    Update3: so difficult. I saved and want to start from where I left off, however that is not saved anymore. Imagine that. this paramount app terrible. It is so slow and so many commercials. I will try to update to the non commercial level, but would not use it if you can use some other app. Trying to appreciate, but I cannot. 21 full length commercials in one episode so far. If there was 25 commercial at the beginning or the end, but it’s like every few minutes! Ànother commercial Grrr. Shame!

  2. The app freezes the shows regularly. You need to skip ahead 10 seconds and it usually resumes. It also has forced built in commercials multiple times throughout the episode you are watching. You pay for the service and it forces you to watch commercials. You are unable to skip them part way, speed them up, or anything. Other services have a commercial at the beginning and then are uninterrupted. You can watch it through your browser ad free and no freezing issues w/out the app.

    This is the ONLY app that 100% of the time freezes on my TV, and I DO NOT have slow Internet nor do I have many devices connected at once. I start watching a show, and it freezes towards the end of the ads. I turn off TV for a few mins and it will do it again and again on a DAILY basis. Y’all need to fix this, I’m not into paying for a service that wastes my time.

  4. Interface looks great, good movies and shows. The problem is that the app is tremendously slow on all devices. No other apps are this slow on same networks, so it must be an app issue. Seems like others are having the same issue. If you have not paid for the app yet I’d suggest not doing so until this issue is fixed. Gets very frustrating trying to watch a movie/show and it has to constantly buffer. App will usually take too long to load and freezes then kicks you out anyways.

    Luckily I don’t have to pay for this as it comes with Walmart+ subscription but this is the worst streaming platform. The app itself and it’s interface are fine. Streaming and casting is very annoying. The ads and the content are constantly buffering and I can’t get through 10 minutes without it having to load for a minute. If I try to skip to another time, it will take 5 minutes to load or crash completely. And my other services like Hulu/Netflix are just fine on the same network.

  6. Have to watch tons of commercials when you “fast forward,” especially annoying if you’re trying to go back to a particular part of a particular show. I got more complaints! There was a week or more where all the shows I tried to watch just started skipping to the next episodes after watching just 5 minutes. Also, when I pause watching and come back later, I have to watch another and then sometimes the show doesn’t even resume where I left it.

  7. Decent for sports coverage. But trying to navigate the menu is a bit cumbersome. If you wanna go back to a previous episode of something than the episode you’re currently on, prepare for a labyrinth of different screens. Homescreen just needs more functionality without having to reroute several different times to find something. Update: Not any better. Docked a star.

  8. Perfect app for ads. Ads play and content doesn’t. This has gone on for awhile, so Paramount does not care. Way too many ads and they are intrusive and even premium has ads. The app itself has horrid performance and is prone to freezing and buffering. Sometimes it does not go back to the show after the big blocks of ads. The developers should be ashamed of themselves for this terrible mess of an ad app.

  9. Use this on my fire stick. It constantly crashes when trying to open up the app. Literally have to start it around 8 times until it finally works. Then I might start a show before it crashes again. Once you get something started it generally works just fine but it’s such a pain to get going. Something needs to get fixed, because it’s pretty ridiculous. Only app that does this…

    I had a lot of problems with paramount plus at first, but now it’s doing good. The support team was very helpful as well. Good app. Update: there’s always glitches with this app. On every episode at the same time it skips back to a certain part and won’t let me go back. It’s constantly freezing. And there’s constant errors.

  11. It’s a lie. You have to pay to see any episodes. I paid. You’ll see tons of ads. Not a smooth way to watch shows. But there are a few decent shows to watch if you can find them and set through mind numbing repetitive ads over and over. Customer service is nonexistent. I’ve tried to contact them to change my payment info through the app, through the internet, through the chat help option, and by calling Customer Service. No one ever answers. Either endless loop pressing options or just no answer

  12. I renewed my payment method, was charged, watched 1 movie then couldn’t watch anything. It was acting as if I didn’t have an account. I have tried calling, on hold for over 30 mins to discover that when I got done explaining my issue, no one was there. The call was connected, no one would respond. I had 5G and full bars so my connection was great. I canceled but can’t get a refund because they give access until my month is over. Still can’t watch, Netflix is thankful for my subscription renewal

  13. Too expensive for what’s on offer, plus there is no reason my viewing experience should be constantly ruined by ads, it’s a paid service. There is no reason to see any ads. Let alone the amount of reality tv, and mindless reboots. It’s also annoying how much time is required to find something interesting, and to find out it requires a subscription to showtime or statz. It is not worth it.

