If you’re ready to build your credit, Kikoff is the fastest, smartest, and easiest way to do it.
Kikoff customers who make on-time payments see improvements of their credit score by 58 points, on average.*
Sign up for Kikoff Basic plan for just $5/month or Premium plan for $20/month. You’ll get a credit line reported to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion** every month. Each on-time payment builds payment history, which helps your credit! Whether you have a low credit or no credit, we make it easy and worry-free – no credit check required and it only takes a few minutes to apply.
How it works:
1. We lower your credit utilization with a $750 or a $2,500 tradeline.
2. You make a purchase with that tradeline (limited to Kikoff), and you just pay back what you spend (our lowest + most popular payment amount is $5/month). We report those payments to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion every month while your utilization rate stays low.
3. You have the option to put your credit building on autopilot by turning on AutoPay – that’s right, no heavy lifting required from you after account setup.
4. We flag errors on your report. Also, users with Premium Credit Service account can sign up to Rent Reporting to have their rent payments reported.
Kikoff helps you build credit by establishing a payment history and maintaining a low utilization rate, all with no unexpected fees or interest.
*Credit Score Increase: Based on Kikoff customers who start with 600 or below credit. Payment behavior can have an impact on your credit score, and individual results may vary. Data current as of March 2022.
**Which bureaus are reported to depends upon which Kikoff products you have. Kikoff Credit Account and Secured Credit Card reports to Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.
Just donaloaded this app as a new user. When I entered my address info, a window popped up saying ” something went wrong, please check your internet connection”. I know it’s not my internet issue, it’s working. So I enter different address, I noticed system wont regonize new york state address, out of state address works fine. please fix this issue.
Just cancelled. This app basically charges you for a credit line you can’t use, outside of buying their “financial services”. I’d rather take the hit from cancelling, then use the savings to put toward bills. I can raise my own credit score through good habits and good advice from financial professionals. Any reduction of my credit score from dropping them is a loss I’ll chalk up to ignorance, and I’ll make it up by paying down my debt.
I just finished the year’s terms on both a credit building loan and with the credit account. When I opened the accounts my credit score went up 4 points. When they reported a monthly payment, my score went up a point (both accounts combined) but *only* when they reported. Which they fail to do each month. All together they only reported 7 times out of the 12 months. I actually had to dispute to get them to report the final payment. None of it was worth the time and service fees.
You pay for a line of credit that you can’t use for anything. It says you are to use the line of credit on their products only but when I clicked on the store it just offered me more monthly “plans”, no actual products. Very confusing and misleading. I was hoping this line of credit could be used to help me & my family. It’s just blindly giving your money to a company in hopes they increase your credit score.
THE WORST DECISION YOU CAN MAKE. I created an account with Kickoff. After several months of mayking payments, I saw no increase in my credit. If anything, my score went down several points because they reported an open line of credit to the credit bureau. After 4 months I attempted to close this account and they never closed it and continued to charge me, then reported me to the credit bureau once I deactivated my account for non payment. I DO NOT RECOMENT THEIR SERVICE.
This thing is a total joke. I was sick for 2 months. I haven’t been laid on any payments and four and a half years on eight trade lines. A car payment anything 100% perfect payment history. I was sick. Couldn’t make payments on anything for 2 months. I was getting overdraft fees from the stupid kickoff and I couldn’t cancel it. It’ll hit my credit even harder. I finally did. Now it’s showing them 90 days past due. 668score to 480 to 530 lost 30 pts because kickoff !!!! H8u
Bait you in by saying they give you a line of credit for 750.00. It’s a lie. They report that debt to the credit bureau, but you can’t use it for what you need, except for dribs and drabs through the app. Not only that, but if you close the account, it takes 5 to 7 days to get the money back. They take it instantly, but refuse to return it instantly
At first I was very happy w/this app, my credit was steadily going up as I was saving a little money. I cancelled the acct that doesn’t save your money bc there’s nothing tangible in their store to buy i was just giving them money & my credit dropped 10 pts. then when my loan’ was all paid I saw no way to just roll it over, so I cashed it out which dropped my score 27 pts due to a ‘closed account’ even though it was paid in full. This was a disappointment since I ended up back where I started😭
It was cool at first. Then they turned into a snakey joke. If you upgrade to the $20 a month deal they have. They pretty much just rip you off and give you a credit you can’t access or get your money back. And it just links it to an online store full of junk no one wants. If you cancel any credit you built gets taken back and they sink your score back to what it was before you started. I feel scammed, ripped off, and extremely unhappy with this company
Did not increase my score at all (760+), used for over a year and then was tired of paying 5$ a month for no reward. I payed my balance and closed my account. Of course, the next month my score dropped 22 points. With the +/- of 2 points a month it will take me a year or more to recover my score. Also, this company does not make it easy to view their store or update the products. I would not trust them to report the right payment history or their security.
