A new kind of Mario game that you can play with one hand.

You control Mario by tapping as he constantly runs forward. You time your taps to pull off stylish jumps, midair spins, and wall jumps to gather coins and reach the goal!

Super Mario Run can be downloaded for free and after you purchase the game, you will be able to play all the modes with no additional payment required. You can try out all four modes before purchase: World Tour, Toad Rally, Remix 10, and Kingdom Builder.

■World Tour
Run and jump with style to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser’s clutches!
Travel through plains, caverns, ghost houses, airships, castles, and more.

Clear the 24 exciting courses to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser, waiting in his castle at the end. There are many ways to enjoy the courses, such as collecting the 3 different types of colored coins or by competing for the highest score against your friends. You can try courses 1-1 to 1-4 for free.

After rescuing Princess Peach, a nine-course special world, World Star, will appear.

■Remix 10
Some of the shortest Super Mario Run courses you’ll ever play!
This mode is Super Mario Run in bite-sized bursts! You’ll play through 10 short courses one after the other, with the courses changing each time you play. Daisy is lost somewhere in Remix 10, so try to clear as many courses as you can to find her!

■Toad Rally
Show off Mario’s stylish moves, compete against your friends, and challenge people from all over the world.

In this challenge mode, the competition differs each time you play.
Compete against the stylish moves of other players for the highest score as you gather coins and get cheered on by a crowd of Toads. Fill the gauge with stylish moves to enter Coin Rush Mode to get more coins. If you win the rally, the cheering Toads will come live in your kingdom, and your kingdom will grow.

■Kingdom Builder
Gather coins and Toads to build your very own kingdom.

Combine different buildings and decorations to create your own unique kingdom. There are over 100 kinds of items in Kingdom Builder mode. If you get more Toads in Toad Rally, the number of buildings and decorations available will increase. With the help of the friendly Toads you can gradually build up your kingdom.

■What You Can Do After Purchasing All Worlds

・ All courses in World Tour are playable
Why not try out the bigger challenges and thrills available in all courses?

・ Easier to get Rally Tickets
It’s easier to get Rally Tickets that are needed to play Remix 10 and Toad Rally. You can collect them in Kingdom Builder through Bonus Game Houses and ? Blocks, by collecting colored coins in World Tour, and more.

・ More playable characters
If you rescue Princess Peach by completing course 6-4 and build homes for Luigi, Yoshi, and Toadette in Kingdom Builder mode, you can get them to join your adventures as playable characters. They play differently than Mario, so why not put their special characteristics to good use in World Tour and Toad Rally?

・ More courses in Toad Rally
The types of courses available in Toad Rally will increase to seven different types of courses, expanding the fun! Along with the new additions, Purple and Yellow Toads may also come to cheer for you.

・ More buildings and decorations in Kingdom Builder
The types of buildings available will increase, so you’ll be able to make your kingdom even more lively. You can also place Rainbow Bridges to expand your kingdom.

・ Play Remix 10 without having to wait
You can play Remix 10 continuously, without having to wait between each game.

  1. Now, while I love the Mario Series, I will say that I am not the biggest fan of this game. When playing Remix 10, I found that the screen lagged for seemingly no reason, which threw me off plenty of times. The level design also seems pretty bland and just the same old settings you see over and over again. Overall I feel like this was just another cash grab from Nintendo, not to mention you actually need to PAY to unlock the rest of the game. But other than that, it looks decent graphic-wise.

  2. Fun game. It’s short if you don’t try and get all the special coins and what not, but that’s true of most Mario games. One handed controls and short levels make for a perfect mobile game. My biggest gripe right now is it will hang forever when it needs to load about 5% of the time on my pixel 3. Not sure if it’s a phone or wifi problem, but it’s irksome. Most of the time I don’t lose any progress, just have to restart the game, but it happens way too often.

  3. Great game so far. From what I see, there aren’t micro transactions that slow down your progress. You can buy extra buildings for your mini kingdom with coins you collect during while playing, just like in regular Mario. It’s a bit of a new style to adapt to – Mario already running fast and all you can do it jump and try to time it well, but it’s very fun and interesting!

  4. A very fun and solid game with a good amount of content, but the fact that it requires you to have an internet connection kinda sucks. The game is a bit overpriced and the campaign, World Tour, is extremely short, but the other modes are pretty fun. The Kingdom Builder is a cool idea, but not exactly implemented in the best way. Other than that, this game is great! Fun levels, great graphics, nice soundtrack, unique modes, and multiple playable characters, each with their own unique attributes!

