  1. This is a very cool app. I have the upgraded version that has no ads. I paid $10 for it. The local weather forecast is awesome. The quality of details on the map at maximum zoom in is good, but could be improved with more roads’ names. It would also be good to have the map self-rotate with the phone. Those two suggested improvements are the reason why I give the app 4 stars. I would have given it 4.5 stars if it was possible.

  2. I’d think a lower rating would inspire you guys to do an even better job than if you received 5 stars. The Radar Map needs an auto rotate feature and the ability to add multiple overlays. I’ll give you two more stars if you fix that. Plus, any and all adds are inappropriate any way you cut it. They may be ok for the developer, but that doesn’t count (nor is it debatable).

  3. Best of the best! Like many people, I have had a carousel of weather apps. Some have good information, but are poorly organized. Others are slow loading (e.g. Underground Weather). Finally, I found a weather app that checks all the boxes. I liked it so much I gladly paid the small fee for a lifetime license (no ads!)

  4. Easy to use, easy to read. Allows multiple locations to be added. The radar is helpful in watching storms approach. The indexes are extremely helpful especially for those with severe health issues. My forecasts have been remarkably accurate with just a one to two degree difference. Unfortunately my home city is listed incorrectly and I cannot place a marker at my house which is 26 miles from the city it places me in but the the app still tells me the right forcast so this is a small problem.

  5. Love the app. Easy to use. Question though, is it possible to have multiple widgets with different locations? If not, I think that would be a great quality of life feature. I think it would be great to see at a glance weather in multiple locations instead of having to open the app and change locations. Edit: app appears to be inaccurate when comparing to other sources-removed a couple stars.

11/19/22 – 4th update. I have the paid, ads free version. A few times, after updates, I would be served ads but only briefly. I think it had to do with the update but this dev is highly responsive & fixes things quickly. I’ve been through many updates with this app and it just keeps getting better. It’s by far the best out there! I cancelled my Weather Channel app in favor of this one. I had ads free WC and they started sliding ads into the videos. Sneaky & dishonest. Get this instead!!!

  7. App has been good until recently. The widgets were the reason I got this app, even paid to get rid of the ads, but lately the widget keeps glitching and resizing itself. It loses the icons for the three day forecast and the refresh button. I have to manually resize it to fix the glitch, however the food is just temporary. Sent email about it but never saw a response.

  8. The ads are extremely invasive. I can’t try it out long enough to decide if I want to keep & pay for the premium version, becuz of the ads! Every time I click on anything, I get a pop up ad that I’m forced to watch before I can even close them. There are better ways to get people to buy the premium app, like offer premium upgrades, but not annoy the heck out of people to force them to buy. All that does is force me to uninstall & find an app that isn’t painful to use.

Clock is glitchy. I use the widget for time and weather. The numbers of the time clock do not show up most of the time. The numbers appear cut off. Not enough to see what time it is. I’ve removed, readded, uninstalled, reinstalled. Nothing fixed the glitch. If it didn’t have that issue, it’s probably be my favorite weather app.

  10. Convenient and thorough. If is an app is especially good I’ll buy the paid version of a lifetime deal is offered. I got the paid version of this one within minutes. Gets to all the info by just a little quick scrolling. Go from city to city by swiping left or right. No need to keep tapping icons. The 15 day forecast is taken from the AccuWeather data. The widget has several options. My widget shows temp, today’s high and low, next three days, time, date and location.

  11. J. Kimble dice:

This is an exceptional weather app. Worth the in-app price for an ad-less experience, although the ads were discreet and not as annoying as some other free apps. The interface is excellent and intuitive and the active radar is a nice feature. Best weather app I’ve used. Kudos to the designers!

  12. Change screens and you get a forever ad you can’t escape. Then try to change settings snd another ad. Then click on another option and you get another ad. I never did get to the setting I was looking for. Totally disgusted. I thought weather bug was terrible that way, but this is no better. Uninstalling.

  13. IB Fish dice:

Worst app I’ve tried so far.. turned my smartphone into a dumb phone. Very seldom is it even close to the right weather report. But it does give me two temperatures to choose from.. I guess it’s up to me to figure out which one it is. Often contradicts itself on the same screen. Definitely deleting.

  14. Nice little app! It’s simple to use and has a clean, fun design. The sun and moon charts are nice and the optional horoscope is a cute touch. The notification bar can be a little buggy and has a high memory use that can drain your battery. Turned it off and the rest of the app works great. Only problem is the sheer volume of third party trackers my vpn has blocked from this app. Several thousand a day (3-5k usually). Edit: Yes, you do have trackers. Google and Verison Media to be exact.

  15. I have installed and uninstalled no fewer than 8 free weather apps. This is bar none the best in coverage, the best in accuracy and the eadiest to use. I wish I could set my home town as a default and still add a couple other towns that I watch. Apparently I have to set each one as a default in order to view it then set my home back as the default. But that wont change my opinion of the app. Nothing is perfect. Thanks designers!

