OK sssooo the app does NOT explain how it works, and the price for me when I tried it? 72.50. First thing, the app requires you to select extras, and then add it to the total… pppsstttt, for $72.50 I can rent a zipcar for a whole day with less hassle… I’m still not understanding what’s different with Carla vs other car searching rental apps…. oh, and I didn’t see a “pay later” option, just wanted my credit card info to pay for the full price for 1 day. I am 100% sure I’m Uninstalling.
I like the location search tool. I would need something fairly close to my parents house. The virtual map is helpful. I don’t like how the current car disappears completely when it’s selected and only is shown again at the end. I clicked the checkmark, got no confirmation, only a registration form. It would be more helpful to have the iimage (even if it’s small) of the car and/or title of the car to not confuse the renter. That’s the only negative. It’s a good app, 4 out of 5 stars.
Awful experience! I SPECIFICALLY entered a search for rentals with a debit card. 3 different cars with 2 different companies and none would rent with a debit card. Then they refunded in app credit. No sorry I cannot use your app because it now only let’s me choose that location and I was told no company will rent at that location without a credit card.
The app seemingly convenient and makes it easy to book a rental, but after being charged for a 3-day rental and receiving confirmation I am told I do not qualify for the rental at the Dollar Car Rental. There is no customer support to call and the app will not even let me send a message for assistance. I can only complain here through playstore now! Do not use this app if you do not have a credit card! Use TURO instead and save yourself the hassle