  5. I really enjoyed this game, but after the last update, the game became unplayable. It can’t get past the Nintendo logo–either it will crash or just get stuck on that screen. I really hope this gets fixed eventually, as I paid for the full game! i have a Pixel 3, if that makes any sort of difference. I’ve seen reports of the same issue on multiple phones now.

  6. Big fan of this game, haven’t really stopped playing it ever since I bought it which I think was over a year ago. Remix 10 just goes on forever, it’s a great time killer and new every time. I know some people don’t like that it costs money, but it’s totally worth it to just play it endlessly without any ads. It was broken for a while when I got the S10+, but after a month or two they finally fixed their game and the crashes stopped, so I’m back to playing it constantly. Pick it up!

  7. The game itself is very fun, I like the controls, feel and overall experience. However, the content available for free is more of a demo rather than an actual game, which feels like false advertising, as the game is listed as a F2P. I mean, you only have access to like 10% of the game without paying – it’s a bit VERY disappointing. It’s a one time payment though, so it gets a point there…

  8. I played this game on my Note 5, but recently got an S10 plus. I started to have the freezing issue, so I emailed Mario run support. They told me to do all of the things I have done already… restart, etc. They also said to open the app “Tap ‘Having Trouble?’ and ‘Re-download data’ on the start screen”. This fixed the problem. I have played through all coins on 3 levels, no freezing And then… nope, freezing again and the fix did not work a 2nd time.

  9. For 9.99 you basically get a full fledged Mario game, without any other in app purchases. It’s ok, beat all worlds except star, but got pretty bored after all of that. Remix 10 is what kept me there for a while. The star world is ok, but not that good, and unlocking some of the levels is very difficult, and would suck for newcomers playing this as their first Mario game. Overall, it’s a decent Mario game, and if you want to kill some time it’s worth picking up.

  10. Refinnej dice:

This game is cute but just okay. Just a typical run game with touring world, playing against other players, and a 10 short level remix game. It can be difficult as you progress. It is also repetitious on the VS. and remix games. My biggest complaint is that you only get 1 world and to advance, you need to pay $10. It is definitely not worth $10, especially when there are run games that are free and the run games are pretty old.

  11. I love Mario, and this game is pretty fun! Not a TON of levels, but each level has 3 different “difficulties”- 3 different coin sets to collect, each one that are more difficult to collect. And challenges, like “don’t collect more than 5 gold coins,” etc. And there’s additional extra mini levels that are cute, though not as fleshed out as the regular levels. I would say it’s worth the purchase.

  12. This game is incredible. I’m a super super mario fan and having this app really makes me happy. The graphics on this game are just on point. This is a perfect game to play for when you are in desperate need of mario when you’re away from home! Though, sometimes when I’m playing a section of the game like the Rally or Remix 10, the game glitches and takes me out. Imagine winning on a level you’ve never won before, and the game takes you out! Its aggravating, but rarely happens. Live the game!

  13. initially playing the game remind me of “Mario Run”, but soon became its own thing. I am a BIG fan of the mario kart series and I like seeing this as a mobile game. hopefully, the final version will let you connect with friend and maybe even have a full landscape mode. but, for what it is, as always. nintendo’s great work. as it stands the game is great and hopefully, will not just circulate the same maps , but add more from previous games.

  14. Overall it’s ok. Level design is nice except for the ghost house because of the inability to move backwards. I paid for all the levels and it’s fun yet still challenging. However, toad rally completely sucks really bad. If you want to level up your castle you’re forced to play toad rally which I hate. Makes this game not too kid friendly which I assume all Mario games are supposed to be.

  15. Good substitute for a traditional Mario game for times when you don’t have a Switch or 3DS with you. There number of levels is not that great, but the levels have different coin layouts and there are different modes which makes them very replayable. I am most appreciative of the fact that this game does not follow the free-to-play Skinner-box cash-grab model that most mobile games follow. It just costs a little bit up front, and you have the game. It’s worth it I think.

  16. Don’t like the fact that remix levels can’t be replayed. I became frustrated by the fact that this game/interface is not responsive enough given the timing required to get coins, kill bad guys, etc. I also am frustrated by the fact that the game always runs forward and often forces the player to randomly choose to go high or low with too little information regarding the consequence of that decision. For many levels, this makes it almost impossible to achieve get all of the high point coins.

