This game needs an internet connection to play
It is a fun game, but I wish it was a little easier to progress without spending money. Once you hit the third or 4th course you are stuck there because everyone has better clubs and having only power 1 or 2 puts you at such a great disadvantage. It would be nice to be paired against people with similar club strengths. Why should I be in the 4th or 5th course just to lose to people who have been playing the end game for a long time.
This game was okay at first, but it’s nearly impossible to progress through the game without using real money. I just spent 5000 coins on a course, just for the game to crash after the first round and reopen, only to reveal that my coins were gone and I barely have enough left to play on the first course. Mind you, I had full bars on 5GUW with the game up to date, so there’s zero reason this should be happening. And this isn’t the first time. It’s the SEVENTH.
Glitches. Technically, I love this game, but lately, it seems to glitch alot. And I do mean A LOT. The ball ‘skips’ and I have even had to reshoot the ball, after already shooting and making the shot…and it always casues my second shot count ON TOP of the shot I just made…in short, I can go from making three points to seven points, all becasue a glitch makes me reshoot after I already shot and sunk the ball. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, but it doesn’t help. Any ideas?
I was enjoying for quite some time but starting to think it is rigged. I play every break every day but all of a sudden I’m not using my vip club anymore. I never go in to change it. This has happened several times. But here lately it’s been when I try to play a high stakes game and all of a sudden I suck because I’m not using the club I’m used to. Starting to really question it not to mention it crashes when I try to play these higher stakes games as well when any other time I have no problem
Good game to pass time! But the thing is, is that recently I have been trying to play one of the levels and it enters me but it kicks me out right after the first or second round. Sometimes, what will happen is I will “pay” in coins to get into the levels and it immediately kicks me out right after I paid to get into that level. Makes me mad because I don’t have money to buy more coins. Both of those bugs need to get fixed. If it doesn’t, I’m removing it from my phone cause this is rediculous.
This game is a lot of fun but there are some really frustrating things with it. The ads don’t load constantly. Sometimes you’ll have to wait 5 minutes. There’s no real explanation as to why. Some of the physics are just broken and in very minor ways, but those minor ways add up to be very frustrating. They also seem to change the physics every few weeks so if you’ve made the same shot 100 times now it doesn’t work and you have to change. switching from Wi-Fi to mobile makes the whole game reboot
Miniclip has decided to ruin another one of their games that had nothing wrong with it. Why would you remove rush mode? Is it because you wanted to use that spot where it used to be as another advertising spot because your so money hungry? I think that is the real reason. You aren’t trying to improve the game at all, you are trying to farm it dry. Classic mode is filled with bots and cheaters that can teleport to the hole in one shot. I highly doubt the report feature does anything to stop cheaters as Miniclip has had a known history of not caring about cheaters in their games at all, in fact they still don’t. This game has fallen off over the past years since release, the game just feels fake and dull now, the playercounts are fake too. Same old boring golf passes with only like 2 good rewards, the background has been the same for like 4 years now with no holiday or seasonal updates to it. Same old connection bug where sometimes the game will take the entry fee and then kick you back to the lobby which has been in the game for how many years now? Same old progress bug where some players will just login one day and all of their progress will be gone with no way to get it back. The unhelpful support team that doesn’t care about its players at all and that also takes forever to get back to players just to respond with the same copy paste emails which are no help to players. The other bugs and glitches that have been in the game for how long now? The removal of rush just made me want to uninstall, when there was nothing wrong with rush mode either. Not everyone wants to play Classic, rush mode was working in perfect order. The developer response is just copy paste claiming that they are trying to improve it when they are not. Bring back rush mode, and start caring about players instead of the money, Miniclip.
This golf game is pretty fun! Its simple, has fast matches and is enjoyable. However, it has performance issues and issues with connectivity. I have lost thousands and thousands of coins from randomly being pulled out of a match and sent back to the main screen with no warning. Occasionally, a message displays regarding a weak connection, but may happen even when on a good wifi connection. Once disconnected, you cannot rejoin the game you were in and lose all coins spent. Don’t buy coins.
Great game. I love that it has different kinds of golf courses to play. I also love the option to challenge friends. The only negative down fall is you can’t challenge friends in Sakura Gardens and Lava Land. I wish it had options to select these courses. I always have a blast when playing with friends. It’s just a shame we can’t enjoy the other courses together as well. Other than that it’s a wonderful game. Highly recommend.
This is a fun game, and I enjoy it mostly…But I cant give it more than two stars, specifically for the fact that the game mechanics are so all over the place and inconsistent. You can shoot the same power (counting the arrows) and the same angles and get different shot power or just completely thrown out of bounds. Again, I love the game, and if they ever fix the mechanics I’ll raise my rating.
