Havent used it for awhile, logged in and saw all my saved tabs. Looked up a new song, saved it, went back to my tabs and they are disappeared (aside from the one i just saved). I was already logged in at first and still am. Not a huge problem but a big inconvenience, will have to go through and add them all manually. Just wanted to let yall know this could be a problem. OTHERWISE: i love this app and everything about it.
I’ve used the UG website for over a decade and the tabs/community are fine, i like the features. The app as a whole is another story though. ive started writing tabs down in a notebook oldschool style again instead. there are SO many ads and prompts to purchase that it makes it difficult to use. There is no comparable app, ill say that much, if there WAS an alternative I’d be using it. Guess I’ll go back to the browser version. im SICK!!!!! of being bombarded w micro transactions!!!!
Updating review. Increasing to 4 starts from 3 but also reporting a new bug. I’ve been using UG app (Pro version) on my Samsung Tablet for gigging and it’s very useful. It’s usually fairly stable. This morning in preparation for a show later today, we practiced a few songs and noticed that literally ALL the songs were scrolling much faster than normal. My scroll settings were the same but the songs were scrolling faster. We practiced every day up to today and didn’t notice the problem until this morning. I literally had to go back in and reduce the scroll speed down by 3-4 increments. There was an update on 4/2 but I didn’t recharge until last night so thinking it didn’t update until then. Was the scroll speed adjusted or affected in this most recent update? Original review: Used to be great, editing is broken now on Android. Very frustrating. At least I can edit on the computer. Update: Editing on the phone is still difficult at best. I do all my editing on the computer. Just easier. It would be great to have a button that allows you to increase or decrease the font size on the phone. You can do it with the pinch in/out but it’s hard to do because of the scroll feature. You need to hit it just right. A +/- button would be better. Also, the auto scroll needs to have a faster speed on the phone. I do enjoy the app for live music playing and I’m a subscriber. There was a recent update and now I’m getting full page home screen popup ads but I haven’t traced it to this app – yet. More to come.
User interface throws up so many obstacles, I just want to see the chords to the song. The browser version is simpler and possibly better although the functionality is limited. When I click on a link to a song it takes me to a page filled with everything but that song. Plus when I log in it says I am Unregistered, although I paid for a subscription. When I click Open in App it takes me to the installation page of the app in the Playstore, not the song. This all seems backwards.
