I originally DLed bc this app said “simple” and I didn’t want a bloated file manager… But they took simple to the extreme so it’s way too limited imo (especially if you don’t pay). You can’t cut, copy, or paste files. No grid view. Antequated “search” function. Ongoing thumbnail glitch. Can’t view files or swipe to view them successively. No custom settings like color options. Etc, etc. Uninstalled for a more user-friendly file manager that meets my needs.
Damn. Liked the simple life while it lasted, but when “X-PLORE” packs so many features into his free app. Why would anyone pay for this, now very-lame, also-ran? You had some goodwill built-up and you threw it away instead of capitalizing on it to introduce users to one very-useful product. One that people could purchase. And would purchase, with no hesitation based on the track record and what they were already getting from you. Because you were ‘cool like that’. Now you are very uncool.
This file explorer is okay but too basic. Both video and picture files look the same. Normally videos would have some play button icon on it or something. Also files and folder look similar and there seems to be no way to make the icons bigger. I like the color customization of the app but I need a better file explorer and I don’t think the pro version would have the features that I expect.
There is no categorization of files and no way to do it manually. You can’t look for “audio” files or search in “documents” “video” or “downloads”. If the stock file manager does this why can’t this? If you don’t know the name of the file you want it’s far from ‘Simple’ to find it. Huge disappointment. Using the Pro version on Samsung Note 20 ultra.