Could be better if game wouldn’t restart in the middle of a round and I lose the coins I used to enter game?! Several (2 times in a row just now) instances where the game restarts in the middle of a round and I lose the coins used to play round. Have lost hundreds of thousands of coins this way. Now that I’ve paid for several seasons it’s frustrating. Other than this issue (again super frustrating) the game is awesome! Will update to 5 stars once resolved. You could credit my coins back! 😉
Fun time killer, but would like for the game to not crash while I’m in the middle of a match. I’ve seen balls disappear nowhere near the hole and reappear going in. This makes me think there’s hackers in this app. Ads aren’t overplayed, which is a plus but the game doesn’t give very many opportunities to win prizes. Overall a 3 star game
Fun time killer but too laggy. Ads are minimal and mostly used for upgrades and coins. Big con is that it’s laggy a good amount of the time and that causes some players to register on the field even though you just saw them fly off the map. And lately it’s been happening more and more as my level increased. I don’t know if there’s any correlation.
Some issues. I’m not sure if it because the opponents may not be live, or just pre-loaded scores…but i have watched the others players shoot a 5 or a 6 on a hole, but get scored for a 3 or a 4. Otherwise, I had enjoyed this game a lot. Many fun holes to play on, and a nearly decent emulation of physics. UPDATE: I now have many videos showing a preset scoring that differs from the actual shots of “other players”, and it seems to score in the players favor if you spend real money in the game.
Great game. Love that they’ve kept the levels fresh over the years, but still hate the amount of glitches cost you entire rounds. It only happens once every 10-15 matches but it’s extremely frustrating when it does. Otherwise, a very excellent game. Rounds are quick and new stuff is easy to earn without forced ads.
They just changed it in a bad way…until 3 days ago there were 2 types of golf games a player could play, one in which you have to finish in as few shots as you can, and one in which you have to finish as fast as you can. The second type of playing is no longer available, and that was the one that i was usually playing, it’s more entertaining than the other one. I hope it’s only something that will be fixed very soon, because if not, i’ll uninstall the game and stop playing it.
After nearly 4 years I have finally had it with this game. I’ve played thousands of matches and reached lvl 92 but something changed. Over the last month there’s been in increase in money stealing glitches and for some reason all the “players” have become insanely good. It nearly impossible to win a match now without zero mistakes or bad luck and then you have a shootout with every player. I don’t know what you did miniclip but you lost a long time player in your effort to make people buy coins.
It’s a great game and I love playing, except the same score concept where you get bumped down a placement while having the same score as others even though you finish the round before them. So I finished the round in 3 strokes, first one to complete the course. Then the next player finishes with the same stroke count as me… but I get bumped down to 2nd place.??. That shouldn’t be how it goes should it?? If I’m wrong please enlighten me. I guess I just don’t see it that way as being correct.
Played this game for a long time. Made an in app purchase, it froze the app and would not reopen. My bank account was charged, but still no record of my purchase in the game. After many restarts of my phone, I finally had to reinstall the app. I lost my account, my entire player history, and was never compensated for the purchase. Save you time and play a different golf game.
Starts out fun then gets frustrating. I really enjoyed playing the game, unlocking new items, then it got frustrating. What I find most frustrating is the controls. Every match I played I got frustrated because the camera was not in the correct angle. I tried to shut off the auto-follow but that made it even worse. The biggest problem is that depending on which side of the screen you drag from, the camera moves different ways. It’d be way better if the camera moves were consistent.
As with all Miniclip, scant rewards for expensive items. The game has fun gameplay, but unless you spend a ton of money there isn’t much incentive to stick by it as a moderate spender and especially if you want to play free. Sometimes the game is unreasonable and some may quit. On the upside, it’s very addicting and has phenomenal potential if the rewards were worth it and the margin of error too small for new players.
fun golf game, decent graphics and gameplay. the multiplayer only format has some problems though and this is a very much pay to play type of game. you have to spend coins to play a round and you only recover that money by placing 3rd or higher. I’m okay with losing against other people, but what’s frustrating is that if i want to continue playing i will have to spend real money to buy in game currency. this means it’s hard to practice, which means it’s hard to place in the top 3 consistently.
Edit: Removing stars bc updates kick you out often and take your coins without letting you play. It’s very, very buggy. If they fix it, will give it 5 stars again. Right now, it’s not a finished game. Zero ads. Yes, zero. You just get to play the game. It does take some time to build up your club levels or a small amount of money if you want to pay. It’s definitely not needed though. Should make it so beginners get up to speed quicker but with no ads, gotta make money somehow!
Fun game. But too many cheaters in the game. When you play 3 hole in 8 strokes and when the round ends shows you in first place. Then it goes to the screen to award the winnings, somehow now you are in 4th or 5th place and lost by 5 strokes and the three that are now ahead of you somehow played all 3 holes in a total of 3 holes and on 3 seconds, it’s not possible without cheating. Happens way too much on the higher levels and will keep me from wanting to keep playing the game.
I have enjoyed this game for a few months, albeit not getting far without being willing to purchase things. I have tried to play the new mayan level twice and both times it took my coins then returned me to the level choice screen as if I lost without playing. With the absence of a contact us or help screen, I am writing a review in the hopes that something positive will come from the developer to rectify the issue. I’m not asking for much, just the fees refunded.
