The new eco+ option that allows you to select your TOU rate shows options from my power company, but no matter which option is selected it returns an error in saving. Everything else seems to work fine. I am on a peak demand rate, it would be nice if I could set the two air conditioner units to not run at the same time. That could save a lot of money. Really surprised that ecobee does not support this. Would be a bigger feature that most everything else in terms of savings.
I am unable to find my first review, but only a couple changes, using my computer I was able to set up an acct, but not completely, like it just says error when I attempt to enter my service provider and app will NOT work on my cell phone but almost work on computer. We just end up having to go to the thermostat on the wall to get anything done.
I’ve been enjoying the app and thermostat. It’s an easy to use app. Easily charge temp settings. I love the auto of cooling or heating without personally swapping between the 2. Or set just cool or heat. A variety of other settings. You can verbally adjust temp from Google Home or Alexa. I hope they have the blue appearance app come back. It was a trial one.
In 2020 the thermostat and app worked great. Now it seems to be full of bugs and I spend more time on them than anyone should on a thermostat. I’m disappointed with the purchase after first year. Save yourself the money on the sensors. I find them to be more of a bother as well because they do not perform as intended. They are trying to make the app and thermostat do so much it’s convoluted and buggy now. Also, don’t email their tech support. Last two times I got responses after 3 days.
