The app is OK, at best. It is frustrating to log into it on a new device. For some reason it crashes continually, it freezes, and it is an overall pain. After a while it stabilizes, but it is useless until that happens. It does have the largest database of foods, both by bar codes and from restaurants. But it doesn’t always work right. Always issues syncing with Samsung health and other platforms. Is it worth all the trouble? I think not at times. The developers have not been able, after all these years, to offer a stable and clean platform.

The first year was great; much better than WW, plus it’s free. I then decided to start using the step tracking, but integration with Google Fit and Samsung Health had been broken for 6 months. Step tracking is finally fixed (6 months later), but it would still be nice to have a manual step tracking option. Now, the app isn’t synching. I re-entered everything on the website and tried re-installing, but no luck. I’m now stuck using the website which is clunky and doesn’t have the barcode scanner.

Useful for what my goals are. It is slighlty annoying to have to close out the subscription screen every time it opens, but not enough to make me stop using it. My goals are fairly average so I don’t feel like I need the subscription. The database has most all the foods in our diet, if it doesn’t I can find something close enough. All in all, I would (and have) recommended this app. We also like it because it syncs with our Garmin fitness watches.

generally, it works ok and it’s got a huge database of foods which is largely accurate, but still requires a good amount of need for the user to QA the data because while it’s largely accurate, there are still plenty of incorrect entries. The site also experiences far too many issues where it throws up an error of “too many users, try again some other time”, particularly in recipe creation (the most time-consuming aspect of the site). very frustrating to create a recipe and have it not save 20% of the time. Hard to recommend, but depends on what you need it for, it’s not great, it’s not bad. it does have several very handy features – upc scanning, recipe imports – but there is a ton of room for performance improvement.
