Wait times are not accurate. This is in the app and on the signs at the attractions. Sometimes they are close, but other times it seems the lightning lanes get all the spots and the wait time can be double the posted time. This happened to us on several rides. The real problem is probably poor lightning lane management. Back to the app, when you click on an attraction to get a lightning lane, it shows the whole list of lightning lanes and you have to find the attraction again and click on it again. We had a super large group. I think it probably works best to get everyone s accounts linked together, but we didn’t do that so we were constantly coordinating to get lightning lanes together.
The app is just horrible. Not only is the lighting pass a JOKE. when booking times it will show one time. For example 11 Am to 12pm but once you book it, the time changes to 1145 to 1245. Ordering food was the easiest. But overall my Disney experience was by far the worst I’ve ever had. The app didn’t allow us to choose rides we wanted to go on for the lightening passes toward the end of the night even though it showed times available. Disney definitely needs to fix that.
It is THE app for Disneyland; it has a lot of helpful resources to find what you need during your trip there, it is pretty key to the modern Disney experience. One annoyance is that the app tends to crash. It seemed to be restarting evey third time I opened it up. At least the app isn’t forgetful, you can pretty easily resume from where you left off. Also, there were a few times I attempted to pull up a lightning lane pass and the app just showed a blank screen. I had to force quit and restart.
it’s ok. I find myself using a printed map in the park more to find where I want to go, then just check the wait time on the app. The food ordering feature isn’t convenient because you have to pick time slots 30 to 40 minutes after ordering when you can just stand in line for 15 and get your order. When searching dining locations, it doesn’t let you know when restaurants are closed unless you go to a separate screen. Not helpful when you’re just browsing for somewhere near by.
