Negatives first: My Bose QC Ultra are fantastic at sound presentation, yet are lousy during phone calls. I can hear the best music yet when the phone rings, callers cannot hear me at all… These Beats are merely average in comparison for music enjoyment, yet are great for phone calls. It would be great to find some earbuds that are best at both. As it stands, I use these Beats 90% because they are 100% Reliable.
Cannot properly connect Beats Fit Pro at all. The app gets stuck in a loop where it keeps redirecting to the “help connect” page. When the earbuds finally do connect they automatically disconnect as soon as even one earbud is unseated from the charging case. And you can’t update the firmware as it always errors out after about 2-3%. This is clearly a huge bug, as many other users are encountering it as well.
I have both the earbuds and headphones. The headphones work well, but when it comes to the earbuds, the list keeps going with issues. The earbuds work well if they were $20, but they’re not, and the app doesn’t work with them half the time when either it’s connecting issues or it blows up my phone with notifications that the earbuds are connected, which gets annoying when you’re trying to watch/listen to something and you keep getting a notification over and over.
The app. Keeps asking for updates . The beats fit pro stay connected while they are charging. When I want to use them, they won’t connect. It’s so frustrating . I have sent them to be fixed through Apple, and both times, they have said there’s nothing wrong with them. I will not purchase this brand again. Disappointed.
After trouble shooting my phone and spotify, I’ve come to the conclusion that it is these earbuds that are the problem! While listening to podcasts on several platforms (spotify and Amazon music especially) and noticing the skipping and cutting out, I restarted my phone, cleared cache, turned on/off Bluetooth, uninstalled/reinstalled apps and updated apps. It is definitely the earbuds! When I listen without the earbuds, no skips, no issues.
Disappointed with the beats studio buds. They are not comfortable. Sound quality is average. Location is laughably inaccurate. For the cost I would expect these to be better. I understand that we all have different ears but even with the smallest tips these were still too big. The location placed the earbuds several miles away when they were with me. Beats used to be known for their bass, these are just ok. Nothing special. Noise cancellation is, again, just Ok.
My beat fits pro will not update to the new firmware. As soon as I close the case, it seems to time out. This gives me an update error every time after only 1 or 2% complete. They are connected via Bluetooth to my Samsung phone and I can hear music playing through them in the case. However, as soon as one earbud is removed, the bluetooth is lost causing the app to completely delete them. Seem like this is a regular occurrence and needs to be fixed ASAP.
So ever since I downloaded the app (thinking the app is supposed to allow for “enhanced listening”), the music I listen to cuts in and out constantly, I have static in the background. I am very disappointed in both the beats app and the beats themselves. Poor sound and nothing is worse. Got the beats and I have never had a problem with Pandora until now. It stops on me all the time all on its own. I have Uninstalled and reinstalled. Very disappointed that it does this. I am not happy.
Horrible experience, returned them to go back to my reliable ol’ Skullcandies. I got talked into forking up 150 bucks for the Fit Pros, and then discovered you can’t even bluetooth them without first downloading this app (which in itself is a 1-star experience), then you have to do firmware updates. My update failed several times, I had to redownload the app 4x, and factory reset the headphones before I could even connect them to my phone. To ice the cake, they won’t even stay connected.
I keep getting update notifications for this stupid app. Worse, it asks for me to connect the beats to apply the update, but everytime i do that, the app pretends that everything is good, until i disconnect the headphones 🙄 You shouldnt even need to download an app to use your bluetooth device, whats even the point of bluetooth at that point. My next pair of wireless headphones wikk not be beats.
Sound is trash. Volume is low. App doesnt even register any of my beats products. Company doesn’t answer. Says i have to plug in my USB cable to change the equalizer? Really? Even when i did that, it just disconnected the device. Trash. Looking for a different brand. Guess Dre went the way of Eminem.
The “Locate my beat” setting is terrible I’ve constantly had problems finding my beats and this setting never helps for instance just today. I needed to find my beats to listen to music on the bus and it comes to find out. I use the locate my beats setting even though it doesn’t work because I was rushing and I go dead on where. Im supposedly gonna find them comes to find out that their not even in that general location. I’d just go buy something else if you’re looking for something reliable.
Sound quality and fit are great. But since switching to these, either they’re causing my phone to spaz out, or they’re bugging out themselves. Way too often, I try to pause, just for the app to crash to the point I have to restart my phone. Reliability isn’t where it should be. Imagine listening in your ear , but the push button to pause decides it won’t pause and continues playing music and crashes my streaming app in the process. FIX THIS!! I paid too much to deal with this.
Why anyone likes Apple if their products are such garbage is beyond me. I just got Powerbeats Pro, and they don’t connect properly, charge most of the time, or sound very good. And this app is worthless! There’s no point to having it. It literally only shows that your dumpy headphones are paired, and nothing else works in it. I’m currently stuck in the app, waiting for chat support, but it isn’t working. And if you hit “back” it goes all the way back to home screen. An idiotic way to navigate.
The battery life should be displayed. There should be an option to leave it displayed in the taskbar. There needs to be an option in the app to disconnect and connect one earbud at a time. The case for Powerbeats Pro is too large to carry in most cases and the independence of the earphones is completely dependent on the removal from the case. A simple power off long press on each headphone would be ideal. The app rarely displays all of the charge information for each device. Poor connectivity.
This is a great app, and the Beats work great. Why two stars? Literally at 12:02 PM every single day, the beats disconnect from the device I have them synced to. I have to manually resync them to the device before they work again. There’s no effective way to contact the company to discuss the issues and solve the problem. Again, I can’t stress how disappointing, disrupting, and irritating this is. Therefore, two stars despite the product being relatively great when it works!
Absolute garbage. It won’t connect to my beats even though my phone will, so I cant switch between transparency and noise cancelation. What’s the point of 200$ headphones if I can’t even properly use them ? It is becoming absurd how long this has been an ongoing issue as well. Y’all should be ashamed as a company. 👎 Update: app is working smoothly now (thank goodness). Thank you for improving !
Doesn’t display battery power levels as it should. It would also help if the app assisted with troubleshooting, e g. Informed you when buds aren’t set correctly to charge, or if the case isn’t charging, or if it needs to be reset, etc All it ever displays is a “How to Connect” which is utterly useless. Worst app I’ve ever seen, and that’s saying something.
(beat buds) When they work I’m happy with the quality. Bluetooth range is great, comfortable, good sound quality. However, I plug them in app doesn’t reflect charge, randomly disconnect a few times a week, only way to see case change % is flip the lid around a few times til something clicks, buds don’t always seat in charger correctly causing them to not disconnect or not charge. App UI is terrible. I’m actually pretty shocked at just how bad the app is. Overall they’re meh. Could be better.
It doesn’t work Doesn’t update, half the time only one earbud works, I can’t even verify my product. App responae: “oh no! Failed to validate” And the apps response when I try to apply firmware updates: “Update failed. Please try again.” I expect an app to work. This one doesn’t. Oh, and there seems to be an issue with the product draining all the power from the earbuds w/o them being used in the case. If I understand correctly, a case is supposed to be a place for the earbuds. Powerbeats pro
