The Dexcom G6 Glucose Program Continuous Glucose Monitoring System (Dexcom Glucose Program System) is a real time, continuous glucose monitoring device indicated for the management of diabetes in persons age 2 years and older.
The Dexcom Glucose Program System is intended to replace fingerstick blood glucose testing for diabetes treatment decisions for persons with diabetes who are not at significant risk of severe hypoglycemia. Interpretation of the Dexcom Glucose Program System results should be based on the glucose trends and several sequential sensor readings over time. The Dexcom Glucose Program System also aids in the detection of episodes of hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia, facilitating long-term therapy adjustments.
The Dexcom Glucose Program System is also intended to autonomously communicate with digitally connected devices. The Dexcom Glucose Program System can be used alone or in conjunction with these digitally connected devices or services for the purpose of managing diabetes.

UPDATE: it’s disheartening to get the same boilerplate response that Dexcom has been using for over four years about why they can’t support more than the tiny handful of devices that they do. There are literally thousands of apps that support all Android versions/hardware without having to create separate releases for every iteration. After four years, it’s obvious that it’s a very low priority for them. Is the issue not being able to monetize the effort?
I was having issues with my older phone loss of signal alerts at least three an hour.. thought maybe it was my phone. Upgraded my phone to the latest phone. A Pixel 6 pro and I just found out that my phone is not compatible… Totally wasn’t expecting all this trouble. Absolutely overwhelming. I have reached out and months later I am still in this same situation.
Like others, I was very happy with this system on my old phone. Bought a Samsung Z-Fold 3 and now I have no app. Carrying a separate receiver device has proven problematic — it’s not always with me like my phone is. And when i lose it, there’s no way to locate it by calling it. Some estimates for when this will be addressed would be helpful.
This app does not run on my four month old Pixel 6 running Android 12. It doesn’t even try. It just throws up an incompatibility message. It is unconscionable that an app used for medical purposes is not tested against pre-release versions of Android so that it can be ready to go when a new OS launches. That is the whole purpose of the beta program.
