I’m blown away at how feature rich and customizable this app is, while still being easy to use. I almost forgot apps can be this nice. It’s a book reader and a swiss army knife for documents. I enjoy how it compiles all the books you have in storage and displays them, instantly, right when you open the app.
Some things EPUB reader NEEDS to fix to get a better score: In text to speech, it needs to recognize contractions instead of saying the “t” separately in words like “can’t” or the “s” separately in possessives. The dimming function is terrible. I set it to use my device’s dimming, then a few minutes later I touch the screen and it dims so much I can’t see screen to fix it. Highlighting just covers text so you can’t read it.
The ads cover the content of the book you’re trying to read. I tend not to complain about ads in free apps because that’s what allows the app to be free but this is really bad placement. As for the app itself, the interface is a bit clunky but overall decent and if not for that ad placement this would probably be my new reading app.
This application does absolutely everything i want beautifully… With one exception… There is no option to upgrade the app to a paid version with no ads… Now the ads only show when you are working with settings or making choices… But still… If you would add this capability at a reasonable upgrade price i would happily change my rating to 5 stars. Edit: I did find librera pro and it is amazing. I previously was a fan of ezpdf.. but it doesn’t have epub support like librera does. A+
Sadly can’t download app on new pad and keep all my books. It has been put through my original sign on but does not sync. Kindle syncs okay but UPUB won’t. I have a lot of books there. Please help a 75 year pensioner who usually has no problems
App was working perfectly and recently has stopped showing new epub files in library. The only way I can access them is by clicking the automatic “open” button that appears upon downloading, and going through the “recent” list. I don’t know how to fix it. I’m scared of clearing my history for fear of losing the documents, and of deleting and redownloading the app for the same reason. Can you help?
Hi Developer, this is the best app i have come across reading epub, I like to listen to books sometimes and sometimes i want to speed read the text which has both options i love it. One thing i did not like always in anyapp that reads the text but does not highlight the text that it reads. This make you lost where the text is reading from. I request you to keep this feature.
I love this app so much and have spent hours reading via it. After the recent update the Font has changed and it won’t show the new books I download. Any news on a bug fix? Edit, too many bugs after recent updates
This is such a wonderful app. It gives you so much customisation that it’s unbelievable like three reading mode preferences and making your background look more like a book. Will recommend 100%
The app was working quite well actually, but recently it crashed and everything went back to default.. and somehow it now opens my documents in one standard Times New Roman font instead of the book’s default font. This makes reading books like Harry Potter(which uses its own arcane like Adobe Garamond Pro font) a less enjoyable experience. Importing font doesn’t work. I have tried clearing data, clearing cache and even reinstalling the app but nothing works, hence the poor star rating. Fix it !
This app is great for reading! Just a teeny bit suggestion tho, I’d love if it had annotation tools. Tools to highlight text or mark text with customizable colors. That would be so lovely!
This app is really cool my only problem is that it doesn’t read apostrophe correctly which sometimes get on my nerves.

I seldom bother to rate any application on playstore but this app literally made me open the playstore and rate it five stars! Bravo the developers!!! One suggestion I would recommend is to see the syncing of pages (turning over of pages) when listening mode applied. Sometimes, the page turns over quickly and the narration falls out of sync of the page if you are reading+listening. Thus, you have to scroll to the previous page again to read the rest of the lines. Except from that, 5 stars!💖
Update: turned off various options and it seems very usable, the ad banner is not a problem and a full screen ad when exiting the app is not a problem either. However, whenever I quit the app and go back to the same book as earlier, it throws me in a few hundred pages further that I’ve been. Again and again. Unbelievable.
So far so good, enjoying arabian nights for the first-time Dark screen option is nice at noon that when the lights are out
Absolutely fantastic! I’ve been using this app for months now and it has been fantastic. I noticed I’m no longer able to delete books from the app anymore, especially books saved on my SD card. And some book covers look weird when reading in dark mode. I hope these get fixed.
Terrible. Not only would it suddenly have the brightness change when I’m trying to get to my phone’s status bar and i had to go to a dark room to see and change the settings, the reading features are inconvenient, and also every time i try to exit a book to try and see what else i have and try to read the books without this change of book features, i get an annoying ad and have to wait a few seconds to skip. Every. Time. I would not recommend.
Ever since I started using Epub some years ago. I have recommended it to a lot of my friends. There’s so much to say about this app… I have used a number of readers and I can proudly say that it is the best reader anyone will ever use. ❤️❤️ I recently downloaded the update and I can see that things are more beautiful 🥰. I recently had a problem with one of my friend i recommended it to. He can no longer access the library tab and neither the preferences settings. What can he do?

Latest update reset me completely! I lost my library and had to fish for all my books again, lost all my bookmarks, and now it’s become an ad machine all the sudden. What gives guys??? It was fine before. I’ll continue to use for now, but for the love of God, don’t make me have to lose all of my set points again with your next update. Very annoying!

This is definitely my favourite reading app so far, I love the different ways ou can read your book. It has so many little features that just make the whole reading experience enjoyable! I would have given it a five-star rating if only it had the option of converting text to speech, so that I could take a break and simply listen to the book every once in a while. But overally, I have thoroughly enjoyed using the app.

Wonderful app. It helped me pass so much time reading many books and stories. I have one suggestion from a problem that i encountered: when highlighting a word to view the meaning in the dictionary that one has in one’s phone, the highlighted word or phrase would have to be manually copied then pasted in the dictionary instead of just appearing in the search bar of the dictionary as what it appeared to be. Can you all fix this so that the highlighted word appears when clicked on the dictionary?
This app, could be said to be superb; save the poor access to the settings within, it difficult to access the green ribbon. I’m unable to play audio, when I want to, the green ribbon pops up intermittently and all of a sudden disappears … Its really wanes the supposed credits to this app. Must commend the developers, they did a nice work.
Excellent Experience, I would say. It does everything expected of it, quite pleasant reading experience. I had a challenge with it skipping the apostrophe in possessive pronouns, but I discovered that it could be corrected in the settings. I accessed TTS through the headset icon on bottom left and removed apostrophe from list of punctuations it should skip, and voilà! Good job team.

The best reader out there. Reads all types of files. Wonderful options that can be easily switched between without disturbing the flow of reading. The pdf reflow was truly wonderful. Because of this app I have even let go of the idea of getting a new E-reader. Congratulations, team and a big thank you from a die-hard bookworm.👍
A very good little app, although it does slow down once you get over a thousand books on it. Use it a lot (over a thousand books most of the time).
It’s just that the edges do not completely hide when reading otherwise it has some great and useful features!
Wonderful app. It’s a little touchy which could use a looking at but otherwise love this app. Avid reader hard to find a good app that let’s me easily read my epub files.
Best night read. Oled with black background and red text is my favourite. ReadEra didn’t have that theme. Also can use, acceptable, google engine tts directly from app.
