App is pretty much useless. If you want to download chapters you have to check the manually. For example, trying to download all of Apotheosis effectively crashes the app. It might be possible to do it if you check it one at a time. But that means you have to click 1300 times
Disappointing. Apparently defines “niche comics” as “offbrand disney comics and a handful of original stories”. They claim to have popular titles, and have maybe a dozen, if that. Some categories are completely empty, which leaves one wondering why they even bother to include them at this point. Everything costs $. I got this after getting an email from Manga Rock – by far the best manga app I ever had. Sad to say, this is nowhere near a match. I give two stars for the “read later” capability.
This app is incredible hard to navigate. There’s no ability to search alphabetically (like a list of all comics), which should be a no-brainer for any comic app, and there are so few genres available that searching by genre is rarely helpful. I’m sure that the catalogue will expand as time goes on, so that isn’t a problem. The problem is that when it does, I won’t be able to find anything.
The app works beautifully but the design is just overwhelming. It’s like they took the parts of the old MR app that were annoying and then doubled down on them. There’s way too much going on and I expected to be able to find what I’m looking for much more easily. I’m not really sure what sets it apart from all its more established competitors besides offering a (significantly smaller) library from multiple countries. Looking forward to seeing how they’ll improve with all the feedback & reviews.
Never runs smoothly and loads slow. The web version is much smoother to use and navigate. Also in the app there’s almost always ads that cut off at least one panel of each comic. It’s very frustrating. There is a good selection of comics, although sometimes errors in translation (grateful for translations and the translators though) can make it a little hard to understand what’s going on in story progression.

It is what it is. I got an email for my former MangaRock account, with some sort of deal for Coins and Ink, which I have not received yet. The library is vastly different from what it was at the time with MangaRock. I get it, this is a new, legitimate app/site. The library is far too small compared to what it was though. The sensitivity is all over the place as well. Things barely move or fly around whenever I try to navigate. PocketComics, Tappytoon, and others are better, for now at least.
I’ve had this app downloaded since beta, and I’ve avoided judging it till now because of how much I enjoyed manga rock. But it’s time. This app is terrible. The selection of comics is disappointing, but the real problem is the instability. It makes you download another update to fix crashing issues, but I cant even get half way through one chapter of a comic before it crashes. Every time I try to read. It’s just a disappointment, especially when you compare it to manga rock.
Fairly decent app – daily opportunities to earn ink (currency) and bigger challenges for greater rewards periodically. Biggest reason this got docked stars is because the viewer for reading is so irritatingly faulty! It’s a nightmare trying to back out of the app (clicking once should pull up the navigation, but it also sends the screen flying to the next page more often than not, making it near impossible to navigate). The entire app also crashes often, usually after a full screen ad.
Needs more content. Too much BL and kid content. I miss the range of filtering it used to have. Now we have to pay monthly AND pay for coins to unlock content. I was completely devoted to MangaRock and beta tested (despite a lack of good content). I’m disappointed. If I have to pay, at least don’t make me pay twice. I loved MangaRock so much that I’ll still keep an eye on this app to see if it improves.
As a former subscriber to Manga Rock, I was very excited to see INKR and I appreciate what they are trying to do. There are many good things about the app, it looks crisp and clean, and it’s the only legitimate source for finding some of my favorite titles. But the biggest complaint, and the reason for a 2 star review, is the coin system. As a paid subscriber I really don’t like that many of the titles I joined to read, and had gotten quite far in, are now behind a secondary paywall.
At $4.99 a month, it would be reasonable, but a lot of content still needs to be unlocked with coins. This service is only good if you want to support comic authors, but for actually reading comics and manga, scans are better. The scan translations are better and there are more chapters and also more quickly updated compared to INKR.

I was really hoping it would be a bit like MR where you don’t need a subscription to read, but I was disappointed to see in the actual app. I MUST have a subscription or I get to read nothing but what I already read on the Beta. It would be better to have ads at the bottom of the pages or possibly videos after a few chapters of binge reading. It’s disapppointing to see it not being as accessible as MR or the Beta. It’s pretty ok otherwise.
I’ve beta test the app and I can say that INKR has potential to be quite amazing. I came back to edit my previous review, was a 2, now I brought it up to a 4 because of the update which allows readers to finally read for free using a new currency called Ink Which can be received by completing challenges. This is a great idea! There’s many challenges and it gives out tons of Ink, everyday. If they just add more manga content and fixed a couple more things the app would honestly be the perfect!
Purchased INKR Extra specifically for one title (Ogus’s Law) out of nowhere and more than 100 chapters in the translation quality absolutely tanked. Horrible localized names, bad typesetting, filler words left in bubbles, stilted dialogue, you name it! Absolutely zero quality control. I’ll be spending my money on a different app thanks.
The next work needs improvement. This app loads slow. Even though, I know I have good internet. Over all this app is alright. Lastly? Some stores are really good and should be free to read as well when there are people like me can’t afford it.
The stories are great and their monthly membership is not a bad price; especially considering all the perks. I just wish that when you would use coins to purchase stories that each chapter wasn’t so expensive
3.5 out of 5 Pros, prices are reasonable, compared to bilibili and webtoon. Cons some of it is a scam like the 1 month free inkr stuff, just buy the coins and a subscription, don’t fall for the bait. Limited selection and comics usually get dropped.
