  1. App Always forces updates, and makes it so I can’t scan in store. Once I update, I have to sign back in and get an SMS code to verify. At this point I have paid in store and now am doing the “forgot to scan” procedure. The button to move right to next screen is blocked by the keyboard hide down arrow. There’s also a checkmark that looks like it should move to next screen does not work. Very annoying to go through all this while just trying to get fast food. Scan should be much easier than this

  2. The app works OK I guess but I did notice that the restaurant staff for the location i used to go to for lunch prioritizes service by tip amount. Maybe the staff is just lazy IDK but i refuse to tip for carryout. While I don’t oppose tipping, it should not be expected and is based on previous experience… which was horrible in the first place. It should not be a feature in the app.

    I was a daily customer until i was no longer able to pay for my items at checkout. Every day, it gives me the “We’re experiencing an issue processing payments. But you can pay at the restaraunt.”. Even when i hold the button to place the order, it gives me another efror message. I am now unable to place orders through the app. I’ve tried troubleshooting steps but no success.

This app basically doesn’t have real-time connection to what foods/condiments/drinks are available at the store you’re ordering from, so you’re likely to get substitutions or nothing, and won’t be notified of those changes before walking out the door with your order. Also the app is run apparently by an outsourced firm, so staff in a particular store can’t interact with it and are put in a difficult position, and any credits require a purchase, so you’re not getting a full replacement.

    Tons of glitches. First, “The Usual” option from both the default view AND the Orders view doesn’t work. Why even have it? Then, I try to pay for a $25 order by applying my giftcard balance of $24 and then pay the remainder with Google Pay as I always do and it won’t process. I restarted the app, updated the app, and forced shut down and rebooted the app. And it still doesn’t work. Then, I removed an item to avoid splitting the payment AND IT STILL DOESN’T WORK!!! Unreal. Hire new developers…

  6. The app could be better designed. For example, last night I went to the rewards section to redeem a reward, placed the order, but when I picked up the order the guacamole was missing even though my points were deducted. This morning I found an email that said I could use a button to apply my redeemed reward to my order. Update: I tried to use the reward that was sent to me via email. I gave up after 20 minutes. This is convoluted, circular nonsense

  7. SCAMMERS!!! I tried to use my earned points to order one of the items but kept getting error “something went wrong”. Contacted the support and provided screenshots etc – their only response was to reinstall the app! Support agents are also useless. Ok, I reinstalled the app and tried logging in – I got the message that password is wrong. Tried to get a new password – no reaction when you press the button “Forgot password” and provide ur email. This company is a scam and the app is tge worst!!!

  8. This is one of the worst user experiences I have ever scene. And the navigation is terrible. Furthermore, its unbelievably upsetting when you can’t place an order despite trying to order on a second device. Just keeps saying the price wasn’t right, and it has been updated. Then the price doesn’t change and endless loop. Just wanted to use my damn BDay reward. Update: now my birthday reward is missing from the app entirely and never got to use it. And still no reply from. Chipotle 1 week later.

  9. Always have trouble with this app. Lots of bugs the developers need to take a look at. Payment hardly ever processes successfully, the app does not accept adding new credit cards, sometimes the UI does not load when you open the app, the rewards are always difficult to claim, the map didn’t load for me a few times, etc.

    Just go in and order if you get more than 1 thing, app/chipotlane not worth it. At best they refund you with store credit/rewards that isn’t enough to even reorder the exact items they messed up, if you can even redeem Ordered 4 meals, no meal was labeled correctly and was missing the $20 burrito. Only option is to talk to an automated chat and drive another 30mins round trip for an over priced burrito. Not to mention they try to get you to donate to causes left and right. What next, pop up ads?

  11. the app is great and easy to use. took a star off bc it caps you on how much you’re allowed to tip the delivery drivers. I don’t think the app should have a say in what I want to give drivers. I would appreciate a pop-up to confirm if the tip seems high, to avoid accidental over-spending… but it shouldn’t stop you if you choose to proceed with that amount.

  12. The newest update to the app sucks. It took almost a half an hour to place the order. then the fastest delivery time was no longer available. I love Chipotle food, but between the lousy app and the poorly-estimated completion time, we now only visit every six months or so. We need to just start going to Qdoba – it’s basically the same food and far less hassle.

It’s mostly a great app. Three downsides: one, you’re probably getting a smaller portion if you order in the app; two, they only let you use one gift card at a time, and you can’t combine gift cards; three, the app isn’t very intuitive and you have to learn how to navigate it in order to use it.

  14. My fault, I ordered from the wrong store. Tried to use Pepper to cancel or change the order. No luck. Called the restaurant and couldn’t speak to a human. Automated system was not helpful. Tried to contact support from the app and the links were not loading. It would just go back to the last page. It shouldn’t be this hard to connect with someone.

  15. In my opinion, a gigantic design flaw is the fact that the app does not confirm the location you’re picking up. I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve ordered from favorites and it doesn’t confirm location and I end up at the wrong location. In my opinion this is a design flaw. This 1 star, please fix and confirm location pick up.

  16. Terrible. Order in person. If anything is wrong, missing, or out of stock you WILL NOT GET A REFUND. Also, you may get an automated free drink or chips, but not the value of your order. And you can’t get any further assistance once the credit is dispensed BY A BOT. This same issue has been present for years now. As was a fan of Chipotle for so many years, this (and issues in-store) has unfortunately ended that.

  17. Absolute garbage… Orderings fine ..customer service level zero. There’s no one to talk to they just automate everything. My order bounced back because they couldn’t get a delivery driver, so I picked a new store and placed it again and it bounced back again for the same reason. I tried again and got a different error code. Went to my card and had three charges and a hold on my debit card. Tried calling the store, customer service but never got an acknowledgement so no order number.

  18. I stopped eating at chipotle as often because the payment part never works. I keep a card on file and up until maybe 2 or 3 months ago, never had issues with it. Now, every other time I try to order food for pickup, I can’t because the payment isn’t working. So I go to another place instead. I hate waiting in lines. Please fix the app so I can eat more chipotle!

    The app is not the most consistent. It frequently has issues logging in or completing simple tasks. I’ve missed out on quite a lot of points because the apps inability to work right. When it works, it works fine. Before leaving a review I wanted to make sure I was being fair. So I logged on 5 times and gave a star for every time it worked.

    Absolutely irritating this is three times now where I’ve tried to order only to get the sorry were having issues with payment but u can pay in store well I held the button to place order and pay in store only for errors. I don’t know where yall went wrong, but seriously, fix this issue asap. Until then, the rating is staying at 1 star. Has nothing to do with the store, just this app.
