  1. I appreciate how I am able to pick up Adobe scan after a year not using it, and I am able to follow the intuitive interface to scan and create documents from multiple pages. Not swamped with ads, have not experienced bugs or issues. Another nice feature is in the conversion to PDF my handwriting is made a bit bolder and easier to read on a screen.

  2. Can’t save new PDFs no real explanation except exceeded storage limits. Huh? There’s like 12 files here and i can’t delete half of them. I’m don’t want to store this in the cloud anyway but that’s not an option. Not even a hint of how much space i need to free up. For gids sake, Dropbox had this from the get go. Some files i tried to delete simply give the error that i can’t delete them. No, you don’t have permission (they’re my own personal files), morning but a useless message that I can’t.

  3. I’ve been using this app for a while now, and it’s definitely one of the better scanner apps I’ve used. I mostly use it for work purposes, and I’m able to get fairly clear and professional looking scans for emails. There’s always room for improvement with the interface and set up, but this app is definitely high on my list of apps I utilize for work.

  4. Scanned the document I needed into a PDF file, no problem. No problem, that is, as long as I only want it to be a HYPOTHETICAL PDF file, and not something I can actually access. I’ve tried saving a copy to my device over and over and it can’t be found and I’m over it. Now I’m looking for a PDF scanner app that will actually give me the damn file when I’m done. Adobe sucks so bad, why is the USA so obsessed with them???

I would avoid scanning sensitive documents with this. Adobe uploads everything to the cloud, without any option to keep all files locally. Everything gets auto uploaded, you have to manually delete afterwards. With the recent scandals from Adobe i suggest switching to “Lens”. That app saves it on device and doesn’t upload things to the cloud automatically.

  6. I really like this app. Creating PDFs with your phone is easy. It can create documents as you flip pages. The free version has a 25 page limit. You can upgrade and get 100 page documents. You can tidy up the corners, change the order of pages or delete them before you save. I use it often.

  7. This is the best scanning & OCR app I have ever used! It does most actions for you automatically. This app can scan pretty much anything. I just point the camer at the document, receipt, or board and it finds the edges for me automatically. I can clean up, fix, and enhance my scans and even saves files in multiple formats. There are different filters options and editing tools like, crop, rotate, and removing marks, creases, or stains. I can also save and export scans. Best scanning app ever!

  8. Scanning documents works great! But, trying to retrieve saved documents is nearly impossible. Even searching for them when they’ve been saved to my device is ridiculous and nearly impossible!!! Adobe Scan has been around for years, and they still haven’t made it easy to retrieve and read or send documents saved to a device. Should be able to just search, find, and do what you want with it.

  9. Super easy to use, even if you have never used something like this. There are only so many buttons to click, making it almost impossible to delete your document, so you can click with confidence and figure stuff out. Yet, there are so many options and features available that this a great tool. I’m not the most savvy person, but still, I use this for work almost everyday…with ease and speed.

  10. Adobe Scan, what a life saver. This app is AWESOME!! My bf & I drove all around Atlantic City trying to find a place to fax/scan etc.. and it was Sunday. Anyhow this app allows me to take a picture and save/send so it doesn’t look like it was a picture taken. (Turns print out into document online) 😊. I also think it allows me to edit the document and does all the difficult things automatically. Thank u Adobe for making life easier

  11. It uses up nearly all internal memory during the save process like 10 gb for 100 scans The scanning part is great you hold the phone still it finds the borders of what you are scanning and it snaps the shot (scan). If it’s a book it takes two shots one per page. The edit section cleanup feature that uses your finger as the brush and a blend of nearby colors to paint over any flaws. Or you can select the paint over color. Then it saves as pdf. That’s the problem part. It takes up so much memory

  12. Marginal quality, to poor, in free edition. IDK if a subscription version is better, but many businesses want the subscription model in hopes of more profit & endless payments. I hate that & avoid “subscriptions ” where possible. I used a free scanner & got better and faster results, I did Adobe 2x & some was still blurry, it was slow, etc.

  13. Update: 5 🌟 2024. I just repurchased my yearly membership. In 2021 Abode Scan allowed me to scan convert and send important business documents without any issues. 2021.Great tool for scanning documents, files, etc, and converting to PDF which is easily attached to emails. Ability to crop, erase uneven borders, and rotate, in 1 easy step.

I’m updating my review because this app has noticeably improved since I first started using it two years ago. Today I tried to scan a book on a huge departmental scanner/printer, and I had so many problems trying to get a decent scan. Since I was in good lighting at work, I decided to try using Adobe Scan, and I got a beautiful scan of several pages from this book. This app gets better and better.

  15. I have been a user since 2017. Used many others but none as good as Adobe. I still have all my scanned docs in Adobe cloud. Can’t say enough good things about this app, but the biggest to me is that after all the updates over the years, there has not been much issue, if at all. Not breaking an already working app seems to be a rare feat amongst the productivity apps these days. Highly recommend. Download it now! You will not regret it.

  16. Pages often ended up incredibly blurry upon saving the file as a PDF, despite the preview pictures being clear. The auto cropping sometimes crops out the majority of a page (full of text). Savings PDFs through this app always takes ridiculously long. Trying to open a file to modify it is similarly troublesome. I found Microsoft Lens to have incredibly better quality, load much quicker, and just generally be a much less painful experience than Adobe Scan.

  17. The usual junk. Wants to save everything to their servers for data collection. “Premium” version can’t be outright purchased, they want $10/month ‘subscription’. It seems to be a capable program, but the corporate data mining and greed make it a zero. Create a purchasable, local save, non-data-collecting version, and maybe it’ll be worth something.

Cannot use this app without being forced to purchase a subscription. Needed to scan a few documents from my phone to my computer. This app allowed for the scan but in order to send it to my computer, they force you to purchase a monthly subscription to do so. Not worth it. It’s a major hassle to log in or sign up as you are forced to open a browser and log into your email to retrieve verification codes before being allowed to proceed. Expensive and time consuming.

Wow! OK, I just downloaded and used this app. I scanned a receipt and the resolution is so much better than camera JPEG. I was able to share this as file attachment via email, so the PDF can be stored locally. I do have a scanner, sometimes it loses it’s network and I have to spend almost an hour getting it back online. So, this will likely be perfect for a quick document scan. I will likely not use it for OCR or multiple page, but seems great for those single page emergencies!

  20. My phone isn’t a fancy brand, but does have plenty of RAM, and the camera is of good quality. That said, I did have to tweak a few settings to get my handwritten (in pencil) notes to show clearly. It didn’t take long, however, and now I am really happy with the features that allow me to capture, organize, and store all my notes, and to access them from all of my devices. I prefer to save to my Google Drive account instead of Adobe Cloud and there is no problem with that. 5⭐!
