I love the app, it is very minimalist and saves a lot of data for on the go searching. My only complaint is that the drag down to refresh is a little sensitive. I can be scrolling through an article and the browser thinks I am trying to refresh the page. Also, windows that I’ve manually closed before exiting the browser mysteriously reappears when I reopen the app.
After the latest update (on 4/18/2019), Opera Mini (beta) is now serving me “popover” advertising when I click on a link. it doesn’t happen every time, but it occurs on many different websites, including from Google searches. pressing the “back” button brings me to the page I originally tried to open. I searched the options, and haven’t been able to find any new controls or settings. Nothing in the release notes indicates any changes in ad serving for Opera.
I’ve been using Opera for PC and the regular android version for about 2 yrs. I’ve even convinced several friends to switch over. I just bought a new android tablet and because it’s a bit slow on memory I thought I would try Opera Mini. Unfortunately it doesn’t feel nearly as streamlined. There’s no back/forward buttons in tablet mode, and the UI back button only switches tabs rather than taking me back to my previous page. Also the lack of a “true” dark theme kinda sucks. Needs some work!
was my favorite until the last set of updates over these past 2 weeks. add blocking is fine. but extreme data savings mode changes make it nearly unuseable. if i click on links in the website, something else launches. i wish it would roll back 3 weeks. High data saves but not as much as extreme which doesnt really work correctly now. otherwise great app
I don’t even know what to say. The app seems like it would deliver on it’s promises but then again, I can’t find out because I can’t even use it. It takes forever to load and eventually crashes in the end there by wasting my time, battery and maybe data… 😩☹️
As an Australian sad to see it does not seem to exist here. Yes we speak English, but there is no English (Australia) language option. So how to personalize my news option and get more Australian content? Presently it’s US and Globally focused with the remainder based on phones global location. Not what I want. Needs better options on desired sources ( location)
Sucks since last update! Constant freezes. Unresponsive. Great browser gone bad. Also getting trash full-screen ads that have to count down to be dismissed. Opera has lost its way.
This app is amazing, could you believe that i was downloading a movie from a site and the internet network bridged cause of that the download paused i waited but bcos of my inpatient i had to restart my phone, after the restart my download automatically resumed . THATS AWESOME !!!!! My fear was that the download would be canceled but upers mini beta browser suprised me
done the task in a good manner. But the downloaded item/ file disappears. ✡ if you add the possibility of saving web page as pdf, it will be best.
It’s very fast and secure… And also when put on default web browser, you get access to some websites with bundle free
This is actually my first time writing a review, but I really feel like I have to because I’m disappointed. The app is generally very good, from the ad blocker, to the timely downloads, I do love it. But why does it take time to load/setup. It makes it very impossible for you to urgently search for something. For instance, you click the app, and it takes about 2-3mins to load, why? I personally think that’s the most painful thing about most Opera apps I’ve used
Use to deliver that’s in the before but now can’t say anymore,can’t pause downloads cause it won’t continue next time,can’t minimise cause if I do my downloads will stop automatically.
Opera Mini is best Web browser that I have ever used. I use it to download music, videos, search the Internet. And there is no comparison
I updated my opera mini beta two days ago and since that time i haven’t been work properly i can’t download it keep on showing me i have virus in my phone i flash the phone and download the app again still it showing me it have virus i was directed by opera mini to download an app but uptill now it still not working please check into it
Very poor services pertaining the shake and win game. I won five hundred voucher and Upto date I haven’t received. I tried to reach you out but you never responded,, this is so annoying. I even went a mile and uninstalled your app due to your opaqueness just like the cherera team.
bring features in speed dial options and tab options and bring more options like Samsung internet browser beta. Youtube videos are comming portrait if i do landscape videos it is not comming landscape videos help

Good app and very effective, I would have rate 5star but since last update I have been having an issues with my download anytime am downloading and my data finished and I try buying another data to continue the download it won’t go I have to download the files again
It’s a good little browser, and it does the job. Love the data saver feature. A bit unstable and crashes sometimes. Webpages sometimes don’t load but that’s to be expected for a beta browser. 4/5 would recommend
Really? When i finish for downloading, i clear the download history and “BAM!!! ALL YOUR DOWNLOADED FILE IS GONE” even i move them at the difference folder. Why u do that such a thing?

Instead of using in-app file browser allow to use the phone gallery app? Its so hard to browse for the file to be uploaded!

This app deserves more than five star, cos download is really fast, it blocks ads, and it saves my data for me.

Inbuilt video player lacks change screen size feature. AND THERE IS A BUG WHICH CAUSES FILES TO GET MISSING FROM THE APP DOWNLOADS SECTION.
Well am enjoying this browser anything that I want to download it download for me and is also faster then any other browser so I hope this will continue to update 😍
Well, the new dark mode is very nice. The app seems more stable and somewhat faster too. More search engine options would be nice. Some oddities in the app though; file sharing & search options at both the top & bottom of the start page (why not an option to move them from top to bottom instead?), personalisation settings VERY separate from the main settings menu (why?), and 6 colour options for section headers & the data savings indicator (really?). Overall though, not bad.
