Terrible experience lately with the app on Pixel 4a phone. At the end of the ordering process where there are questions about utensils, napkins etc the continue button doesn’t appear on the screen, so you pretty much stuck there. This makes ordering from the app impossible. It does work on other phones with larger screens though. Needs to be fixed ASAP.
The app is great. It has very rarely been slow or buggy, and any sort of app crash is even rarer still. The rewards system is far superior to McDonald’s version. There’s no limit, at least that I know of, to the amount of points/rewards you can use at any singular instance, and there’s no time restriction after using said points/rewards. If you want to drain 4k points at dinner, they aren’t going to stop you……not that I’ve done that…. 10/10
This app was hands down my favorite app ever. So easy to use. However, for the past two weeks, I’ve tried to order via the app and every time I “pick a restaurant”, the app directs me back to the home screen to pick delivery or pickup. Then it gives me an error and says it’s not working and to close the app or report an issue. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled a dozen times. So sad and frustrated right now
I love getting points for free Chick-fil-A! This app is easy to navigate. I’ve only have one bad experience using it, I tried to redeem points for 1 free shake, however apparently I had 2 free shakes set and ready to be redeemed and was not able to get my points refunded for this mix up, even though I only ordered and received 1. I asked and was told how it automatically uses the available rewards (when set to do so) but I only got 1 and was charged for 2! Please fix this annoying feature.
Usually a good app and I love earning points to get free food. Also love the option to be able to order ahead of time or sit down in the restauraunt and order from the table. However, since I got a new phone, the app no longer works and simply says it has a bug when I open it up. It says to try reinstalling it after the developer comes up with a fix for the bug. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, but it appears that I will no longer be able to earn rewards using the app.
The best mobile ordering experience I’ve ever had. This app was the first time I’ve ever used mobile ordering and was truly satisfied with the experience. Ordering was simple, each step made sense, the layout was perfect, and the app didn’t freeze or give me any problems. The notifications were a bit much but I appreciate knowing what is happening with my order. I will definitely use this app again.
I love Chick-fil-A! And the app has always been great. But, a recent update has caused some location issues. It struggled to locate me and doesn’t recognize when I’m at the store. I always have to tell it to start preparing my order upon arrival. I have “always use location” on and “precise location” on as well. While it’s a minor inconvenience, it is a bit frustrating. Second thing. Recently my store is not longer delivering themselves it is now through Door Dash. So, I can’t use my giftcard.
Horrible! I got a new phone a month ago and tried to use the app, it won’t let me log in, sends me an email to verify the device, once I do and try and log in, it takes to the the website and makes me log in again. Endless cycle. I have a lot of rewards points and can’t use them!!! Very frustrating!!! I even uninstalled, reinstalled, and changed my password. Nothing works! Fix this asap!!
Quite possibly the worst UI I’ve used in a decade. Program is not intuitive instead it is quite counterintuitive… Choice location not showing up on the normal menu would have to close up reopen and then go into a sub menu to find where I wanted to go even though you would see it on the map it wouldn’t allow you to select it. In the process of trying to order the app crashed twice. I havent for this angry trying to order food ever. If I could thi wou;d have got 0 stars instead of the single
Blocking VPNs makes it annoying to use, and the extra steps required to disconnect just to order via the app has made me skip going to CFA on multiple occasions. I used to go for lunch or dinner a few times during the week since it was close to work, but it isn’t worth the hassle. Update 1/3/23: After fixing their VPN issue, they broke the app again and now it is just worthless as before, telling me I have too many accounts on my device. I have one account on my device.
Got a new phone and the app refuses to let me sign in. I try but it says page expired because it sends me to a web page to sign in(sometimes that page will not even load). I can sign in on my computer without any issues. Copied the web address to try it manually on Chrome and my laptop. It is a corrupt address. Both screens started doing crazy things like icons enlarge and shrink. Everything ended up enlarged to 400% by the time it stopped.
Loved this app until recently when I got a new phone and now I am having the same problem as many of the other folks on here where it’s an endless loop of trying to log in, takes me to a browser, crashes, etc. Awful! I have rewards and can’t use them. I can’t even figure out how to reach support. I really hope CFA fixes this issue. Loved it in the past.