  17. Classic Mario experience on your phone. Definitely worth the $10… Or play for free the 1st 4 levels. For less than the cost of a movie ticket you get 33 levels (if you unlock them all) and hours of replay value. Who knew jumping could be so much fun and challenging. ZERO ads and no in game purchases to make if you buy the full game for $10. Did notice that some Really levels disappeared after purchasing :(. Would really like a sequel. Mobile Mario Run Level Creator would be amazing.

  18. At first glance this may seem like a disappointment to some, not being a fully controllable Mario game on phones. However after spending some time with it, the one handed aspect and being a running genre/platformer hybrid works quite well. Very easy to pick up and play, and has plenty of aesthetics of a full Mario game. While the 10 dollar full game price may seem like a lot, it opens up a ton of content that makes it worth it. To me it’s a solid amount of Mario for a phone.

  19. Big Jim dice:

Overall I’ve really enjoyed my time with the game. It’s a fun time waster and has the typical Nintendo polish and charm that you would expect from one of their console titles. I do think the entry point of $10 is a tad steep for a mobile game, and without purchasing the game you’re rather limited to what you can do. However, if you can get past that intial cost there’s a lot of content to dig into including a story mode, battle mode, and a coin collecting mode.

  20. It’s very simple but fulfills a major dream of Mario’s creator: it’s a gane with one button. Sorta. I love that Mario Run let’s you try it out for free and then has a one time cost to unlock the full game. No nickel and diming! I don’t play often but I have fun when I do. It’s an easy game to pick up when I’m bored and it’s easy to out down wheb reality calls. I wish more games followed this formula. Mario got my money one time. Most freemium games never get a cent from me!

  21. I absolutely adored this game. bought the full version, was just about 15 short of collecting every item, have all of the story mode done and most of the coins. now all the sudden I try to open it and it crashes on the menu screen. everytime. All the time and the cash I put in for nothing. I cant even play anymore. I’m so bummed. would have given 5 stars.

  22. Only giving this 3 stars because it’s a bit of a marketing scheme. It allows you to download for free but once you play a few levels, it forces you to pay to continue. They could make alot of money by only doing in app optional purchases like most games but no, this game cost 10 dollars. Disappointed. As far as gameplay and graphics go, it’s great. So if you can spare the 10 dollars, go for it. Just know that going into it.

  23. Very fun game, however there are many bugs in this game even after 2 years of being released. The game crashes randomly, gets stuck on transition screens randomly, certain sound effects don’t play sometimes, and there is a lot of audio distortion when I am playing the game through headphones even at low volumes.

  24. Wheatley dice:

A nice time waster. You don’t need to pay, there are plenty of ways to earn rally tickets, especially with the kingdom building. Tour it also great, so is Toad Rally, but I play remix mostly. The music is too much to blast out in public or with anyone around but it can be turned off so I can’t complain. The controls fall a bit short with some levels but it’s fine.

  25. ever since it forced me to download the new update (it wouldn’t let me play the game at all until I did so), the game has not been running properly. It takes forever just to get to the start screen, and same goes for when I choose something in game (rally, etc). Not to forget to mention, in the midst of playing remix 10, the game starts lagging for no reason, affecting gameplay and causing me to shut the entire app off. this needs fixed pronto.

  26. I doubted that this game would be interesting and even fun initially, but it is quite enjoyable. It’s pseudo-free-to-play with the Remix 10 courses, but the real meat and potatoes is without a doubt the 6 world’s that cost $10.00 USD. I haven’t bought the other 5 worlds that you can buy yet, but it seems worth it. It’s less about the platforming and more-so about perfecting speed runs, and the levels are reasonably long. If you just want to play it without paying, go ahead and stick with the Remix 10 Campaign. But, I recommend delving into the $10.00USD Main Campaign if Remix 10’s your jam.

  27. Super Mario Run is not the best mobile app out there, but if you ignore the high asking price and required connection, this game can actually be really enjoyable. All of the modes are pretty good, but Remix 10 is the best way to play. It’s randomly generated every time, adding a lot more replayability to the game. The other playable characters are nice too, because these characters are never playable in the mainline games. Overall, this app is pretty fun if you enjoy Mario as much as I do.

  28. This game is very bad. It says it’s for free but when you play it, it only allows you to play four short levels. Only four I’m serious, there are lot’s of other levels but, you have to pay an additional extra $ 9.99. And there are other ways to unlock them, but you have to do all these different crazy types of rally, races, that don’t even nessecary unlock them. And after that they ask for an update, that takes up a lot of storage.