  16. I have tried many weather apps. Most do not update location and/or conditions. Devs always say it’s my phone settings. I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer but I can operate my phone and select the correct settings. This app is flawless and updates when it should. I am very happy . Thank you for a wonderful and useful app AND for being honest and delivering what you promise 🙂 Update 9/25/22- The latest update is awesome! Crisp new look and app is very responsive. Super easy to see all info

I like the app and have the paid version. The only issue I have is with the location. When I drive to another city it doesn’t update right away and I have it set to do that. Even when I hit the manual refresh it doesn’t update. I have to go into my phone settings to turn off and back on the location setting and then hit the refresh button to get the updated weather in the city I’m currently in. I emailed the developers weeks ago and never got a response. Poor customer service!

  18. The app works very well. I’m still getting used to the menus. They are not difficult in any way, I just forget where things are, haha. (like ‘rainfall by the minute’) Ads were not bad at all, though I did opt to purchase ‘no ads’. The ’emojis’ map cover is good for a giggle, but not much else. The widget is great. I think the app slows my phone just a tad. Other than that, this is a fine weather app.

  19. Lisa M dice:

Seems reliable but I’m frustrated by the ads that have come up just recently. Many of them are video ads that occasionally play loudly even when my phone is muted. I can’t have this in certain situations so I’m going to have to uninstall. I also have a double temperature in my notification bar that is a bit annoying. I can’t find a way to turn off this extra notification.

  20. Had to change my review. First year was great. Then I paid for lifetime premium instead of yearly. It didn’t make it a year. It reverted back to ads and all the premium features were lost. I went to see about upgrading AGAIN and it keeps trying to make me pay for each of my Google accounts. Except this wasn’t a problem the first year and a half. I’ve always had 2 Google accounts. I only have apps on one account. This app keeps wanting me to pay for both accounts to have this app. I want a refund

  21. App isn’t worth $10. The widget always resizes itself. But it is better than the Weather Channel app. I am giving it 3 stars because it basically holds you hostage with ads if you don’t pay a yearly or one time fee. Pretty scummy tactics as it would make you watch an add to see the radar or weather. If you are looking for a free weather app there are better without as many ads. If you want a paid weather app there are probably cheaper ones they may or may not be better than this one.

  22. It would be nice if I could actually get the weather for my city!! When I try to edit, your map shows no major Chicago suburbs!! No setting to have the weather automatically show on my phone starting at a specific time. If I want to check the weather, I have to open the app!! Seriously considering going back to WeatherBug. At least their app is more advanced and has more options!! The ONLY thing you have going for you is that you show 15 days instead of 10 days!!

  23. WARNING: Adware disguised as a weather app. The devs need to get paid, I get that, but every time I tried to go back to the main screen after viewing the forecast the app would play a long, offensively loud video & try to sell me the ad-free version before letting me switch. That’s ridiculous. I’d originally intended to buy it, but after repeatedly having to close the app to stop the ad from playing I uninstalled it instead.

  24. This weather: Live app was my all time favorite for getting accurate weather information. I’ve deducted one star due to the app constantly urging me to update by upgrading for a fee. When navigating to different areas within the app I now get constant long playing ads. I’m a senior on a low fixed income and cannot afford to pay an upgrade fee for apps that claim to be free to use but then after awhile make it difficult to use them easily without paying an upgrade fee.

  25. GT Llamas dice:

I paid the fee to upgrade. It worked without ads for 2 months and then the ads returned. I tried reinstalling and clearing anything I can clear. It always comes back to requesting that I pay again to remove the ads. I have contacted the developer and they are not responding. Play store isn’t being helpful either. I have never written a review but I’m doing so now so others will consider carefully spending the money to upgrade this app.

  26. It has some great features and a convenient interface but it is lacking in a few areas. The homescreen widget is a plus. The negatives; I’m not liking the radar interface. I much prefer the WeatherBug radar. Keep in mind, this is the free version of the app which contains ads that are a bit overwhelming. The countdown timer in some ads really drives me nuts. I understand there’s development invested and dollars need to be made. However; the ads are a bit overwhelming when taking over the screen.

  27. Wow, this weather app is great, very accurate, simple and easy to use, nice lay out and all the features are so cool to look at, especially the windmill, nice touch. I don’t really mind the ad, it’s not overwhelming, peoples have to understand the developers have to make an income somehow, the app is free after all. I didn’t update due to the fact a lots of complaint on the no rain reminder pop up, definitely could be annoying. I love it as it is, use it everyday, keep up the good work.