App refuses to let me log in. Says it doesn’t recognize my device, and says it sent me an email. But no email. Try resend email, nothing. This is not a new phone, I’ve used this app at least 4 times a week, on this phone just fine. I just spent 20 minutes in the parking lot trying to log in so I could order breakfast and use my rewards. Without the app and the rewards, I’d rather just get food elsewhere. Convenience goes a long way for me.
Have had this app since launch with only the occasional crashing issues. Learned of a security issue a few weeks ago. Changed my password. App no longer lets me sign in. Have emailed customer support multiple times and have received a single message telling me to try things I’d already told them I’d done. Very poor support from an app I’ve supported from the beginning.
My son accidentally logged me out of the APP. Now when I try to log back in it sends me through an endless loop on between the app and the web browser. It shouldn’t have to connect to a web browser at all. I am at red status but I don’t have the ability to enjoy being in red status because I can’t log back in. Chick-fil-A has great service but they still have A LOT of work to do on this APP.
Not too pleased about the app update. The idea of this app is so customers can have their orders prepared in advance and get their food faster so they don’t have to wait too long. Now, everytime I place a mobile order for curbside and whenever I check into my spot, the app doesn’t pick up the location signal and keeps saying that I’m not near the restaurant even though I had my mobile data turned on. Never had this problem before. This needs to be fixed asap.
App keeps crashing. The app was great until the other day. In the middle of ordering, it crashed & signed me out. Now, it will not let me sign back in. Just repeatedly keeps crashing. Tried contacting support, but you have to be signed in in order to do so. It’s pretty frustrating making me not want to eat here. We eat Chick-fil-A pretty often, so I’m missing out on tons of points and rewards. Please fix it, and I’ll fix my review
A recent update logged me out of the app. Try to log back in and it’s an endless loop of opening a web page, logging in, app crashes, start over. Seeing many others with this same issue and it’s been going on for awhile. Can’t even place an order without logging in. In short, the app is useless.
Using a gift card on this app is a huge scam. If you’re short any amount of money, there’s no using a second payment method to cover the difference, you have to add a minimum of $10 to your Chick-fil-A account before you can use your credit. They’ve managed to add micro transactions to buying your lunch. I’d be almost impressed if I didn’t want to vomit.
New phone wouldn’t let me open app. Got diff messages, app has bug wait and try again, and update my browser, and open on too many devices. I was able to fix the issue by opening the chic fil a app settings (settings, app, chic fil a), then set as default in other app, and uncheck open supported links. Not sure if a flook but that worked for me.
Login/Password Reset impossible post Security Breach. Due to the prompt to change passwords for the potential security breach I followed the steps to change my password. Now I’m stuck with a black app OAuth screen that never finishes processing. App worked fine prior to reset. Normally I’d encourage resetting passwords ASAP. But note if you do, you may be locked out of the app. Chick FIL a ‘s dev team seems to have an issue here (see other comments).
Rarely able to use the app successfully. Almost always requires me to log out and log back in, then verify with an email “for my security.” Or the good old “We’re experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later.” Orders placed via the app take longer than just waiting in the line in-store or drive thru. I’m not sure why I still try to use this app.
Been stuck in an infinite loop without being able to login since the last update deleted my profile. I used to login gge app directly, but now it takes you to a browser where I can login, but it never retrieves my credentials in the app. App just once again kicks me back to the browser. And so on. It’s extremely frustrating since I had a lot of points that I can’t use when I need to.
The app is usually ok. Nothing great. But just tried to use it and it crashed. Got an error saying the app has a bug. Try reinstalling after developer comes up with a fix. Won’t open. Already reached my limit on scanning receipts I can scan in later. So I suppose I’ll just miss out on points. Starting to look like garbage to me.
Update: The app quit crashing. Everything works well except for the curbside pickup order processing screen. It used to work well and now it is terrible. Was great. Now it crashes Update: The Curbside pickup order processing screen no longer crashes but it is terrible. Please change it back to the way it was. Simple. Functional. Reliable.
It seems they recently updated their mobile order location tracking page, the page that shows up after you place your order when you’re on your way to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the page seems to take forever to load if it loads at all. The location tracking doesn’t work well anymore, either. It kept saying I was at different places around the restaurant instead of right next to it. The “I’m already at the restaurant” button was broken as well.