Crashes often for no reason and I’ve lost so many coins to this. You start a game, the entry fee is taken, and next thing you know you’re taken to a loading screen where the game crashes and you lost your entry fee. Other than that this game is entertaining and fun. Just beware of the crashes, you will be losing coins and losing chances for the mini game.
This game was fun for a while. The camera is super annoying when speed is a factor. I got to a point where I simply couldn’t progress to the 3rd course. As you level, it seems you play with people at your level. Then they always win and you can’t even touch their scores. Probably because they spent money on clubs. Fun game, but incredibly frustrating that you can’t progress.
This is the best minigolf game I’ve found, however, there are so many problems. The biggest being that they regularly kick you out of games bc something is messed up on their end. They don’t give back the coins you paid for the entry fee if that happens either. A simple solution would be to not charge the entry fee until people reach the results screen (could happen in the background), but they’ll never do it bc the more coins they take from you, the more you’ll be tempted to spend $ for more.
This game is really fun to play frankly. The gameplay in concept form is as addicting a game I’ve played. However there is no consistency or balance. You can easily tell that the game changes up the power needed for shots at random times, which will frequently make you lose. This was the case a year ago and is still the case now. Miniclip clearly knows as this point and is either incapable of knowing how to fix it, or wants it to be that way. As long as you remember that, it’s quite fun.
The way the camera works doesn’t make sense, and everyone should start from the same position. You can be at an extreme disadvantage or advantage just by where you start, which in my opinion in unfair. As well as the power system, it seems like at random time even when the power bar is maxed you dont hit the ball as far as other times.
A nice game that doesn’t require spending actual money to enjoy. However, getting kicked from games and losing coins has gotten ridiculous. The inability to play without a wi-fi connection makes it beneath worthless. EDIT: The game is now literally unplayable. I can’t start a match (it tells me no one is available to play even though it shows hundreds of people online), I can’t open chests, and, of course, the same old problem of losing coins has never been fixed. A complete waste of time.
I like the competitive nature. The think the battles are somewhat short, but still fun. I wish the that I didn’t have to buy my way into a higher level. It’s too hard to make enough money to get into the higher levels. Then end up loosing it all. Maybe try opening the higher levels with a certain amount of wins on the previous level, or experience. But the game is still fun to play. Also add practice levels.
Update: 1/21/2021 – support is not responsive to addressing the rewards advertisement connectivity issues so uninstalled Version 1.18.0-76 has issues and support hasn’t been very helpful. It started with reward advertising failures. No videos available. Which, I could live with. However, now when trying to play a round, the app acts like it is starting then bounces back to the course selection screen after taking coin for the previous attempt to play. Unacceptable!
Wildly inconsistent physics. Play the exact same hole, the exact same way, with the same club and get way different results. Sometimes full power will go a decent distance, pretty short or sometimes fling you off the other side of the map. Other players’ balls disappear and reappear elsewhere or curve. Ball flying forward and lands on top of a flat surface and somehow bounces backwards. You will end up winning/losing in a way that you never gain coins without paying real money.
No Longer FUN! In golf, whoever completes the course in the least amount of shots wins. This game had an added (timed) feature in order to break ties. So those who completed the course with the least amount of shots AND in the least amount of time won! It made the game very fun and fast paced. They now removed that (timed) feature and added a tie breaker shoot out at the end of the match in order to break ties. They removed the best part of the game. WHY !
The game itself is fine, I’ve been playing for a while. The occasional glitches where the ball goes through a wall or some crazy physics are forgivable. The connectivity is issues are a huge isse though. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve “lost” because the the connection is interrupted for 1 second. Even more often than that, before a match even connects, it goes back to the home screen and I lose my “money”. Easily millions have been lost to connection issues. So frustrating
The timers suck. The new timers really suck. Making one mistake and you can’t even complete a map sometimes. You turned classic mode into rush. It’s the same thing. I want more of a difference. Add more maps to the rotation than just 3 rounds decides the winner or give us the chance to pick longer courses. Need to add solo offline mode. Also it feels very pay to win which kills the gameplay. But you already know that
Started off brilliant, was progressing slowly but fairly. Now all of a sudden, I’m getting disconnects when joining games and it still takes my coins, and ‘bot’ opponents getting absolute impossible scores in games to make sure I don’t win no matter how well I play the level. Sort it out, the sudden disappearance of any fair play is close to making me uninstall. I suppose its all a ploy to make people spend money!!
One of my favorite for years and it’s one that I have purchased credits. Unfortunately lately it will take the coins after picking a challenge but spins me back to the pick challenge screen. It was annoying when I played free but now I was paying so I feel I deserve a credit. I am contacting the proper department as directed on this page now.
Good game but the inconsistent physics makes it one of the most annoying and frustrating games out there. The winner is already selected before your game starts and if the game doesn’t want you to win you are not gonna win, it will adjust the physics so your shots that you have played hundreds of times before will now suddenly go all over the place. Very disappointing. Also the starting positions are either a huge advantage or disadvantage making it very unfair.
