This is surprisingly good, but it has a slight learning curve and takes a minute to get used to. Much better than most (if not all) OEM interfaces, and is clean. My only gripe is that it has to be connected via USB cable, and most USB ports in cars that are enabled for data transfer aren’t high wattage ports so charging is slow as hell. But the app is very much worth using, especially if your car has integrated support.
I travel for work and am in different rental cars every week. The app works well with almost all of them. I rely on the app to guide me to clients in unfamiliar cities and would be “lost” without it. One of my favorite features is the ability to see how much time different routes would add and the ability to select them. I recommend that all business travelers download this app.
I was enjoying it until the app recently decided to no longer work thanks to the latest update. I’ve had the app for the past 2 years, and now suddenly Android Auto’s update occurred and has rendered it useless in my car. Developers, if it ain’t broke, why fix it? UPDATE 05-01-22 Thanks to the Android Auto team for the guidance on how to submit a bug report! 👍It appears that the Android OS update was the problem, not the app!
Used to be much more stable. I recently upgraded to an S22 Ultra, and continuously have connection issues. Hard to believe the newer phones would have such a terrible user experience with Android auto. I’ve had to completely reset Android auto, and delete my phone from my vehicle several times over the course of 2 weeks. I hope connectivity issues can get sorted. Terrible execution on an otherwise very useful app.
