Can’t play the game. It keeps telling me I’m not matching with the rhythm and gives me bads, but I play two other rhythm games and don’t have this problem. And they have changed the way notes appear on the screen. Disappointing to uninstall but what’s the point of having it if I can’t even clear a live show without getting kicked out for no reason?

To start off: I’m not a fan of idol shows and dating sims. Oh lord, so cheesy. I came for a rhythm game. The voice actors are all incredibly talented – the majority are well-known, can you recognize them all? – and there’s a good variety of genres. The hold notes freak out sometimes, and there’s a notable problem when the notes lag and the game tries to fix it by jumping them forward. The art is usually pretty good, and they’re pretty generous with prisms. Overall, a solid side game.

honestly, i really like this game, especially the rhythm game aspect. it’s practically love live, just with less circles and more men (they’re made by the same company, anyway.) it could be just my phone, but the main reason i wouldn’t play this again is the storage requirement to download the entire thing. it took about 4gb of storage. also, though not as significant, the loading screens can get kind of long which is annoying. overall, if you have the storage, it’s a good game. 3 stars for me.

  4. After dropping this game for a while due to technical issues, coming back has been fun but the occasional glitch never ceases to ruin a good time. It still the same “pay-to-win or play for abnormal amounts of time til you have a strong team” game I remember, but the rhythm game has made it a habit to drop the same note every time and it’s annoying when it’s the only one missed out of the whole song and eats a perfect combo. The characters are charming though, and you will want more.

  5. I keep deleting and redownloading this game!!!! That sounds bad, but it’s a testimony to just how good the game is. No matter what else I play I keep coming back because the gameplay is just THAT GOOD. Ignoring all the additional parts, the way that the buttons feel, the sounds, the beat maps, all of it makes for the most exciting and engaging gameplay that I’ve had the pleasure of playing. If only it didn’t take up so much space! 😭 Petition for a smaller spin off game with just the rhythm pls.

  6. It’s a really fun game, it’s been having a hard time NOT lagging in the middle of a song. I can no longer get full combos because I don’t know when to tap as it jumps forward and stops at random. I’ve done everything I can think of to try to fix it but nothing is working. I’m disappointed because I can do the pro and master but now it’s near impossible with the lag.

  7. recent fan of the series, coming into Shining Live after having played the visual novel. it’s really fun to watch the characters interact and i love the outfits and card art! the rhythm aspect, however, leaves alot to be desired. i’m a long time mobile rhythm game player – i’m not like a pro but i’m pretty good. i am really, really struggling to full combo mid-tier difficulty songs simply because my touches aren’t being registered correct. especially on long-hold notes. i’m close to deleting

  8. Love that it’s the original voice cast. Like that I can do every song on easy and it doesn’t inhibit my progress, but I always have the option of bumping up the difficulty. Best of all are the songs and getting to “perform” them with the simple to understand rhythm mechanics.

  9. Friend of mine showed me the game 2 years ago and have been playing it ever since. There’s something about clearing a song in the hardest dificulty that is just so satysfying. The game updates content very frequently, making you come back for more. A must have game for anyone who loves anime intro like music and a more than entertaining gameplay experience.

  10. I have been a lover of Uta Pri for several years now and have played this game for at least a couple of them. The events can be repetitive but with a rhythm game I assume you can only do so much. The art is always fantastic and the team is pretty knowing of their audience! The pulls do tend to draw more towards characters you have high bonds with which is great for getting more stuff for your favourite boy~☆ Great gameplay and gorgeous art~♡

  11. They’re all best boys. Gameplay is addictive and welcoming for any skill level wishing to enjoy some fun music. The interactions are cute and I like that the photo side stories are fully voiced. Constantly have new events every week (hence the updates). It takes a lot of storage, but downloading in full instead of parts cuts out a lot of load time. Can only hope for more Utapri content to come overseas.

  12. Sen dice:

I think this is a really good game! I love playing it! It balances challenging and grinding since the more you grind, the better photos tou can get to support you in Lives! The songs accompanied with the lives are also really nice to listen to! The story and voice acting are also great and funny at times! The art in all the scenes, background, and story is also high quality! Along with the animated models used for most story scenes.

  13. I’m addicted to these idols. Good bois. Perfect, wish the prisms and stuff were a little less expensive;; or at least more their value (in my opinion) but whatever. I really enjoy the organization of the menus and not just the gameplay. Noice job. The other ranked events are a little much for me, good point building system but the standards for the UR character is just too high for me;; I do play everyday and for hours but I just don’t seem to be getting any closer to it. That’s pretty much it from me :> EDIT: Just realized the boost x3 works for event points…..sorry;; so scratch that everything noice.