  28. Awkward location selection. I think I mentioned in an earlier review that the granularity of city selection was low, however this isn’t entirely accurate. You can select cities with high granularity, but the way that this is done with a map for uncommon places is awkward. You cannot zoom in very far on the provided map to find the desired location, however with a lot of trial and error by clicking or tapping on locations on the map you might eventually find it. It works but with difficulty.

  29. I really like the overall layout and ability to customize what I see. I downgraded it because I have been using it for several weeks and it frequently gives incorrect information about current and forecasted weather in my area. Indicates that it’s raining when there isn’t a cloud anywhere. Indicates 43% chance of showers all day when other apps (and actual weather) show 0%. Was considering paying for the add free version, but actually going to delete it.

  30. Un-necessarily intrusive ads. Completely stops whatever I’m doing. Takes up the whole screen. Sometimes even has a 5 second counter before I can close it. Ridiculous. Everything else is good so far. But those ads. Un-acceptable and extremely annoying. Reply to Developer: If it changes to something like a banner at the top that’d be a lot better. I wouldn’t mind that at all. But stopping what I’m doing for 5 seconds when all I’m checking in the app will take me 5 seconds is ridiculous. I will stick around for a change since so far your app is better than the weather channel app. Updating to 3 stars since you guys took the time to respond.

  31. Eeegads! I highly encourage anyone considering this app to read the “critical” reviews. The vast majority are spot on. Accuracy needs great improvement all around. What good is an app that can’t tell you what the temp really is, or that tells you it’s a sunny day only to look outside and see rain! I’ve had a lot of problems with lockups, and running in the background when I’ve told it not to. I have fast service too. Lastly the horribly LOUD ads that sometimes keep going when shut down.

  32. I think this is one of the best weather apps there is. It gives you up to the minute weather. As I drive for a ride-share company I tend to rely on an accurate and thorough weather app. I don’t like to drive much in foul weather. I like that you can see the weather hour-by-hour for a few days ahead for planning my weekly schedule. The widget is cool. If there were any improvements, I would love to see more creative artwork selections with the widgets. It’s a great app!

  33. It’s ok so far. Visually appealing BUT there is a lack of contrast + really small text for the hourly forecast that makes it almost impossible for me to read. I also have the same notification issue as another review mentioned. A constant notification that I like and an occasional extra notification that I don’t need. They seem to go together. Finally, no way to contact developer through the app, had to come here to find the email.

  34. Kim dice:

This weather app is miles above the rest, in my opinion. Like other reviewers, I’m also a weather nerd and have tried many apps. This one is a keeper. There are little things I would customize or adjust, but it’s very minor (or the developers may add that). The responsiveness of the data and the UI to frequently changing conditions in my area is excellent. (Other apps could not keep up.) Got the widget on my phone, and I check it often! 😎

  35. Very happy so far! I had the Weather Channel app. I upgraded to Premium, and paid $29.99 for a year. But soon I started seeing ads (Premium is supposed to be ad-free). I also got MANY reminders to upgrade to Premium. I couldn’t see all of the content because the app said I needed Premium, which I paid for! Sent messages AND emails, although it was VERY difficult to find information on where to send them. The ads stopped for a week or so, but then came back. So far this app seems MUCH better!

  36. Ryan dice:

The app gives you the option of entering your location manually, which I selected since this device sits at home always. Everything was going fine and I liked the interface and was considering buying the app, but then when I wanted to change the weather location, the problems began. It went into some kind of endless loop showing it’s location policy over and over again. I agreed every time, but then it just takes me in circles. App needs serious testing and work before release to public.

  37. Bob May dice:

The application live up to the review about its accuracy and efficiency and it’s good. I didn’t know so many weather apps were off base and not very reliable. I like the radar on this. Good information for drive times to and from work relating to weather conditions. It gets annoying asking me to pay money for the premium service. I’m considering it it’s that good but still annoying….

  38. Nice display, clear and clean. I haven’t seen any ads yet, so I don’t know how to rate that, but it seems nice that it isn’t bombarding me with them. I love the widget. There are five or six themes, and I can set the transparency. I haven’t seen that on a weather app before. I also like the Moon and Sun feature, which shows lots of details such as sunrise and sunset, Moon phase, wind speed. Some apps put these at the bottom of the screen but here you can choose what to view.

  39. Nothing particularly special or unique that would set this apart from similar apps. That said, it has been solid and reliable. I have never had it lock up or do anyone unexpected. There is one annoyance, and perhaps I am missing a setting that might prevent it, but there is a small window with a sort of abbreviated summary of current conditions. It’s not an ad but it pops up and forces me to close it before I can do anything else. Very annoying.

  40. This is an excellent app. very accurate. And I love the artistic layout of everything it makes it very easy on the eyes and gentle to read. I think we have all kind of gotten to where the need for dark modes and blue light glasses has become essential. So to see a nap that sticks with the cool colors that makes it easier on the eyes is refreshing.