The ad for this app is very Deceiving. It says you sign up and you right away get $750 and all you have to do is pay the loan off at $5 a month, but that is not how it works once you read into it a the fine print. I guess that is why there is fine print. Because ads (companies) can can say whatever they want to draw you in,does not mean that the ad (aka company) is saying anything true about the product or service they are offering.
Downloaded, started process, wouldn’t let me get past the debit card info because I couldn’t see what was needed after my CVV. Looked at the reviews and seems there are a lot of issues one being: you are just paying for a credit score and don’t get anything to show for it (don’t bother if you’re looking for money) but if you are looking for a credit boost it’s good…. until you don’t want to do it anymore.
Try REAL Credit apps that work Great. Like CURRENT. Worst app ever made for credit!! Not a bank.. they take your money.. don’t give it back to you.. and help your credit slightly. They also have another program where you pay for a certain amount of time and you get that money back…. Try CURRENT, it’s an online bank, that has a debit and credit card. But the credit card is just a debit card. So every time you spend it boosts your credit!
Wanted to try it out but couldn’t get past setting up my information. Unfreezed my TransUnion credit score so many times and also spoke with customer service about the issue I was having. Customer services was no help. All they did was rest everything on there end and told me to try again. Tried again I don’t know how many times and still having the same issue. Kepted trying to get it to work and eventually gave up and uninstalled the app. Not even going to bother with it. Was a waste of time.
Nice concept, until I had to cancel my bank card due to fraud. Could not update anything or open any tabs on the app or the website. Could not contact them forever because of that. Now that I couldn’t make the payment, they reported a late payment, and now my score dumped 72 points. I had a bad feeling about using a credit booster.
I found out about this company early on, when you would borrow $12 and pay back a $1 a month. Then they grew and had other products, cool. The thing I dislike was their customer service or lack of one. It was hard to reach someone. And then when I sent my payment of $11 (bill was $10 and change), I was sent the entire payment back with a note stating I need to send the exact amount, I’m done. Obviously, I didn’t care about the leftover change.
DONT. You will get a small boost. However, you will get a larger decline if you cancel your subscription. It shows as a closed account. You pay them to post a “credit”. You wont have access to this credit. It never shows a change in balance, even though you are paying a monthly fee. I know how important it is to build your credit. Don’t let that desperate state make you do something that is not helpful like it did. You are better off getting a refundable deposit credit card.
Not even worth it!! Filled out everything only to get nowhere. It keeps saying there is a freeze on my credit, in which it is not. It has been unfrozen. Reached out to customer service and all they did was reset it and said try again. Tried again, well same error message!! All information is correct. Waste of time. I will be placing the freeze back to my name.
App lowered my credit score. Had the account for several months, ended up changing quite a few things in life, job, apartment, etc. Didn’t really have a need for the service and coming back to it now see that instead of the subscription for credit builder simply lapsing, it instead reported months and months of missed payments to my credit lol. Well played sir.
Horrible app and program. I was excited at first until it came time to pay for my monthly plan. Well I signed up for the lower plan to start but accidently hit the higher dollar plan. I contacted customer service and told them about the issue, they responded and told me it was fixed. I went back in still the same. Looked at my cash app and they are still trying to take the higher subscription amount out of my cash app. So I contacted customer service again they said its fixed, no it’s not.