  14. It’s a very fun game if you’ve seen the show. Other than that it’s a standard anime rhythm game. The app is MASSIVE which can be a problem for some people, and to make the game playable you need to mess around in the settings and fine tune the timing and note speed. I tried playing without ever seeing the show, I was lost and didn’t like the game. I then watched the first season of the show and was hooked on the game after knowing the characters a bit better. Syo and Natsuki are both best guy

  15. I’m a little lost on gameplay (it is only Day 1 for me) but it seems fun and there isn’t really a “life” system that you can run out of. You can kill a lot of time on this game. My only issue is that when you get a notification on Messenger, it disrupts gameplay and makes it a little buggy. I suggest disabling notifications while playing the game. Edit at 1.5 years: I’m still enjoying it. Gacha rates are… *interesting* but the rest is still fun.

  16. I really love this game! It’s so much fun to play but sometimes the game lags and I miss some of the notes. It’s gets annoying but I can over look the lagging. But recently the app won’t open at all. Everytime I tap on the app it tells me that “Utapri keeps stopping” and I can’t even get into the app at all. I’m not sure what to do but I hope that I can start playing to game again soon because I really love this game and I’d hate to have to uninstall it.

  17. For a card based gacha system, this game is amazingly forgiving. Achieving S ranks for a song with one or two SRs leveled halfway up makes it pretty easy to consistently get the drop. For a rhythm game, the songs are ok and the mechanics are exactly what you expect. Story wise, it’s a really nice glimpse into an otome game world that people outside japan might never get to experience in it’s full form, so it’s really nice to be able to bond with the guys.

  18. I cannot understand why. I was playing the game fine when it suddenly claomed that there was a network error. Then after i restarted the game, I just keeps getting stuck at the main page saying that I’ve a network error again. But I’ve checked multiple times even with other games and my network is fine and working very well in fact. I’ve re-installed the app, restarted my phone and none of these is working. Omg. Please fix this soon!!!!

  19. Thought I’d come back to check the 5th year anniversary content after a year, but again the note timing is still terrible. I don’t understand why the timing had to be changed because that only made a lot of players leave. And how come the notes don’t go down a constant speed like they used to? They fly down fast, but then decelerate… Why? That just really messes people up. Can you make it an optional setting? But then again, I won’t be playing anyways because of the timing.

  20. I’ve been a huge fan of Uta no prince sama for a long time and I am truly enjoying this game and just simply poking Ai-chan in the face. The favorite idol (Ai Mikaze) on the main screen Is just fun to interact with and the photoshoots are great as well and I love how you can dress up the idols once you get their clothes from the photos in moments. The stories are great too but my problem with the game is the rhythm part cause it lags and it makes me miss a ton of notes when playing a song 🙁

  21. Dumb Solar dice:

I just started playing the game and it’s really good, the voice actors are amazing and the stories are really interesting.

  22. I’ve been playing this game since its 1st anniversary and it’s still one of my favourite rhythm game. After playing the game back since I’ve stopped for 1 year, I’ve found out that the timing to the notes are not as accurate as it was. One of the biggest issue I’ve run into is that my game lags and freezes whenever the notes come out. I’ve reinstalled the game for several times, but it still has the same issue. I really hope this lag is fixed and that I can play it again soon.

  23. MinPDnim dice:

Been playing since the global version was released and I really love it. I loved the games, and the anime and being able to play this on my phone is really great. The only problem is that with the new update, during live shows there’ll be times where the game lags a bit and the notes would stutter in between. I guess it’s not optimized for my phone model, but it was only in the last few updates where I experienced this.

  24. This is really fun for a rhythm game, but not a lot of story or character interaction. I would love it if the otome games it was based on to be available on either mobile or PC. I would spend hours on those

  25. Lisaa-san dice:

Well, been a fan since the anime came out! But you know, I’m broke so I won’t be playing the visual novel any time soon, however I would love too! I love the voice actors and everyone on the production team does a great job at developing this whole game! I’m really greatful to be playing this game on mobile as I played it ever since it came out! Starish will sure be my BTS forever, so it will be great years to come on this lovable jouney with the boys!

  26. Ever since the last update, I have been unable to watch the daily commercials for the LP and prisms. Anyone else having that issue???

