useful, but so slow and unresponsive… and credit card process is so slow and cumbersome. why does it only check the credit card when i want to order and not when i add it? Edit 2020: still slow. Asks to choose location too many times. Just slow. Much slower than any other app on the phone. Edit 2021: still slooooow every tap brings up spinny icon for a few good seconds. Edit 2022: still slooooow.
I think the deals offered through the app are great, and it’s really convenient to use, when it works. Sometimes you have to fill out your order several times to ensure that you are able to use the discount you are after, which is frustrating. Far more frustrating is the recent problem that has developed where whenever I launch the app, it closes immediately. I’ve checked for updates, I’ve attempted to investigate, but no dice. Really unnerving, when considering that they store payment info.
I have tried the app several times now and it is not easy to use. After submitting an order on several occasions, I will get an error message saying the order didn’t go through, yet my card us charged. The money is refunded over the next couple if days, but it is a pain. Additionally, it wont let you combine gift cards with other payment methods. You have to reload the subway card, which cant be done in the app, but on a seperate site. It really eliminates any convenience the app might offer.
Not all menu items are on it. App is slow and glitchy. Adding a new sandwich to favorites never works. Update: 5/2/22 STILL the most glitchy restaurant app I’ve ever used. It’s been updated so many times and still the glitches persist or evolve and new ones that are more frustrating than the last. Like the fact that i can’t see your actual shopping cart/bag so you can never check out. Brilliant, subway, now you really stopping your own business. And the app is sooooo slow.
