanting…Huge waste of my time. Couldn’t log in and after the huge hassle i dont want to even bother. Y Y Y??
Was a great app at first because it had a shopping list. I could make my list based on ad prices or prices I knew well enough to estimate. I knew before I got to the store if I was within my budget. Loved It! Then the shopping list was eliminated for “new offerings”. Nothing new has been offered. In my opinion, app is now useless. I can get my balance by calling the online number. USELESS APP! Don’t waste your time on it.
So handy. I was always losing my last reciept with my current balance, or having to call the automated system and enter my card number to get my balance which was just a pain. Seeing my balance also helps me budget better in an attempt to make my benefits last through the month, though I don’t know anyone that is able to do that. The app works great, it doesn’t update my balance automatically, though that’s not a big deal. I appreciate the money saving coupons provided as well. Thank you!
The app updates whenever you open it. It’s great for tracking purchases and shows you everywhere you’ve used your card. It is so convenient to be anywhere, especially the grocery store and know your balance right away. It even tells you the amount and the date your next deposit will be on your account. Not to mention all of the coupons and extra features this app offers. Would definitely recommend!
im giving it a 5 stars because when this app works properly its great. this issue is that it often cannot connect and has a red alert on the top of the screen. this can last anywhere from hours to 2 weeks even. deleting the app and reinstalling it does not help at all. updating the app does not help. once it does this you’re at the mercy of the app and however long it takes to connect again.
This used to be a great app. You could view your benefits etc easily. Since the upgrade, it is hard to find any of your info, other than your balance. It’s so “busy” and full of ads. It’s not user friendly like it used to be. About the only thing I can easily find on here is ads for free cell phone service and my current benefit balance, and considering how long it takes to refresh now, I’m not even sure that’s accurate. I still end up calling.
I believe the apps is a great concept and it can be good resource beyond checking your balance; knowing how much you spent as a way to budget your food benefits to last. The only two issues I have is the constant updates or system unavailable, which is likely due to the amount of individuals collecting benefits. My second issue is, they did not notify me that my car warranty is about to expire….
I absolutely LOVE this app. It saves so much time & is extremely easy to use. It not only gives you your balance & keeps track of spending, it lets you build a shopping list. The later saves tons of time because you can add & delete from it monthly. As most people tend to buy many of the same things every month, this saves you the headache & time of making a new grocery list.
If you have food stamps and/or money assistance, download this app. You will no longer have to save that last receipt or call the number on the back of the card to get your balance. Just setup the app which takes less than 2 minutes, and each time you launch it, it checks your balance(s) for you, food and cash. It tracks account deposits, and spending each month, plus offers loads of ways to save, plus special offers. Extremely convenient, and very easy to setup and use.
Sorry to say, but- if something’s not broken, why fix it? 😔 The previous format/layout was more compacted in segments, more eye-friendly, with a lot of white space around each segment, making it easier to read & check out at a glance. Now, it has depressing black background & all these random color blotches,-everything runs together, making it unpleasant & hard to track & find what you’re looking for. It’s not nearly as organized, neatly compacted, & readable with white background like before.
This is so very helpful! I love all of the tips and advice too, like, how you can get Amazon Prime, with free music, shows, and books, etc, for free the first month, and for $5.99 a month after that! Many other deals and programs offered as well, too, including help with pets, for their health care, neutering, and even food sometimes. Even helps with savings, coupons, etc. Plus, keeps you up to date on your current balance, as well as your spending. It’s a great app, I definitely recommend 💯😊
The only reason I gave it one star is because I applied for the debit card after they kept pushing it down my throat just to be told “not able to process a card for me” Even though my credit is fair, they run credit checks on you without telling you first. Running a credit check causes your credit score to go down. As for the app, I do like the new look and format and I haven’t had any problems as of yet. One other problem is your balance don’t pop up like the other app. You have to hunt for it.
It was fine the way it was before. Update sucks. I don’t want to open a providers checking account but it pops up every time. There should be an option to say “no thanks” so you don’t see it again unless you go to the menu to find it. But nope it pops up every time you open the app and you either have to hit get started to sign up for it or you hit skip for now to go past it and it’s still the first and most prominent thing on the home screen. It’s making me think about uninstalling permanently
I love the app but i liked when you were able to add your grocery list on it and it would deduct the pricing for you before checkout. Once it updated it doesnt do that anymore and i miss that very much. I loved that it was all in one and i didnt have to switch out of one thing to go tk another to figure out my balance, but i do like not having to call the number from the back of the card though. I just wish and want that gorcery list to be put back on to the app like it was before.
Frustrating and beyond horrible. I don’t know if the glitches extend to the entire system, but for CA, it SUCKS! Not sure if it’s an interface issue or something else, but EVERY time I try to login it kicks me out with an error message telling me to enter my Card & SUID Numbers again. When I do that, it prompts me to create a new account which then spins me to another error saying that there’s already an account w/ that info. Waste of time!!
This app works pretty much as intended. The only real issues I’ve had has been in the last couple of years when I’ve gotten new phones and had to reload the app, it had been Very difficult to reconnect with my account. I’ve had to change username and passwords to get back into the app which is frustrating. Otherwise, very convenient!
I miss the Fresh EBT version. For me, it always worked and accurately showed all my transactions. This new one does not and because it doesn’t, I end up having to call anyway. So what good is that for me? Going to give it another month as I am hoping this is just a transitional issue and will be resolved. They sure added a whole bunch of extra stuff I don’t even want, but how about fixing the basics — you know, so I can see an accurate transaction listing with an accurate/matching balance?
This app went from being the best to the shittest app just by one update they did that changed the whole app. Doesnt ever want to load and when it does most of the time it’s not the right balance. Doesnt matter if you use cell service or Wi-Fi still doesn’t load. Wish they didn’t change it I miss how it use to be. I also miss when they use to have a shopping list part on the app. You type in what your getting and the price and at the bottom it would tell you how much your gonna be spending.
The app has improved quite a bit since it’s inception, which is saying alot. Although, the abundant of offers they boast aren’t always as great as they sound, but some are worth checking out. Unfortunately, some of the FREE offers aren’t free at all and end up costing you more than if you were to just outright purchase them yourself. In reiteration, the app has improved and hopefully with upcoming updates will improve even more.
Overall, I love the app because it gives a lot of information about different ways to save money. However, I’m having trouble connecting to my state’s EBT portal or trying to clip coupons to my loyalty cards. The app worked fine until it had to be updated. Now I can’t clip any of my Food Lion coupons, just goes around in that “loading” circle. I have no issues with the Dollar General coupons. Please help. Thanks.
The app would be great if it would actually connect to my state. It feels like everytime I log on to it it’s having trouble connecting to my states EBT website or whatever it says. Kind of pointless if it can never connect…
I love this app but there are a few things that I would like to see updated. When you click to see the balance I wish the colors were darker when it shows balance. I’m 63 and my eyes aren’t as good as they once were. Also maybe show deposits that are about to hit card would be nice if possible. Great app non the less.
Use it all the time to keep up to date on my spending as well as the latest info on Benefits. The app has important discount’s like The ACP BENEFIT. Knocks $30 off your WiFi or phone Bill, you can actually get your service for free by using it just follow the easy to use links, some of the service providers offer a free or might have to pay $10 for a tablet phones are free from those who offer one as part of the deal/plan you choose just need to be poor to qualify simple qualifications. AWESOME!
The app is basic and simple enough to work your wayaround it . It gives all the necessary informationas well as addresses and phone numbers to access if you need something more. I have personally spoke with providers team and they have always been more than helpful! Started useing providers about six months ago and can honestly say it has treated me well!