  27. O K dice:

I love the songs of the game But the story is boring I didn’t fall in love with the characters. Because of the story

  28. Giu Camp dice:

I’ve always been a fan of Uta no prince sama but I’d have never imagined that I could have been able to play the game! ❤️At first I was a little dubious about downloading the game because I thought that there was just the japanese version but I was so happy to see it in english😄Thank you for making this game💕

  29. Ai dice:

Its very nice. The gacha system is also nice. And I really like the rotation of the events. Since after an event ends, another will start. Due to this, the game won’t be boring. But im having problems regarding bugs and glitches, especially for tracks with many notes. The glitches would either be late or advanced than the song itself. I tried adjusting the timing, but it really is a glitch problem. Other than that, the game is nice.

  30. Elizabeth dice:

This game is incredible in terms of look and sound and is very generous compared to many others like this one. But since August 2019 it stopped perform well for me. Taps don’t register, transitions between menus are slow. Eventually, the game took so many space that I had to delete it. But I still like it very much, the amount work put in this game is huge and I hope someday the issues will be fixed

  31. I’ve only played this game for a short while but I really really like it! The gameplay is easy to pick up, the songs are great and all the characters are so unique and lovable! Edit2: Lowering the rating once again as even after repeatedly clearing my phone storage and memory (using both in-built and external app cleaners) the game still doesn’t register my taps on certain songs at certain instances. I’ve also tried everything from disabling the live show effects to adjusting tap timing but it still doesn’t work/gets worse. I love this game a lot but it’s really annoying to play songs and get a Miss on a note that you know you hit. Might even consider deleting it to see if it’s the cause of my other rhythm games getting Misses too

  32. Lei- cchi dice:

Its a good rhythmic game where you can get far with your skills and a good internet connection. The rewards system is satisfying, you can always get something out of a live show as long as you finish the songs. The events and missions are doable since there are different modes of difficulty. You don’t have to buy anything to enjoy the game. If you are fond of singing bishies + rhytmic games, then this game is for you. You will have to spare a large amount of memory space for the game though.

  33. It’s a great game, with a lot of good songs constantly being added so you will never get bored just listening to specific set of songs. Some live song shows have videos to them as well and the pictures are really high quality. Events are a constant as well, so I don’t think there’s a chance to grow bored with the game. Overall, I really like it ^.^

  34. Hi I’ve been playing utano princesama: shining live. I would just like to report that every time i’m doing live shows the keys gets on saying ‘miss’ even when i tap it. Especially it keeps on saying ‘miss’ on a long tap keys. And i couldnt get an either full combo or ultimate combo. I would like you to fix it. Other than that and as an Overall its a great app. Thanks!

  35. I’ve had this game for a year now and definitely recommend it if you like these sort of games. It’s real fun and it’s fun to collect the different pictures and leveling them up. Not only is it a beat/tap game it’s also a collecting game. The photos are gorgeous and it’s nice to see your collection grow over time. The wallpaper is also quite gorgeous! The songs are fun to play. I havent had any issues or bugs with the app and it’s a pretty seamless gameplay. The new events is also a really good way to spruce things up. The stories and artwork is definitely a plus as well. Overall I’m really enjoying this game 🙂 Though, it can be addictive and you will find yourself spending hours on it.

  36. Now have plenty of storage so can play fully. Songs are great. Such harmony amazing vocals. Shame there’s no way to listen to them without playing a concert (a in game radio for cleared songs?). It can get a bit monotonous playing the same songs over and over for a event. And takes a lot of hard work to complete them most events I never finish. You need good focus and reflexes for the concerts, not a good idea to play if your not feeling well.

  37. Amazing game! I’ve fallen in love with the characters and all the songs. Getting prisms is quite hard, but that makes earning UR’s much more satisfying! But the app is,, so big. I wish there was a way you could make it smaller, so that’s my only down point. Especially since its now taking up to 3gb in my storage,, yikes. However! I’m obsessed and everything is amazing.

  38. I lived my high school years fangirling over the anime and this game just brought back lots of memories! I’m very impressed with the graphics in this game. Gosh. The illustrations are stunning! There were times though, during gameplay that the song lags or glitches for a second and the beat jumps so sometimes i lose my combo because of that. But LOL I have nothing to complain really. I just love this game! It’s amazing

  39. I love this game so much. The musics, the illustrations, and even the quick responses from the admin team are satisfying. I really recommend this game for those who loves rhythm games, especially girls since there are many handsome 2D men here.

  40. Sometimes very laggy, the tambourine sounds when doing a swipe with the screen sounds very odd, sometimes the tambourine sounds distorted kind of? like it goes from low to high, also overall the gameplay while doing a live show isn’t very smooth unlike my experience with my old iPhone. Please take my review to consideration and try to match with the sounds and smoothness of the iPhone? thank you. I love this game so much but the gameplay with my new Android is a little off.