This new update sucks!!! In about 3-4 years or so, I’ve never had one single issue with this app. The update has logged me out of my account, tried to login again & takes me to a web browser within the app that does not load, then says it can’t log in. It’s been this way for nearly a week. Tried restarting the app & nothing. I’m going somewhere else to eat because the app isn’t working & I’m not getting my rewards. Fix the app & I’ll fix the review. I just want it to work!!
So easy to use, even if you need to customize things! My only complaint, and it’s a tiny one, is that they don’t start preparing your mobile order until you click on “I’m here” but you can avoid the delay (if you’re in a hurry) by saying you’re already there a few minutes before you arrive. It’s all very clean, intuitive design. Really easy to keep track of points and rewards, too.
When you mess up a great app… CFA truly had one of the best apps in the industry until its “update” a few months ago. The inability to customize orders makes it impossible to use the app and maximize efficiency. You either have to make changes when you check-in for the mobile order (not possible with drive-thru mobile express lanes), or forego getting what you actually want. Please bring back customizations!
It worked OK until the last update. Now it is an endless loop. Doesn’t work for me at all. Different issues identified. Bug, problem logging on, user or password not recognized, verify device, update browser. If it ever gets fixed I might use it. Meanwhile I probably will use another fast food app that works reliably. Can’t log in
Only giving one star for now because the app isn’t functioning correctly. I signed in and went to place a delivery order. I was asked to verify my phone number, which I did and even received the “Successfully verified phone number message”. I’ve done this several times. Closed the app, made sure it was updated, restarted my phone, etc, but can’t get past that screen. It just keeps prompting me to verify my phone number.
The app is great for ordering. But for some reason I do not get push notifications on my device. Unless I check in the app I will not know when I have a free reward. I’ve even reset my entire device to factory & reinstalled the app. Frustrating! Would be nice to delete News items or at least mark them as read instead of always showing there is new News when there isn’t. Would also be nice to know when I have a new reward from a store manager waiting for me; I would “Eat More Chicken.”

Please, please PLEASE help before I lose my reward on the app 😭
I keep trying to create an account and continue to get the 401 error pop-up. I can’t find the password rules to see if that’s the issue. I’ve tired two different email accounts, several different passwords…..this didn’t work. So I uninstalled and tried again. I’ve cleared cache and made sure permissions are open. No luck. I need some help.
Really enjoy the app and live you have the freedom to redeem your points ad you’d like. If that means 2000 for a drink, side, and entree, so be it. Most places are only 1 item at a time per day or transaction. Not consumer friendly like this app. Only issue I have and hope I can get fixed is the red card on my account. I’ve used it once to preload 2 years ago and now everytime in drive thru it scans and they say yourcard doesn’t have a balance, how do I remove that so it doesn’t pop up?
It’s okay. Maybe more of a quibble with their rewards system than the app itself. Moved to the top awards tier this year and I’m like what’s the point of having spent so much with them? You get more points, but they’ve raised the value of the items. So fine, I get more points per transaction, but now a salad that used to be like 1200 points is now 1800, so it doesn’t really matter anyways🤷 just another app to scan now
Ever since the update in the end of January, I haven’t been able to select delivery. Every single time as soon as I select the restaurant, it takes me back to the selection screen or it crashes. It still works for pickup, but I prefer to order delivery. I tried to go through contact the developer before leaving a negative review, but I got no response at all and it is obviously still buggy weeks later.
I’ve used the app twice and there’s been problems both times. You can’t order in advance which defeats the convenience of ordering through the app. Also the location is horrible at updating so you have to go through the drive through or order inside. Why is the app designed like this? Update it so you can order in advance. The food doesn’t get cold in a few minutes.
I’ve never had problems with the app but in early-mid January it all of a sudden needed me to log in. When I would try it wouldn’t let me saying it didn’t recognize the information and every once in a while it actually let me log in through the website but when it needed to return to the app it said it had a bug and couldn’t open the app. Please fix!!! I love the ease and efficiency of the app! Plus can’t order ahead with out it! Or access points!
Absolutely ridiculous 🙄 App was working fine until last update, now I’ve list points can’t order on-line and have money stuck in a loop I’ve called CS several times no help at all… This was the easiest way to make purchases without the wait!! Everyone knows drive-thru is over the river and through the woods.. I can’t upload missed transactions. Big Loss!! If I could give App 0 I would!!