  14. This app is terrible! Crashes all the time, will not stop playing audio from one show when you back out to menu and choose a different show, you can’t rewind without it making you watch 2 minutes of ads, it got stuck on one episode of Ghosts and wouldn’t let me fast forward or rewind at all, when you click continue watching on an episode of a show there is no way to go to episodes of the show so if you fell asleep and need to go back a few episodes you’re forced to search the show in search bar

  15. Usability is sub par. Could not get to episodes when entered through “keep watching” and have to go back and find the same show in other section. Ads in ads free version. I don’t care if they are ads for other shows. They are ads. Slooow to load video compared to Hulu or Netflix on the sam phone and connection. If you want show you can only have here, you have no choice. If you have a choice, go with other service.

  16. I’ve had this app for a long time now. I recently updated it, I pay more but getting so much less! Never had commercials while streaming after airtime. Now I have commercials all the time and I can’t watch live daytime as it airs! I’m very disappointed and considering letting my subscription go. I would love to be able to watch TV like I did when I first subscribed!

  17. I paid for premium, and I’m not supposed to have commercials. I’m still seeing commercials when watching shows. Pretty big fail right there. Their app for TV also keeps freezing up. I think I may have to cancel this service soon. Which is too bad because there’s some good shows, but $14.99 a month is to much for a service that is unusable. I would recommend avoiding them. Paramount needs to get their act together.

  18. officially the WORST app I have on my phone & my firestick. 1. It never loads even w WiFi or full service. 2. pauses in the middle of shows- the picture gets stuck while the sound keeps going. 3. sometimes it just decides to make these high pitch sounds every 5 seconds. 4. my least favorite Is the fact you can’t rewind most of the time. I’ll try to roll it back 5 minutes & on the time bar it shows where I chose that time stamp but after the commercial it’s back to the original time & so on & on

    I’m writing this review as I watch my 12th minute of ads in the past 18 minutes of trying to watch a show. Fast forward a bit- 1:30 of ads. Rewind- 1:30 of ads. Exit app or stop casting- 1:30 of ads upon reopening. The interface is clunky, it doesn’t remember where you left off, and when you try to seek to get back to where you were, you guessed it! Ads. I get P+ free through Walmart+, but I wouldn’t pay one cent of actual money for it.

    Like the shows but a few bugs. Whenever I’m watching a show if I even touch another key the screen goes completely white and I have to close out the app and reopen it just so the screen will look normally again. Also half the time the show’s never picked backup where you left off it always starts over from the beginning which is annoying. You Guys got a few bugs to fix with this.

  21. App plays a few shows. So far, movies and most tv shows have audio only, black screen. Developer reply was useless. Chatbot is a massive waste of time; all it does is list menus and articles I already found on the paramount web page. I have forced quit, restarted my router, restarted my app, closed other apps, cleaned caches. I don’t have ad blocker software to turn off. Some shows work. Most don’t. How about you format all the shows the same way so they all work?

  22. Worst streaming app we’ve ever used, unless you have about 2 hours to watch a 1 hour show. Yes, every time the app blinks, you are forced to re-watch the same commercials again and again and again and again. Do not be tricked into paying for this horrible app! It’s too bad, because the content is solid. Maybe they will one day fix the app. Update in December 2022: The app still has not been repaired! Terribly designed app. Utterly ridiculous.

  23. If it wasn’t because i watch certain shows on here I would throw this app in the trash! Worse streaming app and definitely not better since becoming paramount+ ! It would be nice if the checked out the other streaming services and copy and repair how it works. It gets stuck.. it voices over a commercial. Gets stuck in a commercial.. it starts to go to the next episode when there is 15min left.. It doesn’t leave you where you left off and then you have to start it over again! Fix it. Be better!

  24. I really like it. It’s pretty easy to use, there are a wide range of shows and movies (and even Live TV!) to watch. And you pay as low as $5 a month! That’s one-half the price of Netflix! I’m docking one star because there are ads, even on Premium, and it buffers a lot, even with a good device and a strong connection. Keep up the good work!!!

  25. The worst streaming app. None of my other streaming apps have any problems, but I can barely get through 25 seconds of anything without buffering, even the annoying commercials. Then, when I try to pick up where I left off, I’m forced to watch the commercials buffering, and then the video inevitably stops working again.

    Frequent issues with the app where it won’t open or it takes forever to load, on some tvs can’t get it to work where there is some strange issue with it buffering every minute during the program which makes it unwatchable. another TV I can’t get any of the content to load at all. Spent too much time trying to fix these technical issues.

  27. I’ve been a little… very harsh with my last 2 reviews. The reason I pay for these services is to watch great programs and not have to wait a week for the next episode. It’s frustrating to still pay and still wait due to technical issues. Also, it always puts me ahead an episode or 2 where I see spoilers. Paramount has great programing, customer support and I look forward to a great app. Sorry for being grumpy. Have a great year!

