Spent hours getting a cart ready, go to checkout out and it’s fine, then at the last second they say “we changed your plan, now you have to pay twice the amount upfront, so you can pay less later.” no. I want to pay less now, pay more later. After removing stuff from my cart to lessen the upfront cost, they say they can not approve my purchase now. All of that for nothing. A waste of time. I definitely recommend Affirm over this app. Edit: look at their response. They do not care.
This app used to be great. But recently I’ve had problems allowing purchases. At one store, purchases are permanently processing the payment. On mercari, the klarna app tells me to select the option at checkout, but it’s not available. Their automated customer service is awful. It repeats replies and does not help at all.
Hadn’t used in a while. Go to pay, forces me to either pay more, or not complete my purchase, putting the remaining payments all down by half, but more than doubling my payment “due today”. Geniuses, if I could afford to do the bigger payment, I wouldn’t be using this app. Duh! Looks like I’ll be uninstalling and closing my account unless this gets fixed. Never had it happen the other times I ordered. Just this one. Kindly go screw yourselves. You were great during Covid. Now you’re just greedy.
Klarna is such a great and useful app that has gotten me out of a ton of binds with literally groceries, school supplies, general emergencies have nearly all been covered by them, granted Klarna can’t allow every transaction because sometimes the site won’t allow it or a few other reasons, but I definitely feel people should use this app and suggested it to friends and family. I do have to say that it is easygoing IF you don’t have to deal with customer support. Their support team is a nightmare
I’m done with Klarna. The ability to extend purchases over a short period of time is great, but there are many similar services with less hassle. I receive notices of failed payments that processed cleanly, and I had an authorization pop up a month later for a purchase that was paid in full – one that won’t release and is tying up my money. Their customer service has been no help, simply saying it will drop off eventually. Can’t trust them, won’t use them again. Check out Affirm
Edit to say I wish I could rate 0 stars. The copy/paste answer doesn’t help anyone, and if Pay in 4 isn’t available it shouldn’t wait until you’ve already tried to check out to tell you. What’s the point of unlocking higher purchase power if you end up having to pay half up front for literally every transaction? $250 purchase power but having to pay half on a $40 purchase. Defeats the purpose.
I’ve been using Klarna since it became available in the US. Twice I’ve followed their directions for a return and they have charged me for the item anyways. I have money for purchases just like the flexibility of paying in 4 sometimes. I will be paying all of my remaining balances and never doing business with Klarna again they have lost one of their first customers.
Customer service is clueless, & cannot help. Early payments that you make on loans makes the new system think they are late payments for a week or so. Causing so you cannot make any new purchases. Another issue, if you notice your payment does not go through on a loan & you want to make a payment on the spot to fix the issue, it does not even give you the option. This new upgrade or change to the system is awful. The old version gave you the option to make more than 1 payment. Bring it back pls
It stands to reason that someone with stellar credit would not frequently use a service like this. With that tidbit out of the way… 3 years, several thousand dollars worth in transactions, and we’re still playing Purchase Power roulette. This time last year, my limit was roughly $1200 dollars. Today it’s just over $600; and they’re asking %50 upfront. I want to be clear. I have NEVER missed a payment. Not once. Save the copy-paste response. I’m finally deleting this garbage.
Been using my card for over two years with no issues. Always paid on time if not early, high purchase power. Card is now declining at every merchant with no explaination. Chatted with support 3 times. Un-installed app and reinstalled, reset my account, reconnected bank info per their direction. Card still declining. Was told to stay on the chat to get tech support involved. Chat was ended and is now disabled. It’s been a week since I’ve been able to use my card with no explanation or help.
I believe there is an error in the coding of the Klarna app. When trying to make a purchase it shows: “Your Credit Score: [Score missing] Date: [Date missing] Scores range from a low of 300 to a high of 850. Key factors that adversely affected your credit score: [Score factors missing]” This data missing tells me the code is not pulling the scores correctly. Customer service and I am told that I just don’t qualify and to try later. Denied for 2 mos and I have always been approved before.
I’ve been using this app for a couple of years love it! I pay on time most purchases I pay in full. For some reason my when I try to pay early I no longer have that option. I actually have no potion to pay at all it just constantly says in progress with these rotating bars like it’s stuck. Contacted customer service they told me to clear out my cache I did that same issue. Why can I not make a payment or pay early? I don’t want to be charged late payment fees because the app is stalling.
I hate the new Klarna app. Who did Klarna survey for this redesign. The original design was perfect. Everything was layed out and easy to understand. The payment bar was excellent and the grouping was on par. Now I have to search for everything, can no longer see upcoming payments laterally, and I have to learn the app all over again. Thanks a lot Klarna. This was really exceptional, exceptionally terrible!!!!
Convenient, but the new integration into instacart is frustrating. It does work smoothly. However, you get 1 pending charge for more than your order (this was normal for the app), but now you get a second one once they adjust your payment to reflect what your new total was. It takes days for the original pending charge to fall off. So if you’re in a pinch and only have enough for the first charge, you will go negative. I preferred the original way.
I pay my payments on time with this app, but it decides when I can purchase anything and I keep paying to get my amount up. I could have an approval amount and be able to perfectly spend one week and the next it’s taken away, then it repeats and repeats STOP GIVING ME CREDIT IF I CANT SPEND IT. This also encourages people to stop paying there bills on the app as well, it’s awful and manipulative, don’t let someone build up there approved spending limit then reject there purchases.
This app is so easy to use. I do not have great credit, but they let me start small, and now I’ve built my spending limit higher. I’ve used it in the store twice. Just like tap and pay. Fees are very small. I believe it’s still $2. It is broken into 4 easy payments. Each time you make a payment on time, your credit limit goes up. After using it for months now, I’ve had no issues at all.
Was great at first but they have literally reduced purchase power on me repeatedly even when my payments are paid. Don’t do a combined payment either cause their system will mess up and not apply it to your account possibly for days. Now I’m going back to double check all my purchases and payments to make use my money was that was taken was applied to purchases.
Klarna has a system that looks at many factors to determine one’s ability to repay them in a timely manner, to decide one’s spending limit prior to each individual transaction! That just leaves one question: Why was I was not allowed a new purchase when my balance is zero and my purchsse power is $332? My Klarna account is linked to a checking account with regular monthly deposits, my credit score improves every month, and my payments to Klarna have always been on time, if not early.
Whose idea was it to change the design of the app. Whoever ever it was needs to be fired. What is this,now it’s even more difficult to track your payment, everything seems messed up and unorganized compare to the previous version. And again why is it when a payment is due let say today and the auto pay doesn’t go through the app labels it as late payment.if a payment is due today as far as I pay today the app shouldnt register it’s as a late payment 🤦
Too bad I can’t give this app a 0!! I have spoke many times with your “representatives”. They offer no assistance as they do not understand the language to appropriately assist. It’s absolutely absurd that your payment withdrawal takes weeks to finalize!!!! I’m two payments ahead and yet I’m told I’m past due. Seriously!! I’m about ready to let the account kick rocks. This is completely unacceptable!!!