  29. Super Mario Run is easy, quick controls and addictive! It’s fun and I enjoyed playing it the few times I did. Until it started kicking me off the game. I’d click it, it would come up with the logo, then close. I tried reinstalling and it didnt help. Too bad, was fun while it lasted. I was going to purchase the full game tonight, Glad I didnt pay for it.

  30. John Askew dice:

This is a really well made game and provides plenty of entertainment. The only issue I have with it is in the Remix 10 levels. A star is supposed to provide an advantage – collecting 100 coins while already large rewards an invincibility star. However, this often makes it impossible to collect the 3 rainbow coins for that level because you need to bounce off enemies to reach specific platforms etc. As a result, if you want to get perfect bonuses you have to avoid the bonus.

  31. I loved the game. It was fun and challenging to play however, once you finish playing eoyrld one you have to pay ten dollars to get the last worlds. It’s a total waste of time trying to beat world one since you have to pay to keep playing. I tought that world two would be unlocked once I finished world one but I was wrong. I can see why it only has 3 stars

  32. I LOVE this game. It’s by far my favorite mobile game I’ve ever played. i don’t care how much it is. It’s a Mario game what’s not to love? But ever since the new update, the game has been crashing almost every time I play Remix 10. PLEASE Nintendo fix it. This is a very frustrating and inconvient issue that shouldn’t be present after paying $10. Once it’s fixed I’ll give this game as many stars as possible.

  33. I’m very unhappy. I had to uninstall and reinstall.. In doing so, all of my save data was lost. I wasn’t aware that my progress was saved locally. Had I known that my progress was Not saved on the server, I would have linked my Nintendo account. I spent a great deal of time and even purchased the game outright. I support Nintendo fully and Love Mario. Huge fan! … And I would rate 5 stars, but it should be clear that progress is saved locally. You mean to tell me that I have to start all over??

  34. $10 game It’s free to download, yes… but don’t get that mistaken with, “free to play.” There is no grinding system. No way to unlock the other worlds. It’s just a demo to the full game. For $10, it’s not BAD but I think you’re better off buying two or three different Mario games from the Nintendo eShop on 3DS, Wii U, or Switch. The game is actually really fun. Though, for me personally I’d value it at maybe $2-$3 not $10. Not nearly enough content!

  35. fun but very limited. I dont like that I can only do 3 of the main lvls and then the boss but can’t go on until I purchase the game. there is still the mini games but when your chances of getting the 3 tickets is slim to none you can’t really play those either. I also dont like that you can never go backwards unless you bounce off something but it’s only for a split second. I’m sure that’s the challenge of the game but it’s frustrating and the game should be fun.

  36. This is a great Mario game! Some people complain that you have to purchase the rest of the game. But you still get 4 whole levels for free. It’s really just like a demo, and the price is cheaper than other Mario games with a price of 10$. The controls are simple but fun. And with other game modes to try, you’ll have loads of fun. Just because you can’t go backwards doesn’t mean it’s bad. In the first original Mario Bros. game you couldn’t go backwards either.

  37. It’s a fun and interesting twist to Mario. I enjoy playing it immensely, but there’s a few things I dislike. The “world building” part of setting up your personal kingdom is weird and out of place. The paywall to unlock the single player worlds is a huge turn off, too. There’s a lot of good, though. Remix 10 is awesome and addictive as hell! The coins are challenging without being impossible and the pvp element is well made. 99 rally ticket cap makes the looting unimportant, too, after a while.

  38. Wastry dice:

Overall a fun game. I particularly admire Nintendo’s one-handed gameplay approach for the application, which is a new phenomenon for me in the gaming world. One feature I would ask for is the ability to send away toads. The reason is simply because I have OCD, and prefer to have “clean” Toad ratios, instead of an immense amount of reds, for example.

  39. Too many tutorials that dont even let you play until 5 minutes of tapping the screen. Then after only a few levels you have to pay for the rest of them. Nintendo makes so much money you’d think they could make a game that allowed you to pay to remove ads, not pay to play the game you installed in the first place. But when you aren’t being forcefed tutorials for a game you won’t play that long anyway, the gameplay is actually pretty fun and challenging. Those are the only pros.

  40. you know what? the app is good. for what it is, the app is good. it is designed for more casual/new players, so you old schoolers will need to have an open mind when it comes to gameplay. the auto-run and tap jump work well for mobile. the challenges are pretty well balanced. I would like more levels. maybe some old school levels adapted for this? I’d like to see a better use for tickets. maybe they could have tickets be an in-app purchase and used for development? level creation would be beast