I get errors when using the app on my phone and errors when watching on my smart TV and errors when watching with my fire stick. you need to figure out what your issues are because it’s not worth paying for when it won’t let you watch even a full episode without an error. it wouldn’t be bad if you could pick up where you left off but it starts the show over at the beginning and if you fast forward to where you were you get another error.

  29. Sloooow app!! It gets on my nerves!! I don’t have slow internet. All other apps work fine. But Paramount Plus is just slow. It’s slow on my phone, slow on my smart TV. I haven’t even tried it on my tablet. Shows and movies are fine. Plenty of movies n programs to watch. What also gets on my nerves, is all the damn commercials!! I want to rewind to watch a scene again, I have to watch commercials. Forward, more commercials. Want to start where I left off? Commercials!! Makes me want to cancel.

  30. While there are plenty of shows/movies to pick from, this app (I watch on my Xbox or smart tv) makes it virtually impossible to watch. The constant buffering and freezing every few seconds makes it beyond frustrating, even constant restarting does not help. If it wasn’t for all the Star Trek shows being on Paramount, I would have canceled already. This is absurd, I have never had so much trouble with constant buffering and freezing with any other subscription service.

  31. The TV app is decent. Sometimes when it switches shows it says too many people are watching & I am they only one watching. I have to go out & back into the app. I wish it had all seasons of the shows. The phone app sux. You can only download 4 episodes & it doesn’t work well on data. It is for a phone that is on data! Increase the number of downloads or make it more data friendly. I pay extra for no commercials. It’s kind of annoying that I still have to watch some. I should be able to skip them

  32. All of a sudden, my app quit working on my TV, asked me to sign up, (some how Google lost my account), so when I repurchased it, now my local TV station will not work when trying to watch live. I uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times, each time I allowed my location, but nothing. Since I just purchased, tried canceling subscription, won’t let me do that either. Called Paramount, recording says it’s a Google issue, can’t get ahold of them. Not sure what happened at start of year, but I’m very frust

  33. My daughter had this app first and we had no problem with it, so I bought a year subscription and I am having nothing but trouble. Every episode of what I am watching has 5 different advertisements, and when the ads play the screen goes blank and does not come back on when the show starts again. It is very irritating and I thought buying the year subscription I would not have all the advertisements.

  34. Ads will play through the then ad 5 of 5 won’t load and the video errors out saying “video isn’t available, etc” . Trying again only plays more ads (with no issue) and then no video.. and it keeps happening until I close the app. Then when the video finally does play, it throws me back into some random spot of the episode. And you can guess what happens when I fast forward…perfectly loaded ads lol.

  35. The content of your app is outstanding.. the problem with your app is that your ads are totally screwing up the streaming experience. I don’t mind watching an ad but when I have to continuously watch ads that generate errors to the point I have to back out of episode then restart the episode and pray there’s no ad at the beginning again to make me have to do the process all over. Fix the bug that stops everything after your ads..

  36. This app would be great if it worked. I’m seriously thinking of canceling this subscription since the only way I can watch it on my TVs is to cast it from my phone because none of the apps work on the TVs anymore and I often get commercials even though I’ve paid for a non-commercial plan. Very frustrating and of course there’s no body (customer service) to get help from. So I can’t continue to pay for poor or no service.

  37. Big Piece Of S when using the app on Firestick, but the Android app works fine. On Firestick, when you try to scrub a show forward or backward, it forces you to watch the last set of commercials – EVERY TIME. Worst functionality of any streaming app on the planet. On Android, you can go 10sec forward or backward and don’t have to choke on commercials you’ve already seen. Both apps should work the same so you get 1 star. Your brand expectation is inconsistent. You should know better.

  38. I love the shows, but I often have streaming issues no matter what device I watch on, smart TV or phone. There are many times I’m unable to watch any show at all. It plays the first commercial, then starts buffering and shuts down with an error. I’ve spoken to customer service and did the suggested unplugging of my tv as suggested by Paramount. If only Paramount could fix this, I would give it 5 stars.

  39. Needs a ton of work! Constantly crashes… It’s funny because it’ll play ads no problem but then when it plays whatever I select, it says something like please check your internet connection or it simply crashes after an ad. Needs a way to remove movies and shows from the keep watching section. I’ve noticed they stay there until you watch the whole movie or show including the credits which is retarded. I have about a dozen things that I’ve watched that are still there, only credits left to watch

    The adds are ridiculous, they freeze up all the time, forcing me to close the app, which starts the show from the beginning and then forcing me to watch the adds again in order to return to the point in the show where the add froze up in the first place. And sometimes the show will come back from an add with glitches, like it is choppy, and I have to scroll back before the add interruption and then fast forward back to the point after the add to get the video to play properly.
