Very Helpful App. Would be even more helpful, if I had subscriptions to worry about. I think the option of lowering your bills would be amazing. If they didn’t charge you a % of the amount they help you save. I mean what’s the point if you’re not saving the full amount? On top of the cost of their service. However, it wouldn’t be so bad for them to take a % if they save you $50 or more. Just my opinion. I do still enjoy seeing everything needing to be paid in one place.
Keeps logging me out. I love this app and have the Premium version but it keeps logging me out every 2-3 days. If not more often. I have the automatic savings goal setup which is great and it has helped me keep track of subscriptions I need to cancel and sometimes forget I have. But I’m tired of always being logged out of my account. I saw the message and wasn’t able to respond right away. Now 48 hours later the message is gone and I cannot log back in at all.
This is a very useful application for keeping track of what you have and where it goes. It will even lower bills and cancel subscriptions. 6 months later…Great App!! 6 months later (again!) Still reliable, good insights on spending. Also shows how much in custom categories, which I find useful…still a great app.!
I have Rocket mortgage so I downloaded the Rocket money app since it’s free for me and I love how it keep’s my finances right in front of me when I log on … it tracks my bills and the amount and when they are due and what I spend. I’ve never been a great money manager and this app has helped me tremendously. I think it has a lot of great features, can track your subscriptions and they will help you lower your cable bill and others. It has helped me. Thanks.
Works pretty well, with the exception of duplicating some of my transactions which ive had to manually fix. That part is tolerable, but as other people are mentioning, the app logs me out every 2-3 days. This has occurred several times for me in the last month or 2. I’ve contacted support on this each time, it’s time this gets resolved more permanently or else I’ll be finding another budget app.
Editing because I spent some significant time talking to my bank, who finally admitted that they don’t support any 3rd party financial apps like this. But I loved this app, it helped me so much! I’m only knocking off a star because it continued saying that it was successfully synced for a few days after it stopped updating. That could have been bad if I hadn’t caught it
With the Premium membership, I like the ability to create rules and to manually add transactions. When I still had the free membership, Rocket successfully lowered my internet bill by $30/ month, which was a great savings. What has been really annoying is that the app logs me out every 4-5 days, not 45 days, even when I select the “keep me signed in” option. If I hadn’t already paid for the membership, I’d stop using the app. The most recent update also didn’t fix this for me.
Not a fan on how they inflated the bill negotiation with spectrum by only getting $25 for 12 months and $20 for 36 months. Still saved me $660 technically for a year so they can get a bigger cut I guess. 35% feels steep when all the savings are temporarily, however. 35% just feels like a bit much for what I could have done in a 5 minute phone call. The rest of the app seems ok so far despite the fact I need to redo my bank connection every time I use the app.
They really should be more transparent about how much it’ll cost you to save. All of the features that attracted me to download rocket are *premium*. This isn’t mentioned in their ads or the fact that they take a percentage of the subscription cancellations savings above and beyond the premium charge. Seems 💩 that everything isn’t transparent beforehand . Edit: *They did help out after I left this review but until the app and ads are more transparent this review stays as a heads up to others.*
Very convenient way to look at all the streaming services in one place. I often will only pay for one streaming service at a time like Hulu, watch the shows that I want on Hulu for a month and then drop it and pick up Netflix or Disney+ or Paramount+ for a month. I can see exactly when I’m going to be charged for a new month of something so I don’t have to remember each payment date. Helps me stay organized with when my phone and Internet bills are coming up.
I love using the Rocket Money app. It gives me a clear financial picture in seconds. I can make decisions about my money usage quickly. It also keeps me abreast of subscription payments and monthly bill payments. Oh, and having my current credit score available is great. All uI can say is, “Get the app and skyrocket your financial future beyond your dreams.”
I decided to try rocket money after all of the social media ads 😂. I have never been great at tracking my spending and honestly managing money in general was stresses me out. After putting everything into rocket money I feel so much less stress. Everything is right there in the app. Notifications are super helpful and I feel so much more confident with my financial understanding. Not to mention saving goals, bill updates notifications if bills increase etc. definitely worth it.
This is the app I never knew I needed! It appropriately and accurately tracks all my expenses and tells me how much I’m spending in each category. The most amazing thing was the Bill negotiation! They saved me $264.00 on my Spectrum Bill! I attempted to lower it myself with no success. I figured maybe I’ll give it one last shot with rocket money. I was overwhelmed by the amount of money they saved me! And when it increases again they said they will negotiate again on my behalf!
I’m getting ready to cancel my premium membership and delete the app. This app worked perfectly when the company was named Trubill. Now it’s trash. It keeps adding reccuring items that I have deleted. I’ll manually add something and set a rule, it’ll “apply to all” and will list the charges…but wont actually apply the rule to the charges. Or on the opposite side, it’ll apply the rule to all the charges listed, but it won’t include anything new that falls under that rule. Useless.
My experience with rocket money is that I don’t want to have an experience, yet I’ve been forced to have one with them. I have deleted my account, cancelled my plan, and supposedly DE-LINKED my bank account from it, BEFORE and AFTER re-activating my supposed “deleted” login, yet I am STILL getting update emails of recent transactions. I DO NOT want to have anything attached to them, but it seems that they have no regards to my want of that.
Dont fall for the SCAM TRIAL!!! I recently installed rocket money in order to help with my finances. I chose a free trial to see if the app was right for Me. After a few days I realized I could not afford another subscription. So I cancelled the trial .. almost a week went by and all of a sudden Im being charged for the year subscription to rocket money, isn’t this supposed to help my financial situation instead it made it WORSE!!
The app is really easy to navigate and use. I’ve saved hundreds of dollars already by canceling subscriptions I’d forgotten about. It also has a really cool dashboard. I can see my net worth, subscriptions, automatic bank withdraws , and much more. There’s are savings and goal options. Highly recommend this app
Was skeptical about how useful this app would be because I thought it was just for finding reoccurring subscriptions. I ended up paying for the app tough after using it because it does more than that. It tracks my utility bills and all spending and charts it out for me and has predictions on what my bill cost for the month and spend money and just helps me track my money a lot better. I know a lot of bank apps have similar features but for me this apps were just now useful than my banks.
It looks like it would be good for other people who don’t have as tight of reigns on their finances. It’s just not for me and offers no features that I don’t already have through just knowing how to do all that it does for a person. If you are the type that doesn’t really track what is going on with your accounts, definetly get it. Past that, it’s not worth it considering all the free tools and a little effort that is at everyone’s disposal already.
Awesome software. I never thought budgeting, tracking bills and being able to see my net worth would be so easy and simple to understand. Rocket Money is a one stop place for everything financial. Forget excel, or any other app or program. The monthly fee is worth every penny, It even can help get the rid of subscription. There so many features to learn, explore and use.