Love this app and the ink system. I just don’t know why people give those mean review! 🙄The comics are good enough. So,I would like to give 5 stars. Hope this app will get a new version❤️
It used to be a good app. In the initial stages of its development it was a great way. But now its just feels like grinding. Watch ads subscribe to un- interest manga/comic and it smooth compare to its initial stages but its still buggy/ laggy. You can’t even keep the unlocked episode for more then 24 hour. Its lock again. Honestly not worth it
the ui for reading chapters is garbage, it will consistently zoom out or turn black and then scroll down by itself
For some reason every page I open on my on my boox ereader is slightly zoomed in and I have to manually zoom out or just twice double tap ( one to zoom in further one to fully zoom out). Can’t seem to find a way to get rid of that otherwise it would make reading so much more pleasant. Because the zoom is highly unnecessary.
It’s a pretty good app but you have to pay for almost all the good mangas and there are alot of adds.
lots of options to get free coins and it’s easy to keep track of. I’m enjoying all my reads so far and can’t wait to find more
Progressively growing and can tell new additions are well thought out and makes the app better. Only drawback is coming from Manga Rock, a lot of content still eagerly waiting to drop for manga, webtoon and manhua side, quite heavy on side of love tales which lowers my rating. Updates are still a bit behind free reading which is a pain when paying but the great experience and no ad interruptions is actually nice, don’t even notice it’s so fluid.
whenever I click on chapter to read it maxes out my screen brightness BLINDING ME AT 2AM! And sometimes it won’t even let me adjust it bc simply touching the screen causes the comic to scroll so you have to fight the damn comic to regain control of your own phone. The 3 stars is only bc you guys have ‘on a leash’ -highly addictive story by the way it’s almost like opium.😉🤭
Offers great pricing. Occasional coin sales. And ink check-ins that can be converted to coins w/ active membership. Occasional sales on selected series. Pretty good BL selection and it is growing. It’s much more affordable than other sites, especially when buying coins at sale price. Bulk-unlock discount. Has uncensored content, which is GREAT 👍👍👍. Hasn’t encountered much lag or loading issues. App is smooth. Quality is good. Cons: some original source translations aren’t good.
I gotta say that it’s more difficult to work and you also took off all the comics I was reading which really sucks since I wasn’t done reading them.
I like this app because it give me to earn ink just by watching few ads and let unlock the episodes so don’t need to wait much.. love for this… Keep going
So I’ve been using this app for a bit now and can say has some good manga to pick from if your willing to pay the monthly but can get for free with daliy ink. But that’s now not possible for me cause some type of bug has happened and I can’t get to work anymore and the customer service is no where to be seen talked to them once and now nothing from them for over a month.
They split the manga chapters into thirds so it looks like they have more chapters available. Very deceptive.
Subscription service is broken. On the day of payment you will lose all subscription services. There should be a subscription protection in place to stop this stupid error. It’s been on going for 6 months. Fix it!
I really wanted to love the inkr app, the way it opened way really smooth, and the search functions look so easy to use, much better than the website. but just trying to view my profile page causes the app to crash at least 3 times. i can’t even open up the view membership perks tab cause it just keeps crashing. sometimes the app just crashes trying to start. I’m using Huawei p20, but my software is updated, and all my other apps run fine. this should not be happening 🙁
It won’t grant access to rented chapters. And you don’t have ” a brides story”. Though I absolutely love “AGAIN!!”
The ads is so annoying, it distrated me when reading, make it closeable
Pretty good though i would much prefer it if the choice to trade ink for coins was free
This would be a great app, even with the lack of content. It’s easy to use and the content that is on there is good. The one thing that ruins this app is the subscription system. I’m more than happy to pay a monthly fee to read manga/comics/manhua. However, even with “INKR Extra”, some titles still require the purchase of coins which only unlock chapters. It’s ridiculous. I’d be fine paying a slightly higher subscription fee but not have to pay for coins.
I tried the beta version. Its nice to see they have improved the UI and added a lot more of the popular titles. I appreciate the free chapters…However, the pay system is not good at all. There is a monthly subscription but it does not give you full access to everything. For example the series “Mode 2” will unlock 56/66 chapters with subscription but then you still need to pay for the last 10 chapters. Some titles arent offered even with the subscription. Others you get all chapters. Confusing
Designs are good and sleek, and there’s not a single intrusive ads on its main screen. But the user experience is so bad. It can’t tackle the slow connection area so third-world countries aren’t gonna happy with this. Imagine you just want to have a good read but the pages keeps delaying and loading all the time. And heck, they don’t even bother to implement a lower quality images setting to cope that. Really devs, you need to stop thinking that all of us have a good internet signals.
“Browse by genre” needs more genres. And I’d prefer if we could browse multiple genres at the same time (e.g. maybe I want to read a romance that also contains action and fantasy). Purchasing coins should also be easier accessible, not just from locked chapters if you don’t have any more coins. I don’t like that free preview chapters come with ads, ruins the experience. And stop censoring comics that were originally mature, it’s annoying. This could be a great app, but it still needs more work.
I was a fan of MR and when you guys decided to go legit I was on board, but the new app has almost no selection at all and what is there…. not to mention poorly organised. To top it all off I have to pay for the subscription AND for coins to unlock chapters on certain comics? I don’t care about paying subscription fee, that’s fair, but double dipping is a no-go for me. Uninstalling.
I used their old app manga rock which was great. This one needs a bunch of work to the library system. It needs to be easier to find manga in categories, last updated, most popular, etc. As of now its all a long scroll of short lists that is really annoying. Also the manga covers are so large you can barely see any. Would also like to see subscriptions be a major tab to navigate to, as having that and sorting it by last updated is the easiest way to keep reading the manga you like.
